Perfect little hotel, "Kulturmärkt" which means they can't change a lot of the house since it's protected. The breakfast is really good (love the waffles) and abundant. The rooms are old style with birds nest windows but the ambiance on the surrounding makes the perfect. The bed is soft and cosy. The restaurant itself is worth a visit alone, the quality on the food is up there next to any classier and fancier and more expensive restaurants in the big cities. The chef tries to use the local and also the season ingrediants and they turn out delicious food for modest prices. The staff is friendly and attentive to keep you happy and satisfied, while you are there get to know a little bit of the history of the place that started in the way back in the 400 and from roughly 1000 it started it's form up until 1900 when it sort of had it's last major reconstruction. It has a lot of historical connections to both royalty and to the church. I can really recommend the place if not for the food itself. Try the Toast skagen, The Bookmaker or their speciality Stjarneskud... perfect with a beer or two. Nice and quiet surrounding but still close to the main road without it is disturbing the peace. They also have a sauna and a barrel tub.

Very nice surroundings and friendly staff

There was no aircon in the room and it was very warm the two nights we stayed. We left both window halves wide open but then you hear the noise from the highway instead. It wasn’t a lot of traffic at night so that was good.

- very soft mattress, could do a little bit of renovation (although it's not as bad as presented by others IMO)

The location was beautiful. When we arrived, the staff was very kind, and helpful, and even upgraded us for free as they had a bigger room available. The room was very clean and well kept. The property was well-kept and very scenic. There were bikes to rent as well. The breakfast was simple, and the other meal time options looked wonderful.

A mini fridge in the room would have been great, as we had been traveling for a little while and had some snacks we would have liked to have kept. It is a 600-year-old property, however, so it may not be permitting for this. Other than that, not much feedback. It was very wonderful.

Beautiful location. Staff were friendly. Gave me alvidon from his personal items when i asked .

Could hear voices from next room. Even when they use the shower , we could hear.

The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. The food was amazing, every meal we had. Lunch or dinner, the options for both were spectacular. Bonus points for having a way for people with electric cars to charge.

The rooms need to be updated, decoration/electronics wise.

The location is great - its in the middle of nature. The history of the place is equally interesting with so much that has happened since the place was originally founded. We were aiming at just a pit stop in route for Skara Summerland but we found tranquility, comfort and some excellent food and wine at the hotel restaurant. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Not many to mention really. I guess a bit more attention to bathroom and the toiletries would have been nice. Perhaps a bit more food selection when it comes to breakfast, and may be to include pastries.

Everything is amazing in that hotel. Place, the nature, staff, food. Absolutely everything. Delicious breakfast. I cannot say anything wrong about that place.

I do not have much to say about the room as we got there late and left early except it had some nice antiques and the WIFI worked . The food, however was outstanding. Our dinner of salmon (mine) and "duet fish" (my husband's) were delicious and both had beautiful presentation which made the meal even more special. The staff and service were also excellent. Breakfast was also good and we left the Hotell knowing we would highly recommend it to friends and foamily.

We stayed in this hotel in February. On the day, we had a lot of snowfall. The next morning everything was covered by the snow and it was lovely. It was very reasonable and met my expectation accordingly.
