Great location in the wilderness but 20min from oak flat road entrance to Yosemite park for the main valley. Lots of facilities at the site. Swimming pool is a great location and highly recommend the poolside barbecue which was good vale for adults. Lots and of different areas to relax in. Some staff very attentive, like getting our air con fixed quickly while we were at the pool.

It’s not cheap. But more there are a few things that make you feel a little exploited by the fact there is nowhere else to go… no prices on items in the general store, split plate charge and a box up charge at restaurant, considerable charges for rental of SUP etc. but there is enough to do that is free that this can be avoided. We had a cleaner who really wasn’t very polite.

Evergreen Lodge vastly exceeded expectations in every way. The grounds and facilities are spectacular. The staff without exception were friendly, helpful and always pleasant which went a long way to making our stay as good as it was. We made good use of the games, evening fires, restaurant and pool side BBQs. We can only hope to one day return to this incredible place. For us the location was perfect as it was remote in a magical setting but an hours drive (Hetch Hetchy very close by car) from incredible hikes through wonderful scenery. Thankyou to everyone who helped us during our stay.

That we had to leave after 5 days - seriously wanted to stay a few more weeks!

We got a free upgraded cabin and cocktail for my husbands 50th birthday celebrations which was a lovely touch from the team who are all really friendly. Location was only 45 mins to the valley floor and the burgers in the restaurant are great!! Outside heated pool and lots of activities to do on site after a day of exploring. Also close to Hetch Hetchy valley (less than 10 miles) which is definitely worth a visit

I liked it all but food options were a bit limited for dinner off peak because pool bar closed. Glad we took our own provisions to keep costs down but the onsite general store was well stocked.

We loved the facilities, particularly the restaurant where we had great food looking out over the forest. The room was a good size and the team lovely. We enjoyed being so close to the Hetch Hetchy Gate and 30 minutes from the Big Oak Flat entrance.

As with all Yosemite accommodation, the cost is higher than elsewhere for more basic accommodation (we had a vintage cabin so of course you can upgrade). Also it is family oriented, so lots of children eg in the pool which meant as an adult party we used those less. Also use lots of insect repellent, we did not use enough in the evening!

This is a truly beautiful place where all the different facilities are integrated into the accommodation and are part of an open space with no clear start or end to the property or wider park / area. We visited at an off peak time which made moving around and eating / drinking very easy although I understand things can get a lot busier. The staff are truly helpful, the quality of food and drinks really good. Even the pool area is beautiful and not like the retro-wannabe-posh that one often sees in similar places. The place is clearly designed for people to meet and mix and enjoy.

Not a huge surprise but although the entrance to the national park is 25 minutes away, the time to get to the start of the main hikes or the tunnel view is a solid hour of not always great road and no lights.

We had the family cabin with the queen and bunk beds. We have 2 tall teenage boys but the room was bigger than we thought and it also had a small room out the back which was great for luggage. The room had everything you'd need including games. It also had an outside sitting area both at the front and the back. The food was of a very high standard. It was helpful that for breakfast you could order 'kids' size portions as I don't eat a lot. Coffee in the room was also a great idea.

Nothing that we didn't like :).

The lodge was a great base for exploring Yosemite. There was heaps of stuff to do around the lodge for the kids that we didn't get time to fully try it all. Kids loved the games room, pool, Scavenger hunt and play areas and smores by the fire. General store had great food options for quick grab and go and some grocery items too.

Dining options were limited - only 1 menu across both dining venues felt a bit restricted. Special poolside BBQ was a great option otherwise food in Restaurant/tavern was great.

The staff and the facilities are what really sets this place apart. Our room was quite small, but clean and comfortable. There are so many facilities to explore: --lounge, rec room, pool (with a bar), tavern, lookout points-- that keep you from feeling trapped in a small room. The general store is open long hours and has everything you need. It was a pleasure to walk there and stroll the grounds with my morning coffee. The staff is what really sets it apart. They are so helpful and welcoming.

I'm nit picking here - the wine list in the tavern could be better - but I'm a total wine snob and the cocktails are great. I had to send back a tofu scramble that was inedible, but it was taken off the check without a problem and other meals at the tavern were delicious. Also, everything about the Evergreen is so pleasant and easy that the missteps don't take a toll on the overall experience.

The staff is friendly, especially Danny from the restaurant. He made our dining experiences extra special. Thanks Danny! The food is excellent. Very family-friendly with good playground and entertainment options for kids. Free S’mores every night was a hit.

Pool could’ve been a bit warmer, hot tub a bit cooler. The general store could’ve been a bit better stocked. Some popular items (big bottles of water, grab-n-go options) were quickly sold out on some days. Food options pricey but probably what we would expect in Yosemite. Food quality was good so we felt it was still worth it.

Good location to Yosemite Park. Stayed in a one bed cottage. Cottage location was fantastic. Complimentary guest services. Views for sunset amazing. Reception staff welcoming and very helpful.

Although room cleaning was complimentary, no basic cleaning was done, no replenished tea/coffee/towels/ bin emptying, cleaning each day. Staff in restaurant not pleasant on the two nights we used it. Price for food at a premium. Wedding which took over most of the lodges for two of the four nights stayed. The wedding day was noisy and didn’t give us the experience of staying at Evergreen that we expected. This was not something we expected when booking…… expensive stay to be kept awake until 3 in the morning.
