The room was clean and looked like a log cabin inside.

The property is nice for the right people. We are not bed and breakfast type people, especially in a private setting. We stayed here because this sounded like that something different we were looking for. This listing was a bit misleading as it presents this as some kind of retreat with a waterfall. It is a private residence in a neighborhood with a finished detached garage with two units. The listing shows a view of the river, and we could not see any of that from the property. My wife was uncomfortable and actually slept in her blue jeans and definitely did not shower in the morning. Everything was very clean, but just not somewhere we would have stayed if it was properly described. Again, this is nice, but just outside of our comfort zone.

It was cozy and perfect to stay with my kids. We visited lots of places nearby - Spook Cave, the Wetlands Center, Villa Louis, the scenic overlook. We loved seeing the hummingbirds on the property, as well as the koi fish in their pond. We even saw a deer for a moment in the back yard!

The cleaning product in the carpet had a strong smell. I appreciate that it was cleaned thoroughly but it was pretty overpowering and I had to let the room air out for quite a while before it felt comfortable again.

It was so nice to stay in a house in a street instead of a commercial hotel. So quiet and peaceful, the yard is beautifully landscaped. We stayed in the garden “shed” and the hosts were so kind to give us some extra crockery and glasses to enable us to enjoy a picnic dinner on our porch enjoying the yard with indeed trickling water! My husband really enjoyed the recliner to watch the tennis

We stayed in the King Suite room (Pine Lodge) which was beautifully decorated like a fishing cabin. Bed was very comfortable. It is located in a quite neighborhood and the property is wonderfully decorated with flowers and hanging lights. Unfortunately it rained the evenings we stayed so we could not take advantage of the nice fire pit area. Others had commented on the trains but with the air conditioner and ceiling fan going at night, we did not hear them, so do not let that scare you off. I would totally stay here again if we get back to the area. Randy was very helpful in suggesting his favorite options for restaurant's and bars and great places to visit.

There are several stairs to get to the rooms, so if you have any issues with stairs, this is probably not the location for you. But if a few stairs do not bother you, this place is a great place to stay.

Wasn't sure what to expect as we had never been in the area before. Upon arrival there was a personalized letter for us giving details. We had the pleasure of meeting the landscaper which turned out to be the owner. He was very helpful with all of our questions and gave us great options of places to eat which were wonderful. The cabin itself was very mystic walking to. Very neatly put together. The inside was very clean and comfortable. It was perfect for what we were looking for. We were able to make use of the jacuzzi as well and watch the stars. The temp was set perfect and everything is well lit up at night. Just don't get distracted by the coi pond like my wife and miss the stairs lol. All in all this is a 5 star stay. The owner is amazing and we loved the property. We were on the motorcycle so there was plenty of parking.

Wish we could have stayed longer but had to get back to the work week. Everything was great!

Quiet and peaceful. Very friendly owner / manager who was very kind and welcoming but not intrusive. Best sleep quality we’ve had on our two week trip.

They allow smoking outside and sometimes the smoke wafted in our windows. Allowing smoking may be a positive for others but for us we didn’t like smelling the cigarette smoke from the patio below us.

Bed was comfortable. Plenty of towels. Nice shower head. Private and quiet. Recliners were nice. Large TV. Room to move around. Pretty grounds.

Should be a light at the corner of the driveway, to avoid any trip hazards at night. A full length mirror would be nice.

The garden view was incredible, especially at night with the lights. There’s a hot tub, it’s close to the casino, shops, and hiking but off the beaten path. Room was nice, bed was comfortable, with coffee pot, microwave and mini fridge, plus a balcony. Would highly recommend!

This property was beautiful! It was exceptionally clean, comfortable and the grounds were remarkable!

The only thing about this property was the streets getting to it. We’re very narrow with pulling a boat, but this is nothing. The property owner could do anything about it. We will definitely be back if we stay in that area.!

There were no meals included in this stay. It was very quiet and private and had its own kitchen. We bought our own food and went out for a few meals.
