This is a hidden gem. One of the best hotels we've stayed at. The shower is the most luxurious shower I've ever used. It's plenty big enough for 2 adults. The staff are amazing! The hot complimentary hot chocolate is divine!

There are VERY minor flaws to the room. Like I said, very minor. Did not detract from the experience. The baseboards need to be repainted/replaced, and there were a couple dead flies on the curtains. But other than that. This hotel is amazing and I would go out of my way to stay here again.

The hotel was beautiful. We loved how they maintained the old fashioned charm with modern and beautiful updates. The kitchen was fully stocked which allowed us treat our stay more like a vacation rental. All the beds were extremely comfortable, the rooms were clean, and they staff were exceptionally kind and easy to work with. Only minutes from downtown Lava Hot Springs which made its an excellent location as well.

What a beautiful building with a lot of history!!! The bed was cozy, shower great, and over all excellent. Oh and the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner and lotions all smelled great! The coffee machine made delicious cappuccinos so that was a nice touch! The staff was so friendly and even gave me a little story about the place and the rehab. Absolutely amazing what they did with this historic gem. Loved it!

I would have loved breakfast included as well. Would have been lovely! But overall, loved it here!

Beautiful old building remodeled into this unique hotel. Wonderful windows and light fixtures in the rooms, great shower and comfortable beds. A fancy Italian coffee and hot drink machine in the lobby for delicious, complementary drinks.

My elderly mother would have appreciated an elevator to get to our room on the second floor rather than having to take the stairs. The windowsills in the room had a handful of small, harmless bugs, some dead, some alive, and had not been cleaned.

Property was very clean and comfortable with large rooms. We had one of their “smaller” rooms which was still large.

It was a shame that the hotel didn’t provide the usual breakfast buffet that most US hotels provide; although we did know that when we booked. The property is located near the railway and so you may need earplugs if you go to bed early although the trains seemed to stop about 10.00pm until about 7.00am in the morning.

Room. It is gorgeous! The best room we had so far and we are traveling through the USA and staying in various places for weeks now. The bathroom is larger than some rooms we had in other places. The rainfall in shower is extra perk. Bed is as good as we have in home. Air conditioning is perfect. The network is fast and stable. The hotel is an unexpected gem on the road to Yellowstone or Salt Lake City.

There is a microwave in the room, but there are no utensils, not even a cup to make our own coffee. There is an available coffee machine in the lobby, but the lack of containers to heat stuff was limiting the microwave use in the room. We would love a coffee machine in such an otherwise perfect place. Nespresso would be awesome! The other thing I missed was a work desk - it would be great to have a better chair and separate desk to do some work on the computer.

The suite we stayed at was really comfortable and tidy. The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated. Awesome beds. The owner was polite and welcomed us outside of designated check-in hours. I enjoyed chai latte from the machine in the lobby.

There is limited shopping in the town. Bring your groceries if you want a good breakfast - the suites have fully equipped kitchen which makes self- catering easy.

BEAUTIFUL restored old bank. Phenomenal job! It's basically a stunning 2 BR apt with kitchen and family room. Great to relax/ eat with enough space for us to spread out.

We didn't mind this, and actually kinda appreciated being away from the hustle and bustle. But if you are going, you should know your about a10-15 minute drive to the hot springs. You're not in that busy hot springs strip.

The Harkness has the magic of an old historic inn with the comfort and convenience of modernity. And the lobby has a great full menu automated batista machine.

The TV in the room is connected only to a satellite carrier. No smart/ app capability for personalized use.

The Hotel has been restored with great care! The workmanship and attention to detail was worth the trip. The staff and town were friendly, and kind. The hot springs were well maintained and relaxing.

The only area for improvement was we assumed the room we booked online was what we saw in the picture. We ended up paying more to be able to get the room. The overall stay was enjoyable. The Thai food and Rosie cafe were exceptional! The hotel is interesting and the details made it worth the trip. The staff are wonderful . So clean !!!!
