Shoshone is a cute little ghost town, maybe 45 min drive from Badwater Basin. There’s a saloon across the street for dinner, nice walking trails in town and the motel gets you access to the heated natural pool (except Mondays). By the pool, there’s a pupfish that lives only in a pond in Shoshone! Motel staff are both kind and efficient and there’s free light breakfast (bagels, fruit, yogurt) and some outdoor tables.
N/A - guests going to Death Valley should be aware staying in Shoshone adds some time to get in and out of the park, but it was worth it for me to get a better value stay and to see the neat ghost town.

Although a little bit more pricey, this Inn is worth the few extra bucks. Loved the historic architecture, the overall surrounding area and especially the natural pool/hot springs nearby which you're allowed to use as a guest. The rooms are beautiful, comfy and clean, maybe a little smaller (at least by American standards), but we didn't mind that at all. In the morning coffee and bagels with delicious jam were provided. Can also very much recommend the restaurant/bar directly across the street.

We stayed here on our way out of Death Valley. You really feel like you are in the middle of nowhere and then there is this hotel, a gas station with some food, and a restaurant. The restaurant across the street was closed when we were there which was unfortunate but about 7 miles away (on a straight easy road) was the most delicious BBQ I have ever had at Tecopa Brewing Company. That was one of the highlights of our whole trip. The motel had a pool a short drive or walk away that was thermal. A bit dated but fine. Bed was comfortable, heater kept us warm. Coffee and fridge in room.
The breakfast. It was a bit unclear how it worked. There were some bagels and cream cheese in the fridge and some bad coffee. There was only one toaster and a lot of people so we just gave up and left. Walls are thin but it is pretty quiet except when people come and go and wasn't a problem for us.

Thank you Ms……… and all the people in town ♥️🐍⛺️🦉🏞️🤠🫶🏼 have to try the crowbar and eat rattlesnake chili good stuff … hot springs is always a treat.. I forgot to get my shirt Shoshone I’ll be back for it soon …
This section shouldn’t be here .. if someone has nothing to say nice!! then don’t say anything at all !! We get it …learn from your mistakes… lovely people and town !!

Hands down, this is a hidden gem. I loved everything about it. Everything was close by. The natural warm spring pool was amazing. The owner was kind and had great hospitality. Clean and comfortable room, amazing comfortable bed. Great location.
We had room 28, and we were by the sewage part of the motel where a lot of black flies were but hardly noticeable. Didn't bother much, which is understandable why they were there. The room was very sealed off to keep them out. Other than that, I'm definitely coming again for a whole weekend, loved this place.

The room was very clean and modern. Good water pressure and temperature. Refrigerator in room. Heater was good considering it was quite cold outside. The warm springs pool was a nice touch, about a quarter mile walk from the hotel.
The walls were very thin, and I woke up listening to the conversation of the room next to us. They weren't even talking loudly, but I could understand every word.

I’m going to be honest. I’m a little torn about how to review. The facility itself is super nice. It’s been renovated and is very clean. However, I’m very upset with the communication from the Inn. One of the main roads to reach the hotel was closed. We had to detour over 2 HOURS to reach the hotel only for there to be no food because the restaurant was ALSO closed. Nearest food was 20 minutes away. Now - every other hotel on our trip messaged us multiple times for various reasons. This hotel could (and should) have messaged us ahead of time to let us know about road and restaurant closures and that basically the ENTIRE town was shut down. We could have made a decision to cancel or not. As it was, by the time we found out, it was too late, and no refunds would be given. Just super disappointed in the staff service and communication. 2/10
See above.

Charming little place. Nice rooms, quiet and set back, good little kitchenette, good facilities. Nice reception. Generous snacks and breakfast options in the reception to serve yourself.
Pool was a disappointment. The walk up a road next to the school was ok. The pool is shared with the RV park. It is very small and needs a good clean. It had algae in it and rather stagnant. No working chairs to sit on and very rudimentary changing facilities? No toilets. The fence around it is falling down. No restaurant or cafe nearby (under renovation), just a very basic shop for evening meal. Very nice man on deli counter though!

The place was nice and quiet. Felt safe and peacful. Room was nice, bed comfortable. It was a nice surprise to receive bagels, fruits and yogurts in the morning, even though breakfast was officially not included.
Parking spots are not great (quite limited, if most rooms are occupied). Considering there's not many places to grab something to eat, it would be better if there was a proper breakfast offered.

Not too far away form Death Valley National Park. Very clean rooms, free parking
Overall a good place to rest if you’re visiting Death Valley, although the price for the room is too high for what you get. (Price to Room ratio should be changed!) Also note that you’re unable to leave your luggage there before or after your stay since they apparently have no one to look after it.
