Very cute place. Furnishings were unique with great character. Loved the outdoor chairs on the deck where we could eat our breakfast. (we had brought our own). Appreciated the night light in the bathroom.

Their breakfast was quite minimal: plain bagels, hard boiled eggs, apples, yogurt and were squeezed into the lobby. Everyone was polite about it but a bit challenging as we had to take turns at the one toaster and Kurig machine. (note there was a small Kurig in our room too but we couldn’t figure out how to just make hot water with it). Using the Kurig and toaster at the same time seemed to flip the breaker on the power strip which slowed everything down further. Bed was a bit short in length which was fine for a mom and adult daughter under 5’ 6” but I suspect that tall folks would have had trouble.

We booked the Awhahnee house, which is not on the hotel property but a 20 min drive away. This was not clear on booking.com but it did not dissapoint at all. The house is massive, great views of a very big balcony and great location. I don't recommend arriving like we did, very late at night but we came from San Francisco so that was on us. Most of the bedrooms had ensuite bathrooms which were very clean. Would happily visit again!

Receiving some more instructions on how to enter the property would have been helpful. Because the gate was open it felt like we were trespassing at first.

A very quaint inn right on the main road to Yosemite (and a few miles to the entrance to the park). We got a lovely room next to the lower level parking - had a fantastic little patio in the back looking over the forest and a small stream. The room was decently sized, clean, and had all the necessities we needed. Parking was free and plentiful. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise (especially after an attempt to go to a decently reviewed one in Oakhurst, which was pretty bad) - very nice food with some flair, and good selection of beers (we went for dinner).

Beautiful view. There was a creek running behind our room. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall the stay was great and we will stay again.

Restaurant was not as good as our last visit. Limited menu options. No options for steak, salmon, fish, shrimp. Only one chicken option. No pork chop options and the asparagus was sad looking and very thin. I think the restaurant could use more options for a variety of dishes. Also, the rooms could use a microwave since we are charged an extra fee for electricity.

Very rustic and quiet. Not a lot of screaming unruly kids. Everyone who stays here seems to go to their room to sleep which is fine. They sell at the front desk pretty much anything you need in an emergency, but expect to pay a premium30% markup.

We stayed in two different rooms and both beds are soft. Don’t expect hard beds. Also one room we stayed in needed a good bleach scrubbbng to tiles at foot level. We tried to go to restaurant onsite and 3 people came by and said just a minute we will be with you. After waiting over half and hour we left.

Room is old but the balcony is great. Outdoor environment is super great. Staff in the reception area is friendly and helpful. The food in the onsite restaurant is great, and in particular the lady receptionist in the restaurant cares about the customers, and is very patient with kids. My kid loves this place.

The shower area in the bathroom is very small because of the old style design. The gentleman receptionist (not the lady receptionist) in the restaurant seemed tired and a bit inpatient when talking to us.

I recently stayed at a hotel near Yosemite Park and was thoroughly impressed. The location is excellent, surrounded by beautiful nature, offering a peaceful retreat. The hotel is rather old but has an authentic charm. The staff were hospitable and very helpful, ensuring a pleasant stay. The room was well-equipped with a coffee machine, a fridge, and a well-appointed bathroom.

• I had to carry suitcases up and down the stairs. • There was an old smell in the room. • The breakfast was quite basic and didn’t meet my expectations.

The place was close to the Yosemity park entrance, very handy if you couldn't book anything in the Yosemity valley. We didn't stay too much in the room as we were spending most of our time in Yosemity, but the bed was comfortable.

The airconditioning was quite noisy (but nothing earplugs couldn't solve). Also the breakfast was very basic and rationed (one bagle, one muffin, one egg per person). We were prepared and had additional food with us.

I booked this hotel because it was the cheapest option in the area that was pet friendly. I didn’t look at any of the photos online so I was so surprised when I arrived to this charming little place! It’s such a cute property and the room was adorable. There is a little patio in front of your unit where you can sip coffee and look at the view. The staff was so kind and accommodating, too. And it’s just 10 minutes from the Mariposa Grove welcome center!

The property is located in a beautiful area with fantastic views from most of the public rooms and bedrooms. It has a great balcony where we ate most of the time. A spacious lounge and utility room with a washer and tumble drier. Great bar and diner just down the road about 5 mins away. On a good road into Yosemite. Best done as a circular route. Great for a party of up to 6 but over the top for a couple.

It’s not at the Narrow Gauge Inn. It’s about 15-20 miles away on a completely different road. It is actually an air b&b owned by the people from the NGI. No tv reception but does have Netflix.
