Outside sauna was nice. Entry side was nice and cosy. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good. Hotel with a history

Dinner was not good but expensive! Meat was so well done that it was difficult to chew. But we had to eat because we were hungry and there were nothing else to order in the hotel. Desert was swimming in oil and it was disgusting. We gave a feedback to the waiter she didn’t even made discount for it. It was full of hair in shower drain.

Food was plenty, but strange combinations. Service was polite, but really slow, dinner menu is just one choice, but still have to wait 45 minutes. Desserts are not tasty, sorry for honesty.

Beautiful place to stay with charme, good breakfast and fantastic location. We would definitely book this again. We also had the chance to have dinner at the restaurant and it was absolutely amazing.

Really the only thing to mention is that if anyone in the house is awake and they open/close a door, you are awake too.

We stayed only for one night in the off season en route from Sweden to Norway. The accommodation is very clean and functional. The restaurant was closed for dinner, but there was a fabulous breakfast buffet included in the booking. I imagine the hotel would be very cozy and atmospheric in the winter as a base for skiing. The owners are very experienced skiers (with lots of cool photos on the hallway walls), and there is a sauna onsite.

The hotel was a great choice as a one night stop in the off season. However it is a 10 minute drive from Åre, and there is not much available in the immediate area.

Fantastic location with amazing views, the hotel is understandably a bit dated but still a lovely space with lots of character + renovations ongoing whilst we were there so am sure it will look fresher soon. Staff very helpful both before with questions around transport and during our stay.

Restaurant, bar and other spaces were closed during our visit as it was low season. We did receive an email shortly before we arrived to advise this + that breakfast would be limited. This wasnt much of a problem to us as were mainly out hiking but I think people should be notified of this at booking. Not a huge issue though and would still recommend booking!

The staff at check-in were extremely friendly. The abeyance of this hotel had the right organic feel to feel a sense of Hygee. The complementary breakfast/buffet was incredible. There was live music during dinner one evening, very talented musician. The staff were friendly in guiding us on what to do in the area and went above and beyond. The rooms where very comfortable and clean. The Outdoor sauna was 10/10 -----Highly recommend it I use to travel for a living (Ex-Flight Attendant) and have been fortunate enough to have travelled all around the world and stay in some incredible places. However this would be one of my top 3 hotels! It did not feel like a hotel, it felt like staying in an upscale bed and breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Mattresses and pillows to sink into, a Mountain View from our window, candles, fur rugs, delicious Swedish food and friendly welcoming staff. Plus the outdoor sauna, where you can heat up looking at the trees and cool off in an icy cold barrel of water if you dare!

I can’t find fault. Our room was compact, but excellent value and there are bigger rooms available.

The location was very good for exploring the Åre / Österhund areas. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were friendly ,helpful and spoke English extremely well.

It would have been good to have tea/coffee making facilities in our room. The TV channels available were rather limited.

Occasionally felt a little cold in bedroom (and public areas too), the background fan heater was provided for the room which helped but made it dry and airless. Maybe just because we are not used to these Winters!!

Very stylish hall. Amazing restaurant in the hotel with North food. Good breakfast. Available Free Bastu in the forest area. Very good hotel to stay in summer time.

No light in the shower room, but there is light in bathroom, so it is ok.
