We had an excellent experience at the Marlin Hotel in Surat Thani. The hotel is clean and well-maintained, and the value for money is truly outstanding. We booked three rooms, each with two comfortable and spacious beds, good air conditioning, and an excellent bathroom. Special thanks go to Poom at the reception. He speaks good English and not only helped us greatly when we lost a bag at the airport, but also truly made sure it was returned to us. His dedication, persistence, and personal commitment made all the difference. In short: a very pleasant stay and highly recommended for anyone visiting Surat Thani!

It was great value for money. The rooms were spacious and clean.

My husband bought breakfast vouchers, before he realised that it was very much only Asian breakfast. When we tried to return them, 5 minutes later, they said it wasn't possible. Which we found a little ridiculous. You could hear the elevator sound through the walls. It wasn't very loud, but if you have trouble falling asleep, you might want to request a room far away from the elevators. The location wasn't amazing. We chose it, because it was rather close to an indoor playground. Though there is a mall a few minutes walk from it, which was good to know.

I didn't stay enough in the hotel as it was just a stopover before going to Koh Samui. But the room was really good and the bed was massively large. What we love most. The shower was one of the best that we have in Thailand. The staff don't speak English very well but they made a lot of effort to help us and make them understand

Decent location, within walking distance to a Lotus mall and 7-11. The room was spacious and quite comfortable, and reasonably priced.

Cleanliness could be improved, there were stains on the sheets and some of the towels, and stuff from previous stays left behind the couch cushions. Also the staff, whilst polite and nice, doesn’t speak much English.

Without a doubt this property is a “hidden gem” and one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Centrally located in Surat Thani. The hotel is beautiful and clean. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Your breakfast will not disappoint you and more than you could eat. Above all,every staff member has a “can do” attitude and nothing requested is a problem. Definitely a property to return to many times!

Stopped here for 2 nights before going to the islands. Room was large, modern and clean. Sufficient for a stopover hotel. The shower flooded a little. No toilet paper was provided. Breakfast was very basic in a clinical style room 😄 Breakfast was watermelon, fried eggs, 2 types of delicious Thai food, rice, tea and coffee. There is a large Market very close by if you turn right when you exit. Fruit, clothes, veggies worth a walkthrough. Not much else to see around the hotel. Good value for money was a decent stay.

In my opinion, the breakfast was a bit lacklustre. When I returned for a second stay later in the month, I didn't bother paying for breakfast, as I didn't feel it was worth the extra cost the first time.

Breakfast was good, Thai style, but if you come to Thailand to eat continental or English breakfast then this isn't the one for you. I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast, good options. Rooms were clean, shower is good. They even give mini bottles of shower gel and shampoo. Good size beds and have extra bed if needed. They have a few restaurants down the road that are really cheap and delicious authentic Thai food. Staff there are really friendly too.

Cant say I didnt like anything really apart from the fact there was a storm and the windows leaked and the floor got wet and wet my suitcase and a few items of clothing. It wasn't too bad though and I didn't complain, I just told them about it as its out of their hands really. Other than that the hotel was excellent.

Nice and clean hotel close to the mall. A good idea to hve some japanese toilets installed. Quite surprising but worth to be mentionned. Cheap and good hotel o come back to when in town. Quiet and clean rooms with gentle staff.

Breakfast was not our kind so we prefered to get out of hotel. Limited options around but Surat Central is not far and plenty of options there.

It was a one night stay for us. Reception staff was very friendly and efficient. The room was spacious, bright and well lit although it could use some deep cleaning (washing floors and headboard etc.) It is a very well priced accommodation. Other than that it is a very good value for your money.

Our only complain would be the breakfast which we found almost inedible. Hands down the worst food we had on our month long trip.
