Such a beautiful, zen spot and made to feel like home. Could have spent a week in our cabin, enjoying the sounds of flowing water. Useful to have free bikes and lovely walking nearby. Great option to have a break from the cities.

Location is lovely but far from the city, taxis don't like coming that far out and we had to walk back to the main road to catch one getting in. Breakfast is okay, lovely to be home cooked but not very catered to western tastes. Unfortunate slight noise pollution in the evenings, not sure what was causing the music/loudspeaker but didn't stop us sleeping.

Loved everything about this place. The family that run this accommodation are so friendly and caring. They maintain this property to a very high standard and the service is super efficient. The home cooked breakfast was exceptional and if you required a home cooked dinner they could arrange this for you. They arranged a complimentary transfer to and from the bus station. Exceptional place and is now one of our favourites. So traditional.

It was a little out of town, but in hindsight this was not a drama and it was easy to arrange GRAB. The benefit was a lovely rural setting near the University. Well worth the drive for the tranquility.

We were expecting a King bed from a “King Room”. I am 6’ 3” and 230 lbs and my wife likes her own space. The picture showed lots of room on both sides of the 2 pillows. The room, however; was very cozy and the bed was somewhere between a double and a queen. Nice rooms in the area are 20 bucks so 60 bucks seemed high for a “king room”. For one night, we made it work :)

What a beautiful place to stay. We cannot recommend it enough. The chalet we stayed in was lovely, quirky and absolutely immaculate. We are just sorry we could not stay longer. We had a delicious meal served on our terrace which was exceptional. The hosts were so welcoming and have put a lot of work into the property with great attention to detail. We had to leave early for the airport but the owner prepared some breakfast for us. The gardens are beautiful with many lovely places to sit and admire the surroundings.

Nothing, it was perfect.

My husband and I stayed at the Romani Villa for a few rest days after Bangkok and travelling for several weeks. We could not have picked a better spot - the location was so serene and quiet, set in a lush manicured garden. The cabin/villas are thoughtfully designed and the hosts are just so friendly. Great restaurants nearby and easy to get to by bike. Highly recommend

A truly magical place. Everything was perfect. The family that operates the villa is really sweet, helpful and just wonderful. We reserved the largest cabin and it was perfect for our 5 night stay. We enjoyed great breakfasts every morning (american breakfast and 5 thai options, we tried a different one each morning - all great). The location just outside of the university is perfect for exploring Chiang Rai. We used the bikes available to guests to ride to the beautiful park close by and walked to dinner a few nights to restaurants close by. The energy, calmness and overall beauty of the property is amazing. We enjoyed every minute we spent here and wished we had booked more days.

EVERYTHING!!!! The owner is so nice and welcoming. They have a magnificent garden. The rooms are clean and tidy with all amenities. Very peaceful place to stay. Esso the driver who took us on a day trip was marvelous. He was so caring and helpful. We had another driver on our last day who was also very kind and caring.

- All the design decorations, plants, and care in making Rommai Villa into a sanctuary to relax, whether it be hammocks, sunbeds, and a variety of seating. - It does feel private even though there are other villas. - The yummy breakfast and the wonderful conversations with the family.

What a gem. Such beautiful accomodation. The rooms are so thoughtfully designed and relaxed. Loved the seating and hammocks around the lovely gardens. The family were so helpful. We travelled for 6 weeks around Thailand, Laos and Cambodia and this was our favourite accomodation.

Location is just perfect! Approx 5-6 km away from downtown is exactly what one needs if one needs to enjoy the tranquility of solitude. If one complains about taking cabs for €3-4 then one shouldn’t be coming to Thailand or to this wonderful place.
