The rooms were large with thoughtful furnishings and comfortable beds. Ours had balconies overlooking Lake Victoria which was beautiful. Surj and Danyne were very welcoming and knowledgeable and we enjoyed chatting to them. Their staff served us diligently and we felt very safe and well looked after. There is a beautiful garden and pool and a good choice of food- we recommend the banana peanut butter milkshake! It's also a short walk to Jinja high street and the lake front.

The location was exactly what had hoped for: a stone’s throw from Jinja, on the Nile, absolutely private, quiet and surrounded by lovely flowers, trees and birds. There was a pool which was kept clean and had both sun and shade. The outside dining allows glimpses of the Nile and is: outside. Perfect.

We are still acclimating to a warmer climate so the room got a little warm at night even with a ceiling fan. A floor fan may help?

Had a lovely chilled time here. Such a beautiful garden with lovely flowers and plants. My room was great and the balcony has a nice view of the Nile and loads of cool birds flying around. The staff and owners were all super friendly and helpful. Thank you!

The breakfast was great; individual servings, not buffet. The food was delicious- they specialize in pizza but also had other options. The swimming pool was lovely, the grounds beautiful, nice view of Lake Victoria.

The room was spacious especially the bathroom. The staff are great and responsive, serving with humility and a smile. The room had hot water all the time and that was a plus for me.

The wash room was ok but the plombing had a problem of flow, the shower was poor , no products, and water flow was poor. Old equipment. The restaurant carte could be updated or have a bit more of choices.

Food was fresh and tasty, bed clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and supportive. The recreational facilities are just a walk away

The entrance area and car park needs a bit of tidying and sprucing. Does not give a very good impression of the entire facility which is very good.

Surjio's is in a lovely corner of Jinja, overlooking Lake Victoria, with beautiful old style comfortable rooms and a pretty garden. The staff are very helpful and it is peaceful. It also offers the best pizzas in town. Oh, and there is a decent sized swimming pool.

Breakfast is not wonderful. Cheap bread, tiny bits of butter and cheap coffee. Also anything fried always came with rather disconcerting amounts of black bits as though the pans hadn't been properly cleaned. In a land of fabulous fruit its kind of weird there is no fresh juice. It's a shame as everything else about Surjio's is great.

The view on the source of the Nile was nice from the upper balcony, rooms are quite big and the bed was comfy. Garden looked nice and well maintained. Location is great with most of the activities at 15/20min of driving. The restaurant had plenty of options for lunch and dinner, "Italian Sausage" pizza was delicious! Wifi with decent speed was available in room for most of the time. Staff is friendly & usually there to help. Peaceful environment even with the close proximity of parking area. The swimming pools is available for property's guests. Overall, it is a beautiful and quiet place, excellent for couples and energy recharging.

Breakfast was fair but repetitive, service was rather slow. If there were more than three tables occupied at the moment, you could easily expect up to 50min for the full meal. It could be a bit frustrating for time planners. Rooms are not cleaned by default, you need to leave the key at reception and specify your wish. Warm water was there but it would come after almost 5min of steady water stream, including both shower and bath tub.
