Good location, great value, room had all amenities I expected, except . . .

The room initially assigned, #29, had functioning AC on the first night, but I couldn't get it working on 2nd night. To their credit, when I brought this to management's attention, they switched me to another room with functioning AC, so I was able to eventually get a good night's sleep.

Location was next to Dorothy’s House/Land of Oz. It’s cute. The rooms are just right. The managers are sooooo nice, friendly & warm. Of this specific road trip of which I stayed at several motels, the beds and pillows were the most comfortable. Honestly the beds are wonderful, very high quality. TV/cable worked great. Also the nighttime outside lighting was real good, very secure.

I really liked the property. We had trouble turning on A/C, but once we figured it out, it worked fine.

Clean room. Comfortable bed. We were just looking for a place to get a good night's sleep on a long two day journey.

Internet signal was poor and I kept getting disconnected. I ended up using my phone's hotspot to check my email.

The room was extremely clean. Beds were very comfortable. The staff was friendly. We don't stay in luxury hotels when we travel but we do want our motels to be clean and the beds to be comfortable. The price was right and we were not disappointed. Check out the sweet little tribute to Dorothy of The Wizard of Oz which is right in back of this location.

Great, personable staff. Rooms a little outdated, but very clean. Matresses were new and extremely comfortable. Slept like a log, which was just what I needed to gear up for a second long day of driving :)

Staff was friendly and kind, room was very clean and pretty spacious, bed was comfortable. The proprietor gave us a coupon for Pancake House across the street, which was yummy!

We have stayed multiple times at the South Wind Inn. It is an excellent value, location is good, room is always clean, and the beds comfortable. It has been the perfect pit stop as we travel.

We were on a road trip to Connecticut and needed a place to stay. We checked in super late and checked out super early but the manager was great. Both times he was friendly and welcoming. It is an older hotel but it was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. That is a bonus for me. The price was great too especially because we were only there for 7 hours.

Older motel but clean. This room was spacious with 2 queens and decent since bathroom. Best bed I've slept in so far. 1st floor parking right outside my door. Best value imho.

Only the weather outside. It was freezing and I forgot to prepare for the icing.

The staff were very nice and went out of their way to greet us and upon leaving actually chased me down to my truck to thank me for staying with them. The owner shook my hand and wished me and my family "happy holidays and good fortune." I've stayed in hundreds of hotels over the years and never have I been treated as respectfully as these owners did.

The hotel is a jump back in time...but the owners take pride in what they have and the cleanliness of the room was appreciated. The beds were very comfortable, we couldn't hear our neighbors and the shower was nice and hot with plenty of pressure. We stayed 2 nights and our room was clean and fresh towels were provided after each return. My only issue was parking..I travel with a large truck and long trailer and had to park in a different parking lot which was close...I only mention this for those who travel as I do, so that you know you need to consider that the parking lot is not designed for trucks and trailers.
