Good, central hotel in Lidköping. The hotel is on the main square, but was quiet at night. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. We really loved the selection of little pastries and cookies that were available in reception all day, complimentary. Tea and coffee also complimentary all day. Room was nice, very comfortable, and a good size. Breakfast was excellent. Great selection, highlights were the lovely redcurrants, yoghurt, and the sourdough bread (I'd go back for that alone!!!!)

Bathroom was clean, but it didn't really have place to put toiletries down, e.g. toilet bag. Towels were ok, I'd have preferred softer and more fluffy.

Only stayed one night but the bed was comfortable and the room had a fan which was essential for how hot and humid it was. Having the fan meant we slept much better so we were grateful for that. Nice location to walk around the town. Breakfast was good quality and varied. The facilities are small and the rooms are small too but we weren't looking for something huge so that was fine.

First of all: the staff is really nice. Very friendly people, everyone. Breakfast was very good, different types of fresh food. I particularly enjoyed the good bread, excellent müsli, pancakes and fresh fruit, among other things. Plus, the hotel offers free coffee, sandwiches and cake over the day, so you can have a Swedish fika in the afternoon if you like. Jättetrevligt. ;-) My room was ok. Furniture and bathroom were a bit dated, but I knew this beforehand (I had contacted the hotel when I booked and they had informed me that standard rooms weren't refurbished yet), so that's fine. Clean and reasonably large, with a desk. The hotel's located in central Lidköping next to the famous town hall (hence the name ;-). The station isn't far either, which makes the hotel a good starting point if you want get to places like Kinnekulle or Läckö using public transportation.

The one drawback with my room was that it could be a bit noisy at times. The walls are thin, so occasionally you get to hear someone snoring in the room next door. You also get to hear noise from outside. It seems that during the summer the seagulls keep screaming all night long (it's dark only for three hours or so), and unfortunately they used to make a racket on the roof right next to my window. But that's not the hotel's fault and there probably isn't much the hotel can do about it.

Good room and comfy beds. Little seating area. Bathroom is dated but good shower. Great coffee machine free all day. Breakfast was lovely and free cakes etc all day.

Check in was very poor. Reception not always staffed. Key code given for room key but no key left!! Had to call and person on phone was rude. We weren’t the only person that had a problem when we checked in.

This hotel would have been perfect except for overnight noise outside, which the hotel could do nothing about. Free hot and cold drinks in the lobby 24/7 along with biscuits, cake and sandwiches in the fridge. Lady in check in went above and beyond her duty, as well as being helpful and knowledgeable, when I said I had to leave before breakfast was served to catch a train, she came in earlier than normal to get breakfast ready. Exceptional!

Room overlooked the town square, with car park beyond, which was picturesque during the day, but was occupied throughout the night by people talking loudly, revving motorcycles and cars, and a football match using a tin can! This was partly quietened by closing the window, but not an ideal situation on a hot night, although I appreciate that there is nothing the hotel can do to remedy this.

Friendly and efficient staff. Lovely room. Good location for restaurants and shops. Constant supply of beautiful cafes and biscuits. Sandwiches in the evening. All free. Very good value.

Location not so good for touring from. Excellent buffet breakfast but ran out of some things if the hotel was busy but staff were very quick to amend this.

Very kind staff who has been very helpful - really great and appreciated, thank you! Complimentary sandwiches available 24/7. Small yet well equipped rooms with plenty of places where to hang clothes, towels etc (sometimes really missing in other hotels). Good wifi. Hotel parking was available for free (four places), otherwise one can park in front of the hotel (without charges between 18 PM - 08 AM).

We slept like babies so must have been super comfie… could have used tea/coffee in room but that’s probably my fault for not booking a room with that facility. It was excellent and we will visit again x

Appetising after-noon tea when arriving, excellent breakfast Big room of 25 sqm, new comfy head pillows, shower and bathroom very nice. The hotel situated in the absolute center of Lidköping but stil very quiet surroundings.

No shelves for clothes, though thumb ups for the hangers. No socket near the bed-though we had a cord that reached one side of the bed
