Small family owned hotel in the heart of Luleå. The hotel is built in an old wooden 3-floor building, I assume that this was renovated to be a hotel. Location is perfect, next to railway station and almost next to bus station. 5 min walk from the city center, being in the heart of the city but still a bit further way from the "noise". Easy to access by car, loads of parking space on the street. Parking payments can be done using the regular vignettes or with a common parking apps as ePark (evenings are free and Sundays also). The hotel offers paid parking on their yard for 75 SEK, which is rather cheap as well. Cozy lobby as well as the whole hotel. Friendly service when checking in. Free hot drinks available in the lobby incl cups etc. The breakfast was okeish, there was "everything" to eat, still being limited but definitely sufficient. A small breakfast room, making it difficult to handle when hotel is full. Most probably needing reservations/slots in advance. Rooms are "home"like, clean and nice to stay in. One minus is the missing AC from the room. The rooms ate having big windows which helps to manage the heat and air circulation. For some visitors who haven't got used to the all the summer night light, the rooms are having excellent dimming curtains. The room is dark during the night, so no worries.

Nothing major to mention. I was happily surprised as the current rating in Booking was saying 7.9 and the hotel is definitely more than that. So, maybe my expectation level was already lower and I was positively surprised.

The hotel is under renovation, so entering it felt a bit weird, like a construction site. The room was in the basement, but the basement is the already renovated area, so I was pleasantly surprised when I finally entered the room. Fresh and super clean, very spacious, great comfortable bed. Breakfast in the neighboring hotel of the same chain was great too!

A mini fridge would be much appreciated, for this and for having to carry large suitcases using a narrow staircase I cannot give a 10.

The room was clean, the beddings were also clean and the staff very helpful. I had 2 suitcases and one of the staff( a lady )who was cleaning the rooms helped me carry them on the stairs to my rooms. The breakfast was delicious. The location of the hotel is perfect. I'll definitely stay at SPiS Hotell Amber again❤️

It's kinda hard to carry suitcases on the stairs so l don't know if there is an elevator, but everything else was wonderful l can't complain

The bed was very comfortable and the thick curtains were very opaque so the (continuous) sun light did not bother me. Breakfast was excellent, with good variety (could have eaten easily different meals and i ate four morningst here) and the staff was helpful. Also it was adequately located, not too far from the Centre and for those interested very close to the railway station. What was best, it was in a very peaceful area so it was very silent (hardly more than two cars per minute passed by, maybe even less) - but this also correct for most of the town. The price was good for the area - but a bit steep compared to other cities given also the negative points.

First of all, there were thick curtains but no translucent curtains, so you either had privacy but no daylight or you had dailight but no true privacy. Second, the room was really not very spacious, and the bathroom in particular. Therefore, i found the shower quite difficult to use - basically, you had to clean every 10 seconds the floor in order for the water not to reach the door. It was manageable, but I would not advise for a longer stay. Especially with the wardrobe only spacious enough for two outfits.

This is a small hotel in the city center. The core center located only two blocks away. Both the room and the bathroom were clean and the breakfast sufficient. The staff was friendly and fluent in languages. Our dog was welcome. We were traveling by car. The hotel did not have its own parking spaces, but there was plenty of space for parking along the street. Parking was paid with a mobile application, such as Easy Park.

We stayed in July, the hottest time of the year. There was no air conditioning in the room, so it was quite hot in the room during the day. In the evening, the air cooled down nicely thanks to the wind, since Luulaja is located by the sea. We kept the windows open at night and thus, the voices of nighttime passers-by can naturally be heard in the city center.

Quiet location and inside the hotel. 5 minutes walk from train station and food outlets. Had an early start so prior to breakfast opening, so staff packed substantial take away for me. Good size room, comfortable bed, powerful shower, free coffee available in reception lobby.

All good.

Due to vagaries with cross border, cross time zone travel, I broke my trip around the Bay of Bothnia in Lulea in case I didn't make my night train to Stockholm, I'm glad I did. Would class this as a boutique hotel, its a small, its heritage building, its got its own style. Staff, couldn't be better. Facilities, everything you want and them some, fridge in room, kettle in room, spacious room, spacious bathroom, spotless & then there's breakfast. Wow! from fresh bread, to fresh juices, to freshly cooked hot stuff, to the amazing selection of cereal/granola/yoghurt stuff, cold cuts & cured/smoked fish. Probably one the best breakfast options I've come across. No probs with leaving luggage & staff even filled my flask when I collected my luggage prior to heading to Stockholm on the night train. EXCELLENT

Myself & probably lots of other travellers get caught out by heading to the sister hotel around the corner. Various apps just class both as same premises. Very simple remedy, have a map on the door of the sister hotel to guide travellers to the shared reception.

This is a nice little independent hotel in Luleå. I had a small single room. The room was fine. Cosy and clean. It had a hot water pot, and a small table/desk. Breakfast was spectacular! They had breads and crackers. They had cheeses, sausages and meats. They had boiled eggs and scrambled eggs. They had an assortment of muesli/granola and some other basic breakfast cereals. There was coffee, hot water for tea, fruit juices, sliced fruit. I asked and the staff member said you can buy just the breakfast if you live in town, or she said people arriving on the train sometimes stop in. I need to check on that and make that a monthly breakfast destination. The staff was very friendly and bilingual. There was a coffee machine on the lobby and hot water for tea.

There wasn't much to dislike.

Two-minute walk from train station, so great for train travellers stopping off at Luleå. Room is decently-sized, with a desk and chairs included, as well as five lamps. Decor is friendly on the eyes and staff is friendly, too. Hotel is housed in an old patrician house which gives a nice homely feeling. Breakfast is truly excellent, among the best I have had, with salmon, cheese, wonderful sylt (better than jam) and fresh cranberry bread, rolls, cereals etc.

Shower could use a door/curtain, as the water splashes right onto the toilet. If your shower lasts longer than five minutes the water is likely to start flooding all of the bathroom floor, and head for the room. A squeegee stick is provided, but...really? Also, a hot-water kettle in the room would be a welcome plus for many travellers wishing to make some tea or other quick hot drink, although it must be said that these are available at the reception area.

A lovely hotel rooms were very comfortable and had everything you needed. The hotel provided an excellent breakfast that set you up for the day.location was great, close to centre and quiet at night. Staff were friendly and helpful
