New workout equipment was a good surprise. We have stayed here before, and the efforts being made to upgrade the facility are good. Also had a great meal at the Applebees on the property. Breakfast egg things were wonderful. Just pleasant surprise after pleasant surprise on my stay.

Bathtub in the rooms. I HATE them. They should all be removed for safety. I'm only 50, but when I am over 60, I will never stay at a hotel that has a shower/bathtub combo. So unsafe. I cannot stress this enough. I know it is expensive to change out, but you should start changing out some and offering them. Do a few every month. No one needs to take a bath on a trip, well, very few do. The floor of the tub is not even flat, so it is uneven. I am in good shape and agile, but my parents are not, and so many Americas are not.

I arrived late, and there’s an Applebee’s inside the property. It was convenient to take the elevator to the lobby, walk into the Applebee’s and collect my dinner. It looked like the property had an extensive refresh recently. My guest room looked nearly brand new.

It’s a large property, so be prepared to walk a little bit to get to the amenities. It wasn’t that I disliked that aspect of it - just a bit unprepared since I’d never been there before.

The location was perfect, right off the Interstate. Appleby’s was located in the hotel building, and we liked not having to go out to eat. A breakfast offering many good options was included in the stay. Our king room was large, quiet, clean, and comfortable. The new carpet was nice. The staff was pleasant enough.

It looks like they are still in the process of renovating, but we were not affected by any of it. Some of the hallway we walked through was being painted. No big deal.

Friendly welcome. They are remodeling! Good sign to keep on top of hospitality. Im spite of location close to I-80, it was quiet and even group.of athlets had great respect for other customers at breakfazt buffet.

Appleby's Bar and Grill staff are overworked! They lack servers, etc. Had to wait for 40 minutes to be seated even though restaurant was half empty. I guess the pandemic ruined the service industry. Waiters and hostess were extremeky friendly but certsinly stretched to the limit.

The cleaners are doing a good job, even tho the property is sprawling and quite dated. The room was nice and cool when we arrived on a hot June evening. We found the bed to be very comfortable (not always the case). Breakfast options were pretty typical and the workers were proactive.

There was a slight smoke smell in our room but it didn’t keep us from sleeping.

Location great. Breakfast was great. Wide selection. I do not do fat and there were fat free options. I like that. I am allergic to pets and the staff made certain I was placed in a non pet friendly room. They paid attention and noted my request in advance. I like that too, because I get so allergic that my breathing is affected adversely by pet dander. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was comfortable. Wifi good. No outside noise made for a good night sleep before we hit the road early the next morning.

Can't really think of anything. This older motel is well kept and very clean.

The hotel seems to have been recently remodeled. Although the remodel was modest, the hotel was clean and comfortable and the location was perfect, especially for overnight travelers. Particularly helpful to tired travelers was the fact that the hotel has an Applebees inside that closes late at night, so you don’t have to drive anywhere for food.

I loved how friendly the two desk ladies were when I walked in looking like a lost little puppy. They made checking in super easy and fast. They also have full conversations about everyday things, not just stuff involving the hotel. I also loved my room with the jacuzzi tub, the bed was super soft and comfortable and not a lot of noise to bother you during your stay.

Wasn’t a big issue but parking was limited. I suggest taking a close spot if it is available.

This is very minor, but in the morning, we went to get coffee at the breakfast area, and the coffee maker was not working properly. there was an additional coffee maker in the lobby, and that one dispensed some pretty mediocre coffee. The staff at the check in desk seemed to think that the coffee makers were both state of the art and were a bit defensive about our complaints about the coffee. That was unexpected.

It was fine and suited our needs. I loved that it was dog friendly. The bed was very comfy but the pillows were small. It could use some updates ( carpet in the hallway). Shampoos were small. Most hotels now mount them in the shower. Coffee machine was GREAT!

I knew it was dog friendly but didn’t know I would be charged $20 fee ( which is fine I understand why) but would be nice to say that on the booking site.
