Solo 71-year-old traveler in Room 302. Most importantly, the staff & management. The staff is always inquiring if there is anything that they can assist with. The otel mgr. Mr. Harun is a wealth of local travel knowledge, & will assist you in all your local & continuing travel/transport needs. The shower pressure in my room was absolutely fantastic with hot water. An abundance of towels. If you want the linens changed, just ask; not automatic. The outdoor temp was mild, so no need for a/c; I just left my bedroom window open. Location great: smack right in the middle of the bazaar with everything you need just a stone’s throw away. Room has a mini-fridge: great for keeping fruits & bevs chilled. All this for a great price: as we say in America, “A great bang for your buck.” And the breakfast was adequate; a typical Turkish buffet, even tho I don’t eat a big breakfast. It worked for me. But you’re right near historical “Breakfast Street” if that’s your thing. And the elevator is a plus, even tho I walked down the stairs all the time.

No chair in the room if one wants to write on the table. And the room lighting was a bit dim in the evening; no issue during the day as great sunlight.

The manager of the hotel and the whole team were super friendly, helpful, and hospitable. They made sure to help as much as they could. I think this place gave services just like a 5 star hotel. Clean, cozy, cute. There is a gorgeous British short hair cat that made my stay much more enjoyable. Breakfast was good too. My honest opinion to people who are looking for reviews: this place won’t disappoint you! You will love it! Safe and clean! Got more than basics for a 3 star hotel! Great location too!

Not about the hotel but I think the city for most part doesn’t have the air conditioning or cooling systems except for the malls. I could have rented a fan for my stay but the weather was good and didn’t bother me at all. Again, for a 3 star hotel, I was surprised because comparing to many 5 star hotels there, they did fantastic!

Location is good. Breakfast is included in the room rate. The hotel is clean and warm. The hotel owner and staffs speak English. The hotel owner helped me with my preferred and private day trip. There is fluffy fat cute cat at the Reception 😺😻 but she is playing hard to get. She does not let me touch her or hold her.

WiFi could be better and faster for digital nomads. I could not work in my room because the connection was on and off the whole time. I had to come down to the lobby to work. However I got disconnected 3-4 times. It was impossible to open Power BI shared files and I couldn't finish my work

I wery happy and lucky choise and stayed in toprak otel realy is wery clean room and shower but for me important things was menager harun speak wery good english and he invited me for tea we drink tea together and he gived me information for abaut historical and natural places and next he help me and showed me all places in one day we wisit Akdamar island Hoşap castle and many another places it was great day for me thanks menager harun for all you help me and all staff they are wery helpfull breakfast is good wifi is fast and hotel is wery central highly l recomend

Best stay in turkey Because of iran israil war ı back from iran to turkey van city and ı stayed in Van toprak hotel they help me for all ı need they found me flight ticket normaly was like imposible found ticket they arrange taxi and another many thıngs ı feel like in my home and wery important they speak wery well english and farsi language if you need any help go speak with menager he will help you for all you need thanx toprak hotel

Convenient location, easy to take public transport up different locations in town and to the bus station. Friendly manager; he can organize a trip in the area if there are more tourists around. I had a large room which was nice and comfy. A central street with many restaurants and cafes nearby.

The non-refundable policy for the hotel booking. I later had to cancel one night due to flight change and it was only partially possible; the hotel accepted but the booking was still never changed, so I had to pay the charges / taxes for the room.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel in Istanbul. From the beginning, the staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. The whole place was exceptionally clean and well-organized, with a cozy atmosphere that made me feel truly at home. Every detail showed care and hospitality. It wasn’t just a place to sleep — it felt like home. If I come back to Istanbul, I’ll definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

The hotel is on a side street, just far away enough from the main street that it isn't too noisy. We were there in winter, and I was thankful that the heating system was working very well. Breakfast was decent, and the staff worked hard to get the food out (many tourists from Iran the weekend we stayed). Harun, the owner, was extremely helpful and friendly, he can arrange whatever tour you are looking for. There is a ton to see in the region by taking day trips. Free tea on the first floor. I would definitely stay here again.

the location is perfect. the rooms were clean and big. helpful staffs. the breakfast is good engouh.

no air conditioner! no heating or cooling system. (at least I didn't see anythig.) no parking nearby. (crowded and old part of city)
