Wonderful location within DVNP and a classy hotel with elegant lobby and seating areas inside and outside, beautifully maintained and lovely grounds with ponds and a stream, very nice stargazing patio next to room on 4th floor. Would definitely stay here again.
The most uncomfortable pillows in my entire trip- so large and inflexible that my neck hurt trying to use them. Single elevator out of service during first day of my stay. A bit of a walk from the parking lot through a tunnel and then up 3 flights to lobby area. It was sometimes difficult to find parking spots- needed to go to adjacent gravel lot. OK, I know it is in the middle of a NP and there is no competition but the food prices at the Inn and the co-owned Ranch seemed incredibly high- I wound up eating at the Ranch buffet one night and buying sandwiches in the shop the second night.

Accommodations and staff were exceptional. Restaurants had very good food and service.
No markings for parking or registration. Google map did not take us directly to hotel. We had to hunt for it in the dark. Considering the location, the cost was understandable. Scotty's Castle was closed. There is nothing in Death Valley for us. We will not return.

The grounds were absolutely gorgeous. The pond the walking path, all of it was so relaxing. The amenities were awesome, we hung out by the pool for a bit. But the staff was another level of hospitality. We arrived a couple hours before check in time and they had something available early so got us all set. The bellman brought us to our casita with the golf cart and helped us bring our stuff in. On check out, the manager, Joe I think was his name, helped us get all of our stuff and bring us back to our car. The customer service was outstanding.
I felt the room amenities weren't totally worth the cost that we paid. For the rate, I would have expected a tub or more complete kitchenette, a more luxurious experience. We will definitely be staying here again, but I don't think I would get a casita again. A regular room on the terrace will be just fine for next time.

We really thought the hotel was so pretty. The garden was pleasant and we enjoyed the outdoor fire pits. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We didn’t have a view at all but that didn’t matter because we weren’t in the room much. The bed was very comfortable.
The restaurant (dining room at the inn) was really bad. I made a reservation for both nights we were there. I was actually okay with the prices being high because I thought the quality and taste would be great as it’s been for us at other high end National park lodges. My husband ordered the halibut which he took 2 bites of and said it wasn’t edible (not fresh, no flavor other than fishy). I ordered short ribs and only half of it was edible (the other half almost hard as a rock). I would have marked it up to a bad one time thing but talked to a guest the next day that had different food that was bad as well. Needless to say I cancelled my dining reservation for the second night. Great hotel -bad food.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Inn in November. The weather was perfect - 40s in the morning and at night and 70 during the day. We were a family of four and stayed at their Casita. The room was roomy and cozy, with a golf cart. The staff was all very nice and offered good service including the dining. They gave the guests free water bottles, which was very important. Though the dining had a low rating, we found it pretty good - the meals were not cheap, but it was acceptable given the location. The hotel was in the center of many interesting sightseeing spots, and we fully enjoyed easy hiking, nice driving, and star gazing. We would love to stay at the Inn again.
We recommend writing down the directions before the trip. The area doesn't have a good cell phone data connection and unless you have the satellite GPS, you completely lose the GPS.

The location is perfect. An oasis within the desert. Old grand hotel style from 1927 well preserved and updated to todays standards. Unique and impressing. Star gazing at night possible on roof top. Pool area sourced by natural well. This hotel is worth a stop and even an extra trip if you want to enjoy a nice overnight in the middle of the Death Valley while not missing high standards. This hotel is above average and a true gem.
Some but not all of the service staff were not very friendly. Especially the lady at the pool bar was very unfriendly after showing up from her break. I preferred ordering food at the lounge bar and bring it down to the pool. Restaurant operation is slow and not good organized. A big plus for the very good lady of the lounge bar service and the older waiter in the restaurant. It is sad that the overall very good experience at this hotel is pulled down by just 1-2 person in the service that missed their job (or they do not like it?).

Under Death Valley's extreme climate, this is a one of a kind type of hotel. The oasis garden is simply surreal in its lavish beauty. A lifetime experience. The pool area is also outstanding, with amazing water temperature issuing from natural springs, although high-end delicatessen and cocktails, besides light snacks and canned drinks, could be added to the limited range of products on offer in the pool bar. The hotel's main bar itself does have a great selection of drinks, including tap beer from Iceland and world-class cocktails. You can have a great collective stargazing experience on the top floor at night. The room itself was comfortable, and the AC and fridge, which make a world of difference in Death Valley, worked flawlessly. Also, most of the staff was quite nice.
After reading the reviews, we opted out of having meals at the hotel, so we don't have any positive or negative comments on that. It is fair to add that had it not been for such reviews, we would have tried on-site breakfast and dinner.

It is an amazing oasis in the desert. There is not much choice in the Furnace Creek area, but The Inn at Death Valley is definitely a good one. There are several good places to sit in the lobby area and it good to be able to have a good breakfast.
The water in the swimming pool is bathtub temperature, so the pool doesn't cool you off. The choices of food at the cafe are very limited. It is a long walk from the parking, through a tunnel, to the elevator. The AC in the room wasn't nearly sufficient, but they gave us another room.

Good location between Yosemite and Las Vegas. The hotel is well appointed, and the swimming pool surpassed all our expectations. It was possibly the best outdoor pool I have seen at a hotel of this type it stays open until 11pm when there is a nice vibe. We stayed in a casita and were very happy with it. Very clean and comfortable. The golf carts to get around in the heat were an added bonus.
Fairly minor points - the complimentary coffee provided at the lobby in the morning was tasteless. And there wasn’t enough cutlery in the room - just 1 knife and fork for a family of 4.

The location is beautiful. The landscape is very well kept and the food, although expensive had very good quality (I had low expectations about it from prior reviews). They also provided us with a golf cart to move around. The room was clean and included everything we needed
The swimming pool was dirty and full of bugs. I removed 2 roaches after my daughters pointed it out. They should do a better job cleaning the pool at least twice/day. I was also surprised how a high end hotel like this had no service by the pool area. They only have a small cafe with very limited options.
