We loved our stay in this hotel. We felt relaxed from the moment we got there. Being surrounded by palm trees and greenery gives it a very unique feel. The staff were very friendly and helpful - the mezze style breakfasts were great and the kitchen were happy to whip up anything else you might want. The menu was not huge but always well prepared and tasty and available any time of day. We stayed in the main house and had a large, tastefully decorated room with balcony overlooking the pool - and all of the newer bungalow rooms we were shown had the same quality. There are plenty of areas to relax around the pools with day beds, loungers and poolside bars. If you like wildlife there are a few friendly family pets - dogs, cats and an assortment of chickens to keep you company! A few minutes walk down a river takes you to a pebble beach in a large cove with views across the clear waters to surrounding islands. It was just warm enough to swim in April. Gocek town is a 5 minute taxi ride away with a good selection of bars and restaurants. We only did this a couple of times as we liked being at the hotel so much.

I was hoping to do some walking around the area but as its quite isolated there wasn't many options. This isn't really a criticism of the hotel but be prepared to get taxis or bus if you want to go exploring. Hire cars were cheap from the airport for the week when we went, but in the end I'm glad we didn't as we may have felt obliged to use them rather than relax at the Layla.

It is hard to describe a perfect place like this. Even before our arrival, we felt welcomed and well informed. The place itself is not the highly polished tourist trap, it is a garden of warmth and wellbeing. The breakfast is plenty and local. Snacks, cocktails and dinner are just as amazing -- we never felt the need to eat out. Your room is being cleaned without you noticing, the peacocks are quite funny when they walk through the area. All the staff are great to talk to and the owner is a really funny and pleasant guy. All in all ... a clear recommendation! We will be back

The owners told us, they are going to add heating to one of the pools and better internet connection (maybe some mesh wifi instead of 3 different SSIDs too) - which will fix everything one might complain about. Everything else was just perfect!

We had a wonderful stay at Layla Göcek this summer! It exceeded our expectations by miles thanks to the great staff and service. We would like to thank in particular Nuh, Gazi & Fatih for their kind service and their company during our stay. Expect an oasis of calm and zen during your stay with 2 pools, each with their own plus: one has a pool-bar with great cocktails, the other is open 24 hours and great for a night swim! An extra note goes to the chef! The food is sooo delicious we thought we were dining at a star restaurant, and so it became: we were lucky to experience the opening night of their restaurant DOA, which has some great dishes that are made with ingredients from local farmers and fishermen. Chef Kursat was so kind to come and introduce himself to us, where we learned that he was the chef at a Marriot hotel in the US where he worked together with other Italian chefs, which made sense why the pasta's were so delicious! We could tell so much more, but suggest you go and experience it yourself. Lovely atmosphere and lovely guests made this a trip to remember for us, and we'll be definitely going back!

The only negative remark that we can give really is the boring music. We get that people are there for a relaxing holiday, but the music is like torture after 3 days :) Suggestion to the playlist owner: a bit of minimal techno or even some bossa nova inspired playlists will give a more pleasant vibe.

Pleasure for eyes and ears, all the details are carefully adding one to another. Quiet, beautiful and relaxing place. A piece of luxury nature in a natural green environment. Perfect breakfast with lots of fresh cheese, fruits and vegetables, good restaurant option as well, served by a very welcoming personnel. Very nice and helpful hostess Tatyana. Clean and quiet sea in 5 minutes walking. Taxi to Gocek costs about 300 liras as of July'24, it takes about 10 min to get there if you want to dine or do something outside. Quite unique and well maintained place. We liked it and would like to come back.

Beach is natural and does not look as a pretty beach- it is a mix of grey pebbles and dark grey sand. As it is a public beach, people might leave some small garbage here and there. In the morning still, it looked quite clean and pieceful. I did not see any other hotel guests there, only local families.

Loved Layla Gocek! Beautiful & peaceful, the hotel has been designed so well and is visually stunning - similar to Bali or Costa Rica. Everyone who works there is amazing, they're all so kind and friendly with excellent service. It's a small hotel so you often have it all to yourself, and there are two fabulous pools to choose from, plus a short walk to the beach. It's a boho vibe and all the plants and greenery are beautiful. Special shout out too to And, Ege and Mustafa who made our stay so fun.

I really liked the animals at the property but if you are scared of birds, this isn't the place for you. There are peacocks, roosters and hens roaming freely (they're cute).

We loved the environment and the set-up. Was absolutely gorgeous. I personally did not like the dogs and cats going into the restaurant cos I have a allergy issues, so maybe this awareness needs to be considered. The staff was fantastic, attentive, polite and very helpful. Special mention to Giza and Noah who had amazing peoples' skills and were able to make the guests feel special and very comfortable. They both gave attention to detail, which is very important in the service industry. Thanks for a fabulous experience at the Layla:))

I did not like the cats and the dogs allowed in the restaurant. Also, we noticed that there were not many Turkish dishes offered on the menu. It would be great if there were more of the Tuekish cuisine.

The hotel is beautifully designed and offers a very relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are modern and well furnished. Our room had massive wood furniture which was impressive. The staff was very helpful and accomodating to support my partner, who suffers from extreme fear of dogs. They also prepared for us an early breakfast on the last day, on which we were leaving before the usual breakfast time.

Although the property description on Booking states that the hotel is pet friendly, it may be helpful to mention explicitely that the property owns two dogs, which play freely in the garden. This may not be suited for everyone.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights - a short holiday to relax between flights. The hotel has everything for a comfortable stay. The hotel is located in a forest area, close to the beach. Approximately 7-10 minutes on foot. I was very pleased with the amazing aroma of pine and eucalyptus. Originally decorated rooms and common areas of the hotel. Excellent breakfasts and a fairly extensive a la carte menu for lunch and dinner. The staff is very responsive, I rate them 10 stars, they are always ready to help with all questions. 10 minutes by taxi the city of Gocek with all the infrastructure. 25 minutes by taxi from and to the airport. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to Dalaman airport and wanted the beach within walking distance. And we were pleased with the choice. Suitable for those who want relaxation and a quiet holiday in a beautiful place.

We arrived at the very start of the season and a few things were being finessed, including drainage of waste water, there was a smell of sewerage for a while (only affecting the bathroom). This absolutely wouldn’t put me off staying again! The wait for a drink in the evening was occasionally longer than desired, but new staff were being trained, so understandably there were some teething issues.

We had an exceptional experience. Nestled in the heart of nature, this hotel offers a serene and picturesque environment. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary breakfast, a thoughtful gesture that set the tone for our stay. The receptionist was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcomed from the start. We took advantage of the hotel’s free bike rental and enjoyed a scenic ride to the beach. The lunch provided by the hotel was absolutely delicious, with every detail from the plates to the decoration meticulously curated. The views from the hotel are breathtaking, and the overall ambiance is both charming and relaxing. We highly recommend Hotel Layla Göcek for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in nature with top-notch hospitality.

Our only regret is that we booked only one night.
