A wonderful hotel full of the charm of wonderful times gone by. We stayed in Deluxe Family room, which was huge, had view over the harbour, quiet (double doors to the hallway!), with comfy beds, great breakfast, big size shower. Staff was very friendly and complementary coffee/tea in the entrance to the hotel 24/7. Great value for money!

The furniture, wallpaper, wall-to-wall carpeting on the floor, bathroom equipment all fairly warn out (probably from the last renovation in 70-80s). Here its a case of cup half empty/full. They added to the old-day charm of the hotel but should have really been a bit more renovated (then at a higher price no doubt). Warning: We paid for parking behind the hotel (albeit not much) but on the weekends there is plenty of free parking just in front of the hotel (by the harbor).

It's central to Örnsköldsvik so it was very convenient to access restaurants and stores. We asked for stuff to prepare a sofa bed for sleep so we didn't need to do that when we arrived! And we got the new year sale price so it was a really great deal and we had a private sauna in our room that made our trip perfect! And the breakfast rooms was classy and beautiful. I highly recommend this hotel!

This hotel seemed like they are preferred not to meet the customer, and when they saw or met customers they were not really friendly that I felt. I felt a bit cold.

I really like the friendliness and responsiveness of the staff at First Hotel. They're very personable which is not the case at Elite Hotel. The premises here are dated but the charm of the building and the people make it worth your notice. The restaurant hall is very large and the offerings for the included breakfast are excellent. Elite Hotel's offerings are limited and so are the seating availability. If you want a real and authentic experience in Swedish hospitality, stay at First Hotel.

The only thing I didn't like was the disrepair look of this hotel.

Really wonderful breakfast! You will be happy! Dinner was tasty as well and surprisingly quite cheap (100kr) for hotel guests ant it was really tasty. Hotel is good located and has a nice history behind. Some facilities are old and should be renovated, like showers in sauna on the top or refresh bathrooms in the rooms but it’s really worth to stay and personel is really nice, kind and helpful. We are waiting to another time to visit this hotel with pleasure!

Change showers in sauna. Fix some free parking.

It was an overall really good experience! Sure, the hotel could use some updating and maintenance but it seems like they are working on it and you can clearly tell the quality it used to be. Staff was very friendly and attentive and especially the breakfast was amazing!! There were even plenty of vegan options which was very much appreciated

Some of the repairs seemed quite temporary, e.g. the bathroom vent fastened with duct tape

very central (trainstation within less than a 10 minutes walk, next to the waterfront), brilliant breakfast, helpful staff, spacious rooms, all day free coffee & tea at the lobby, fair pricing, historic building

Örnsköldsvik is very quite on Sundays (i.e. shops are mostly closed, public transport is barely running). However, this has nothing to do with the hotel!

Excellent breakfast including everything I like. Good location near city center as well as waterfront. Great reception. Good to have free coffee and tea. Easy to get parking lots as well. I would recommend this hotel to others.

The bathroom was very old, shower was not the best and the cabine not so fresh. Also interior of room was very old. I prefer to have keycards before heavy keys in metal. The shades/blinds didn't work. Apart from that I think it was good.

Good breakfast. First time I've hade perfectly cooked softboiled eggs in a hotel. Very helpful staff. We stayed in the hotel a week earlier and we left a couple of things behind by mistake. The staff found them and kept them safe until we returned a week later.

Personal preference, but the bed was a little too soft for me.

A hotel with a special charm! The atmosphere in the hotel is special and pleasant. Helpful staff and help with any request. A quiet breakfast with a good variety of choice (a little fresher vegetables would be nice). Good location of the hotel, spacious and warm room with a sitting area and a beautiful view. Lovely staff members.

You can invest a little more in cleaning the room and bedding. Other than that perfect.

Breakfast was absolutely wonderful with plenty of variety! We used the option for parking. Location to the wharf and neighborhood sightseeing was wonderful.

Playing quieter jazz on your patio and stop play by 9 or really turning it down at 9. Eliminate music that has a heavy bass output. Our room was directly over the patio.
