This was such a fantastic place to finish off my 3 months travel around in Thailand. In my opinion this friendly little place is by far the best place for foreigners to stay in Nang Rong. Back in the days, you found these kinds of places to stay everywhere, but unfortunately they are fast disappearing. It's more of a Guesthouse than a hostel, with nice, clean and practical rooms with a fridge, and private bathroom with hot shower. My room was on the first floor with a 'no view' window, but when you open the window, you see they have decorated the wall with red flowers. Don't get put off by what you see from the back side when coming from the bus station. Around the corner is the entrance to a yard full of plants and cozy rustic outdoor sitting areas. The restaurant is open all day and cold drinks are for sale. Not a lot of choices, but what they do have is very good. It's run by a sweet old couple and their daughter. English is spoken. The WiFi is excellent and they are switched on with travellers needs. Informasjon regarding public transport is available, and they do 1,2 or 3 temple tours to Phanom Rung. They even dropped me off at the bus station when I was leaving. At first I thought it was far from ideal to pay a 500 B deposit when my next destination was Cambodia, but this payment actually goes towards your food and drink purchases, so it was no problem at all. (By the way, the Chong Chom/ Out Smach border crossing to Cambodia is smooth as butter)

It was nothing I didn't like.

Mr. Wicha and all the staff are very helpful and nice. They rented us a scooter to go to Phanom Rung. Room is big and comfy. Great for a short touristic stay to visit the khmer temples. The night market is super near. Thanks for all!

Breakfast is a little expensive for what It is, but it's.good. Anyways, there are a lot of places nearby so you can always go eat somewhere else. Our room had all the noice of the neighbor shower so we woke Up very early in the morning when he used the bathroom water.

Breakfast was very good, and very reasonably priced. They also rent motorbike for 200 baht per day which is necessary for visiting the Khmer sites scattered around Nong Rang. Some of these sites are remotely located and they are best visited by private transport. Nang Rong is a small place and everything is within walking distance. The night market and 7-11 is 10-15 minutes walking distance from P.California. Mr Wicha was also very kind and dropped me in his car till Nang Rong bus station for my journey to Khorat.

Bugs might get in the room if the door is left open.

Beautiful green property suitable for a budget stay. The senior couple who run the place are most helpful with information and kind hosts. They rent out bikes and everything in town is within walking distance. They have useful maps of Nang Rong and how to reach sites like Phanom Rung and Mueang Tam. The breakfast is also very good. Overall a top recommendation for staying at Nang Rong.

A few bugs might get in the room if the door is kept open, otherwise everything is perfect.

Very kind and helpful hosts. Breakfast could be arranged earlier than the regular hours. The room is equipped with a refrigerator. And there is a garden with seats. The hotel is located at the outside of the town, but restaurants/shops are on walking distance. AND: a cool Chang beer can be ordered!

No remarks.

Quietest place I have stayed in this trip to Asia. I was room 103 on opposite side of the road, it may be noisier on the road side. Simple, clean and comfortable room with good aircon and bathroom. The owner and his wife were very helpful and the meals that could be purchased were very nice. Centrally located so walkable to the temples, bus stop and main street.

The room was big, the bed comfortable, breakfast was great. The host was very helpful with excursions to the nearby temples.

I booked an upgrade to have a room with a terrace/balcony to enjoy some time reading outside but the room I got was great but did not have a terrace or balcony.

Great place to stay. The room was excellent. Comfortable bed, bedside tables, small table and chairs, fridge, quality fixtures and fitting. Aircon and fan. Lovely hot shower. Outside communal areas to have breakfast or just sit and meet other guests. There are a selection of breakfasts in the morning at a good price. But the main jewel in the crown is the owners. Wicha and Pom. He does the tour of the local Khmer historical sites. He is very knowledgeable and makes the tour so informative and enjoyable. Don't leave without doing the tour. There are also bikes to rent. Advice is given for local restaurants and onward travel can be arranged. Loved my time spent here.

Nothing at all.

Stayed here twice now when going to the festival at Khao Phanom Rung. Its got a good location, not far from the main road. The staff are always lovely. Rooms are a decent size, have plenty of sockets and parking just outside. Breakfast is basic but really nice (fruit, toast, and eggs any way you want them) and the dining area is really pleasant, looking across the pond behind the hotel.

Beds were a little hard - but that's often the case in Thailand, so you kind of expect it. Would be nice to have tea/coffee facilities available - not just at breakfast time.

Excellent informative and knowledgeable hosts. Despite the cook being off sick, excellent vegetarian meals were provided with 3 different options. The host was a historian who gave us a lot of information about the historical sites which helped us plan our itinerary.

Helpful to have a guest’s fridge but the hosts allowed us to use theirs.
