We were staying just a night at the property "The Cotswolds Villa". We loved the place. The property surrounded by forest and mountains. The room was clean, neat and tidy. The owners were friendly and helpful. The interior based on solid timber (wooden house). We had nice breakfast in the glasshouse looking toward the views. Highly recommended. This accommodation was a little too much for our budget. We traveled from the city took many hours to get this places. We came at the wrong season so didn't experience autumn leaves as seen on website.

The Place: The villa is truly welcoming, designed to help you leave all your worries behind. Our room was spacious, cozy, and thoughtfully equipped with bed heaters that made every night warm and comfortable. The breathtaking view from our room was complemented by day curtains that kept the morning sun at bay, ensuring uninterrupted sleep. For those who need to stay connected, the WiFi worked perfectly.The bathroom —spacious, clean, and with hot water on demand. The property felt incredibly safe, even at night, with ample lighting that made exploring the grounds easy and enjoyable. The Experience: Breakfast was a highlight, featuring homemade bread (prepared by the lovely owner, Karina!), fresh fruits, milk tea/coffee etc. All this was enjoyed with a stunning view of the mountains. Picture yourself savoring a meal while soaking in the lush greenery—it’s an experience to cherish. The Hosts: Karina, Norris, Clark, and their adorable dogs Amber and Mocha made our stay unforgettable. Their warmth and kindness were truly unmatched. They went above and beyond to ensure our trip was smooth and enjoyable, from planning our itinerary to translating bus stops and more—all done with incredible patience and care. The Cotswolds Villa combines stunning scenery and heartfelt hospitality. Whether you’re looking to relax or explore the beauty of Nantou, this is the perfect place to stay. The antique European architecture and interior decor. Like the Monet painting chosen in my bedroom (205). The window overlooking QiLai mountain plus sunrise was amazing. The homemade bread was exceedingly good. Thank you Carina (a young beautiful girl running the place as the second generation of family business) for the rich, creative, nutritious, yummy sandwich prepared for my take away breakfast. It’s devine 👍👍. The buffer breakfast was superb too with multiple choices including fresh local fruits like papaya and guava. Thank you Clarke for taking my suitcase up and down the staircases and giving me a ride to the next lodge 🙏🙏 Will surely come again in future.

The bedside plug holes were not holding the charger firmly.

Beautiful villa with a great view and the nicest hosts! If you're planning a trip up to Cingjing, look no further, this is the best place to stay. You can walk to the farm from here. The room is so spacious, and the breakfast is simple yet comes with a personal touch; they serve fresh homemade bread which is so good. The villa is nicely maintained and has beautiful trees and greenery, we loved taking photos everywhere! Also there's a fantastic restaurant just a couple of minutes walk away, the chicken is a MUST try! Thanks again to the lovely hosts, they really care about giving their guests a wonderful experience and we will stay here again next time we visit.

Charming older property with and extremely freindly host who is a fluent English speaker and went out of her way to help and answer questions. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Excellent breakfast buffet.

Small thing to consider is that while the property has excellent views of the valley, it is at the lower end of the town at the bottom of the hill. This means it is more likely to have low cloud that higher properties. This was the case for our stay. I was looking forward to sunrise, but we were in the mist. I drove up to the top of the town which was clear. The low cloud cleared around 8am.

A wonderful stay option at qingjing farm. It is a small set up which makes it more personal. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast had enough options for vegan and meat eaters. Views were great. Location is 10 mins away from the farm. A big thank you Chris , noris and Karina for bearing with all my questions and requests. They were very kind hosts. Strongly recommended !!

The room is huge and the view was fantastic and really amazing! The bedsheets and towels were freshly washed with a nice scent. The owners were really nice and friendly. They provided a lot of help and suggestions. They helped with carrying our luggage, helped make reservations for our dinner and sunrise tour. On our last day, one of the staff was worried we didn't have enough for breakfast and hence he even packed extra bread for us to takeaway with us so we could have it anytime we got hungry while on our way. Thank you for the warm hospitality! :)

There is no Aircon in the room (natural air ventilation is used instead) but a fan was provided. It was not a problem at night and in the morning. But can get a little warm if you were to sleep in the room in the afternoon during summer (June). The outer signage of the accommodation was not obvious and clear enough from where we alighted the bus. The signage can only be seen from the uphill direction but we had to walk downhill after alighting from the bus (at the stipulated bustop) and hence it was easy to miss it.

Room and toilet was clean. I am able to see the mountain scenery during the day and stars during the night all in the room. You can book a sunrise tour from the hotel itself which I would recommend. Breakfast is a buffet style and the food was great. I liked the homemade bread especially.

Saw a big spider crawling. I am not sure if it is poisonous. There is no switch to turn off the table lamb at the side of the bed. I have to pull out the plug in order to turn it off. Other than that its fine.

Staff were very welcoming. As there were steps going to the rooms, the staff helped us with the luggage. The view from my room was great! The also provided baby tub & stool. Bed comes with electric warmer. Can adjust the temperature to your liking. Breakfast was quite a spread, with homemade bread and Taiwanese porridge and others.

I love everything about it. The staff commented that you might not want to leave once I stayed and he is correct. 🥲 I love the unusual view (being a city girl), the homemade breakfast, the warmth of the staff and being near food options and the farmland. (climbing up for sure but it's better than being stranded). Pick the mountain view room. It is worth the splurge.

Be prepared to be fairly inaccessible as you are near the top. There was much hiking for up and down. Might not be ideal with elderly/kids. The only thing else that will make it perfect is if there was a car service to drive pick up and drop you off along the mountain.
