We had the most lovely getaway at the Birch Cabin. Was part of my birthday surprise for my girlfriend. We have both lives in AK for almost a year and have been dreaming of going to Talkeetna/Denali for a very long time. Didn’t disappoint and it was so great to have such a cute home base. The only thing I would change/recommend is some sort of cooking setup. I didn’t realize there wasn’t a stove in the cabin so we made due wish what we had. Even just a little plug in stovetop I think would be a good addition. Even still we loved it and would definitely recommend to anyone!

Cabin well separated from other few cabins. Cute cabin decor, mini kitchen, working screens indispensable as hungry mosquitos! Proximity to great cafe: flying squirrel bakery!

Inside lamp lighting could have been somewhat brighter as hard to read.

Excellent quiet and secluded location that was a short drive to Talkeetna! Excellent facilities and amenities. There was even a small loaf of banana bread awaiting us upon arrival!

Need blackout curtains for the summer - this was the only fault of the entire stay!

Appreciated the "extras" ,-i.e. banana bread, night light in bathroom - the thick towels, the decor, the amenities in the kitchen, the communication, and relative privacy. Great location to trails!

The futon couch wasn't comfortable for sitting, and there seemed to be a slight, almost mothball? smell. Not sure the bathroom heater worked (towel heater did!) but the immediate hot water, etc. maybe it unnecessary. Had to stretch to find anything. :)

1. The position is great! 2. The cabin has everything we need (kitchenware 、comfy sofa、heater) 3. Everything looks new and Alaska style,we really love it! It is the best accommodation during our Alaska trip!

Wifi was convenient, location was great, just outside of town and right down the street from a nice cross-country ski route called XYZ lakes. Flying Squirrel cafe also right down the road. Very delicious 😋. Well kept and clean with a very cozy bed.

it would have been a bonus to have a small gas bbq on the e deck to prepare dinner
