We stayed as married couple. Excellent staff, great location, rooms are clean and comfortable. Parking is very convenient, the hotel has a big underground parking , so if you have a car you can park your car and get to your room easily , that’s a very big plus for me. I stayed in many of the hotels in that area and for the next visit to Ankara this hotel will be my first choice. By the way , the name of the hotel is Grand Mercure , not Downtown Hotel.

There is a street with a lot of restaurants, bars and cafes, and our first room was looking to that street. Because of loud music and noises we couldn’t sleep well , then we asked for a room change . Fortunately, there were available rooms and we were moved to the other side of the building and the room there was very quiet and good. You’d better ask for a quiet room during your check in.

God, their breakfast is gorgeous, they offer salmon, pastry, very good coffee, meals are various and very tasteful. Besides, I come for work and very oftenly I have to work in my room, so I can take away coffee, fruits, honey or some pastry with me. Once I didnt have a cup in my room, I went down to the restaurant for it, their restaurant manager Kerim bey occasionaly met me there and sent a plate with pastries and teapot to my room. That was real gest! High rate

believe or not but I never ever experienced unpleasant situations in Grand Mercure hotel. I am experienced traveller, visited more than 30 countries and 50 hotels from no-star till 7-star ratings and quite spoilt. Grand Mercure (Downtown) hotel is my brilliant find in Ankara

Beautiful Hotel, So far the best one I have been to in Ankara. The location is good, Nearby metro, near some pubs, It not the old-centre but more the "offices" centre. Good restaurants, many choices. The bed and als very important the pillow was great, no good bed without a good pillow. We made a photo of the pillow brand, so we can buy them at home. The location was ideal once we found it, as the hotel is listed under a different name (Mercure). It's a pleasant and comfortable place to stay in Ankara, conveniently close to shops (Armada shopping center) and the Metro station. The staff are friendly.

Information regarding the alteration of a hotel reservation name before arrival is available. The breakfast was quite enjoyable, albeit costly, at approximately 20 euros per person. Additionally, swimming caps are required and can be purchased for 7,5 euros a peace.

The property is in an area where there are other hotels and a major shopping mall just little outside of the inner city. If the location is what you want, it is one of the best places to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was very rich and diverse, the room was upgraded for me; it was very large and clean.

Not much except to say that the area where the hotels and shopping mall is a bit under developed in terms of infrastructure (like roads, pawments).

Very comfortable pillows, very friendly reception (helped us for late check out!), good spa ! The hotel situated in the heart of restaurants street. It was very comfortable for lunch, dinner, even for breakfast! Next to Armada Mall so if you need any shopping you can get in for 5 minutes! The elevators was very smart and quick!

The hotel SPA need to be more flexible. They don`t access/permit to swim in the poll with hotels plastic caps and we have to pay and buy from them other type of shower caps for swimming. No hot drinks at all. But when we asked they brought tea for us for 2 times.

Check in was earlier than standard time, which was awesome as I arrived after a long night flight. Thank you very much for that! Room is super spacious and very comfortable. Cleaning was upon request which I didn’t ask very often, only complimentary water refill. Breakfast was less variety as other Mercure hotels I’ve stayed before, but overall it was very good quality. Service around the hotel is exceptional, with everyone eager to help and most knowing English (which is rare for Ankara…). Location is good, with lots of cafes around, mall, easy transportation (metro). Pool is great!, steam room didn’t always work, sauna was amazing.

One minor thing that surprised me was the spa receptionist. In the beginning of my stay I’ve asked what is the size of the pool. Pretty normal and simple question. She didn’t know (which is fine, you can’t know everything). But she didn’t even bother to look up the information or ask someone. I’ve asked again a few days later, she still didn’t know and didn’t make any effort to find out info about her area of work. I’ve asked to check with reception, and she called with attitude and got the answer right away. Very strange way of work with guests :) especially since the spa was not busy at all, and I was most of the time the only visitor in the spa. Oh well, it didn’t affect the relaxation in the spa zone.

Overall the service and cleaning was perfect. Specially they put some fruits on the plate to welcome you. It's more liked which some hotels are not doing it. Breakfast was amazing. Service personell are very friendly.

I stayed on the 16th floor and internet connectivity was not good over there. There was no internet connection at the restaurant where I did my breakfast and I hear some guests also complained abut it cause some people are checking inbox or calls during the breakfast. I'd recommend to fix it.

Location was great! on a cute walking street full of cafes and restaurants on the way to a large mall. rooms and common areas are well-appointed. spa and pool area was small but comfortable and clean.

The mattresses were not the most comfortable, but perhaps this was because we requested twin beds.

The staff are polite and helpful, but when I came there was no one outside to help me with the luggage. However, when I left the hotel the staff were ready and helped me with the luggage. The amenities are good. The hotel location is wonderful and directly linked to a very fancy mall called Armada. Transportation is available all the time. The room view is fantastic as I was on the 9th floor, and you can see modern buildings around you.

The cleaning of the room should be more supervised. On my first day, I was available, and I monitored the cleaning, but for the second day, I was away and so the cleaning was not good. Also, hotel staff should recommend famous tourist sites for their visitors. Overall, my experience was very goid and I definitely recommend the hotel
