I really enjoyed this hotel. The great team of staff were amazing, always there to offer advise, assist with Taxis e.t.c. Location was fine, close enough to town albeit i never really saw any town. Looking at previous reviews the Lodge has stepped up with its breakfast offerings, I'm a big breakfast man and there was great selection. On the last day, I had the best scrambled eggs ever. Lovely atmosphere in the evening for end of the day drinks and something to eat.
General cleanliness and lack of maintenance. Whilst I appreciate this is a three star property it cant be that hard to apply a coat of paint in the rooms. A simple and cheap way to renovate a room.

Great location, lovely deck area, restaurant food was delicious, morning coffee included with breakfast was great, staff were fantastic, bed was really comfortable.
White toast is all that is included with the breakfast, we had read reviews and was aware that was the case so had made other plans for breakfast each morning. The coffee was great though! The rooms are quite dated, nothing fancy but very comfortable, even though we paid more for 1 garden view room & had 1 standard room, I would just stick to the standard room, there is no difference (bathroom slightly bigger).

The staff were very friendly and we really enjoyed happy hour drinks and snacks on the deck each evening. The waitstaff were amazing and amusing! It was great to have use of clean beachtowels on request. Loved the meals we had in the restaurant. This place was popular with dignatories and I would suggest it was the location and professionalism of the staff.
The floors are wooden, so when the occupants of the next room start moving the furniture around (when they arrive late at night), it disturbed a few of us. Perhaps putting some pads on the chair legs would help. We had issues with bad sewerage smells coming up through the pipework in the bathroom. Also housekeeping turning off the aircon and not replacing the soap. Little things, but slightly annoying.

I upgraded to a room with a balcony which was so much nicer and better value fir money
It would be great to offer fruit as an option to toast as complimentary breakfast due to people who have coeliac disease or are gluten intolerant.

Breakfast was very good. It’s advertised as free but that is the continental breakfast I believe. Ordered off the menu instead and it was delicious. Plus the setting and ambiance is really nice. Highly recommend! Also the bartender (I can’t recall his name unfortunately) is very helpful and makes sure you have everything you need. The owners/managers were very kind as well. Also, it is reasonably walkable to all the main spots like restaurants and bars on the Main Street.
I don’t have any big criticisms. Some might point out WiFi but frankly, connectivity is a challenge everywhere on the island and this was one of the better places I’d been to with respect to that. Overall great place and would stay again.

We had a day between connecting flights within Tonga. The deck overlooking the ocean is very comfortable for lounging. This hotel met our needs for a shot 1 night trip. The hotel was very cute and the restaurant had good food and drinks. The staff were friendly. The hotel is in a walkable location.
The nightly room cost is a high for the "budget" garden rooms. Service in the restaurant at breakfast was a little slower than I expected, even for the South Pacific. It was a minor annoyance.

Staff were absolutely amazing and the food is good. You can count on staff to look out for you for transfers & other information. Very friendly & helpful.
Room nothing special for the money with chips, broken light, marked wall, bent blinds - just very poor attention to detail. That said comparable with prices in Nuku it is still reasonable for what you get but just don't have high expectations. Stayed in Balcony room week before and similar - better attention to fixing/ tidying things would go a long way.

Very nice rooms that are modern with Pacific design influence. I got upgraded to a Seaview room which I was really happy about. Close to town, good parking, very good restaurant.
Only two things that I didn’t like- they don’t have a proper barrister coffee machine and the pork wasn’t very good at the restaurant.

Very nice hotel, clean rooms, delicious breakfast and food in general. The stuff also very warm.and welcoming, tries to help with whatever you might need! The location is also very good, couple of minutes to the Kings palace and the center of the town, but just enough far for quiet nights. Nice view of the ocean too.

The attentiveness and service from the staff was the best I have experienced in all my travels, they really made sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. The food that was served in the restaurant was really good and they made sure our friends child was safe in an adults chair when he decided that he didn't want to be in the high chair anymore. The deck out the front of the restaurant and accommodation was a great place to have a drink while watching the sunset.
The booking.com accommodation description said that there were bikes that were able to be hired but we found that this wasn't the case which was a little disappointing as we were keen to bike around to explore the island.
