After travelling through the former Ottoman land for five weeks, staying at hotel Grand Ani was our last accommodation in Turkey. We could not have concluded trip through this country better. Very friendly and helpful staff, spacious and clean room and a car park where our motorbikes were safely parked. Both dinner and breakfast were a welcome change from the national dishes like kebab, doner, pita and their many variations. The hotel is in the higher price category, but we found it well worth it.

It’s a nice modern hotel. The staff are lovely. We had a huge room. They have an underground garage but we found parking right in front of the hotel both nights. We visited the lobby bar as well as ate in the restaurant one night. Food was good. The breakfast buffet was huge. Easy walk to several restaurants and shopping.

They have a spa and pool but the hours for men and women are separate/alternate so my husband and I couldn’t go at the same time so it didn’t work out for our schedule.

Hotel provides nice rooms with a lot of amenities, kettle and a fridge. There is swimming pool and also SPA upon request. Private underground parking is definitely a plus. Staff is helpful and friendly. Workers at reception speak good english. They even offered us tea and a small pastry during check-in. Position is quiet and good, few steps from the area with shops and restaurants. Real phon in the bathroom is rare to find, but here there is. Breakfast is very good: sweet, salty and exceptional fruits

Bed and room are a bit small. There was no light on a side of the bed. Bathroom is nice but there is not much space for legs when sitting on the toilet. Elevator is quite small if you have big luggage.

The staff are amazing, doiong everything for the comfort of the guests . The hotel is sparkling clean .Absolutely spotless .And location wise it’s great having walking access to almost everything you need in Kars .

We had a double room but our mattress was two single mattresses combined. The breakfast . Although the selection is very good due to the small number of guesys it didn’t feel fresh . İ recommend a smaller selection of goods in smaller portions but more fresh .

The staff at the reception welcomed with smiles and a hot tea, which after twenty hours of train is always great. The restaurant wasn't very alive, but all in all it's a good place to stay in Kars before going on to Tbilisi or to visit Ani (the bus going to the ruins is very close to the hotel)

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Upon our arrival, we were immediately offered tea and coffee. They also helped us carry our luggage from the underground garage to our room. The SPA is included in the room price. Breakfast was fine. The hotel is located very close to the main street in town.

Very nice Turkish style breakfast with expected quality and variety. Spa access was included to the room price. Thank you for that. Very good parking opportunity in a parking hall. Even though staff had problems to speak English (what I would expect in this level place), they were very friendly and trying hard. It would be 10 with better English skills, now 9,5 (only) :)

Issues with wifi registration (system didn't work) but a young lady and gentleman in reception sorted out the problem manually.

This hotel dont have free cancellation. I made full payment to make reservation. But they said I didn’t receive the payment and made me pay again. I showed them the confirmation from booking.com but they insisted me to make the payment. I made many phonecalls and wasted a lot of time to solve the problem. They spoiled my vacation. I was ashamed next to my girlfriend while I was trying to explain the situation at the reception. The worst reception stuff I have ever seen. I asked them 3 times just to call a taxi for me.

The staff, rooms and facilities are all excellent.

The only issue (and that is why I did not give it a 10 rating) is the elevator. It got stuck a couple of times and is rather small. Not good for someone claustrophobic. Probably a little upgrade here needs to be considered.

Only issue was the spa and pool were not available due to segregation, it was “men’s” day. Disappointing, but I know this is Türkiye. I suggest the times be notified when booking.
