Breakfast was exceptional - cooked to order by competent and friendly staff person and far exceeded the type of a breakfast that is typically included with a motel stay. Numerous menu choices that were freshly prepared and the quality and quantity was top notch. The grounds were beautifully maintained and landscaped and the outdoor recreational area, although we didn’t utilize it, looked very inviting with a fire pit, outdoor bbq and comfortable seating area. I would definitely highly recommend this place to anyone planning a visit to Wilcox!

The key card system was unfortunately down the night we stayed and we had to have office staff let us in our room each time we left the property (which they happily did). I was told we would be receiving a refund on a portion of the cost of the room. I’m still awaiting that refund. Hopefully management will resolve this and thus make this review 100 out of 100 in my book!

This small hotel did not disappoint! The beds were comfy, the room was spotless, the parking lot was extremely clean (not a cigarette butt to be found!) and the friendly staff here seem to have pride of ownership. The free breakfast was awesome, and Maci the hotel dog was cute and as friendly as everyone else. Our small dog was welcome here and there were plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The town of Wilcox is friendly towards visitors, and you won't find a Trump sign to cloud the view. Do not hesitate to book your stay here!

There is no hot tub. Would be nice after a long day of hiking.

Was pleasantly surprised by how nice this hotel was. The rooms have been completed updated and remodeled. The king bed we had was excellent. We had a suite so we had two rooms - bedroom and bathroom was one room. The counter in the bathroom was quartz. Two 65" TVs - one in the bedroom and the other in the "sitting" room which had a small sofa, a table with chairs and a kitchen area with a frig, sink and a few dishes and glasses. The breakfast was cooked to order, which is nice because it's hot when you get it. We would definitely return.

We'd seen great reviews and we weren't disappointed. The room was very clean & comfortable, and had a good sized fridge & a microwave. There was a separate room for the ice machine, which also had a bathroom which came in handy when there was a queue for our loo! The staff were all very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was cooked fresh to order and was excellent. We'd recommend staying here and will certainly do so again if in the area.

Nothing...it was great!

The property was clean and looked safe. The bed was so comfortable and the room was very clean. I liked how they cook breakfast fresh and hot. I had to drive from California to South Carolina and this place was the best one I stayed for a night.

I came in around 11 pm that night. There was a dog that I thought was a stray on the property but since the dog showed no aggression I proceed to enter the check in area. The dog was families dog of the owners. I didn’t like that they allowed the dog to be in the dining area. I don’t believe pets should be in any dining area unless they have food in a corner close to exiting the space.

Staff, facilities, breakfast outstanding. We really, really liked it. Just had one issue. website did not reflect that there was a $30 up charge because we had our dog. The motel actually has its own lovely dog. I’d already books the room online, so I took a deep breath and paid the extra $30 for a one-nights get stay.

website absolutely did not indicate that there was an extra $30 charge on our single-night stay because we had a dog. it simply said “pet-friendly”. This is not “friendly”. I’d have booked elsewhere if I’d have realized it, but I had booked ahead. It felt a little bit bait-and-switch.

Nice little motel in a central location. The room was spacious and clean and had a microwave and a fridge with freezer tray. No coffee maker though. Bathroom was clean and water pressure was good. Breakfast was in a small room with outdoor patio. Choices were maybe less than with some other hotels but served fresh by a nice lady. Other staff was very helpful and friendly too.

Pretty close to the train tracks, so if you are a light sleeper, not even the comfortable beds will help you sleep through the night. Stairs to second floor are a bit small and might be a problem with large bags since there is no elevator.

The room was very clean, and decorated nicely. Beds were very comfortable as well. The staff was very friendly, and it was easy to get to from the freeway, and was also easy to get back on the freeway. Will be staying here again, as we have family in the area. We were very pleasantly surprised. Very close to some nice restaurants as well, that are within walking distance.

This small establishment is located in the Downtown Wilcox area and hence very convenient location to restaurants. The room I stayed in had fairly new furniture and seemed to have been updated recently.

There were no pictures or decorations on the walls in the room. I was assigned to a room that was adjacent to a construction site and seemed quite dark at night whenever I returned to my room.

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived late into the evening at Sun Set Inn and Suites. I am really picky especially when it comes to cleanliness of hotels. Our room was spotless. We had the two room suite. The room had a kitchen with the microwave and fridge with a few plates and bowls. The bed were so comfortable with plenty of pillows. We slept great. I am talking about 9 hours of sleep. The breakfast options were spectacular. They took our order and made us a hot fresh breakfast. We had eggs, bacon and pancakes. The bacon was some of the best bacon I have ever had. The staff was so friendly and attentive. If we are even in Wilcox again we will definitely be stopping by.
