The Outpost is perfectly located within walking distance to all the attractions in Grand Rivers. The General Market Cottage is very cool. It is equipped with remote controlled A/C & Heat, TV, Coffee Maker, Mini-Fridge, Full Size Shower!!! with plenty of towel holders and area for luggage. Traveling by motorcycle and being caught by the rain prior to arriving. We were able to pull our motorcycles right up to the cottage and unload our gear. Once inside, we were able to hang and layout our gear to dry. Take a good shower with plenty of water pressure from a shower head placed high enough to spray down onto us rather than having to crouch down as we have experienced in other cottages. Then, hang out on the front porch with a beverage enjoying the sound of the rain pattering on metal roof. Once the rain let up, we visited the Tap House Between The Lakes and met an awesome bartender that offered all kinds of info on the area. Throughout our over 4,000 mile motorcycle trip, we encountered a lot of shortcomings at places we visited to include negative attitudes and poor service. Shortages in staff and products across the board is the obvious cause. The Outpost and The Tap House Between the Lakes were positive, engaged in welcoming visitors, made us feel at home and followed up with us during our stay. Our stay could have been longer.

Everything you need is here in a compact space without being crowded. I really liked all of the hooks in the bathroom, and the mattress was comfortable. It was a little warm when we arrived, but the air conditioner worked splendidly! So thankful for that, and there was a ceiling fan above the bed. Thanks for the book of things to do in the area and the 2 coffee pods.

It would have been nice to have a bigger trash can. The bathroom trash can was small, and bath soap was not provided, only shampoo, conditioner, and a tiny hand soap. I suspect this may have been an oversight, but thankfully, I had some body wash. The trash ran at around 6:40 on a Friday morning. The dumpsters banging around was rather loud for about 5 minutes or so, so keep that in mind if you're there on a Friday morning and are a light sleeper.

Didnt see anyone but the check in process was easy. The parking was a little skewed, there was an event nearby and all spots were taken but after that cleared it was fine. Really enjoyed the space.

Limited parking initially. A fireplace was advertised and I paid more for that but there was no fireplace, It is basically a tiny building with an electric heater that can plug in and has the imitation fire light. I definitely would not have paid more for that had i known.

Walking distance from most things. You could rent a golf cart if you wanted or drive. The bed was comfortable, and I loved the hot tub and the set down space available outside. We enjoyed the drive to go see the bison and elk and the short walks around the town.

Wish there was a table and chair available inside but still one of our favorite spots to visit.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!! I can’t think of anything negative to say! I am actually planning another stay already! Location was PERFECT!!!! There are so many things to do, places to see and eat… AND all within a short drive and even walking distance!!! Ashton was AMAZING!!!! She was SO friendly and helpful, with suggestions of places to eat and things to do….a perfect concierge!!!! She is definitely an AWESOME young lady…an asset to the property!!!! The cabin was so clean and the decor was perfect to the period they were going for! we stayed in the Blacksmith. I LOVED the electric fireplace!!!! I can’t wait to go back when we can have a fire in the fire pit and enjoy the night. I’m even hoping to take my family back and rent 3 cabins!!!

There was nothing I can say I didn’t like.

Our cabin had a hot tub and a gas grill. The bathroom had a large walk in shower with a rain shower head. The cabin was walking distance to everything. We rented a golf cart for a day. It was a fun way to explore the area.

The hot tub cover was hard to get on and off. The hot tub needs a rail by the steps for safely.

It was a great little place to stay. We stayed in the Jail. Nice and clean. Walking distance from the shops and restaurants in town but set back enough to be private. Would recommend.

My only critique would be maybe some blackout shades for the morning.

Cute and unique. Liked the individual hot tub even though we didn't get to use it. LOVED the resident cat. Liked front porch and fire pit.

Bathroom rug was not clean. Wall plug near bed not working and caused my phone to not charge for travel. No Kleenex. Shower floor not clean. Toilet bowl brush FILTHY. TV small.

We liked just about everything about the place. The firepit out front was fun. Golf cart rental with them was easy and cost effective. We also liked not having a key to carry for the room.

Ants on the Counter, Light switch for the Hot Tub area not working had to screw in n out the bulb for light, and the Hot Tub lid was damaged and hard to put back on.

Cute little cabins made from portable buildings. The interior was cute, bed was comfortable, showers had lots of pressure with plenty of hot water, new AC, coffee maker and ice cold small fridge. To be sure, these aren't plush, but for a visit in Grand Rivers, for the money, they are perfect as they are clean, private, comfortable, close to everything and ll you need. Nice touch with his/hers bath robes!

Hot tub was dirty and unusable.
