I really enjoyed my stay that I wish I could've stayed longer. The king bed room that we got was small but it was all we needed for the 2 of us. It didn't have an outside window (but did have a privacy windows into the hall with blinds so we did get sunlight) so there was no air conditioner under a window on the wall. BUT they did supply with a portable conditioner. It took quite a while to cool the room down but once it did we just left it running while we were gone and when we came back it was perfect temp. Unfortunately we didn't get to use the pool and hot tub because it was just the 2 of us with our dog and she didn't like being alone. Which talking about that, this is a great place to bring your fur baby. Idk the restrictions on size and breed but the price of $25/night was perfect! I've gone places where they surprise you when you get there with a $125/ night fee! They did have grass places outside each door so you don't have to go far. Parking was no issue and every grass place had a nice well taken care of picnic table. I also saw a grill there that I believe it is for the guests to use. And don't get me started on the breakfast! Not only was it great but it stayed open until 11!👌No where stays open that late but it's nice for us that sleep in because I was able to still get my coffee. Staff was very friendly as well. Especially the guy that was working at 10p. He was kind, respectful, helpful, and efficient! Nothing to complain about, also the room we were in was nicely renovated. The tub looked brand new and their furniture was in great shape. The housekeeper also did an amazing job tidying up out room. She went above and beyond. *don't forget to tip every day they give you service* wish I could take this hotel everywhere I go!

Nothing comes to mind other then the Dove conditioner they provided was too small for someone like me with thick hair. I wish they had better shampoo too! Thankfully I always bring mine from home.

Breakfast was so-so. I got sick after eating the egg omelet. That was all I ate. I tried drinking some of the juice, it was watered down, not drinkable. The person who checked us in was wonderful. The gal who checked me out in the a.m. was not very pleasant. Otherwise, the room was very nice.

This is a great hotel for the middle-class traveler, rooms always available on short notice, free breakfast with decent coffee. We always stay here when visiting family in Alpena. It has large, safe surrounding property to exercise dogs that also provides privacy. Located in shopping center with Home Depot, Walmart, McDonald s, Harbor Freight, Gas Station and more. It is not located on water, but about 1/4 mile from trail around nature preserve. The rooms are quiet.

This is not a luxury hotel with crystal chandeliers, ball room and tuxedos. This is a place frequented by cost conscious families, retirees, construction workers and truckers. It does not have on-site restaurant or bar, but that is my preference for safety, quiet, and privacy. There are near by restaurants and bars (walking distance).

The room was spacious with comfortable bed, comfortable bedding (sheets, etc.), as well as very soft and absorbent towels. Mini refrigerator was plugged in and very cold. Many hotels often have unplugged, warm frig. Room was clean. Noise was very minimal. Very good internet service. Breakfast was very good.

The furniture was sparce and old. It looked cheap to begin with and the contact paper was coming off. No couch or chair to relax in front of the smaller screen TV.

The price was the reason we picked this place.

The bathroom fan was so loud you didn't want to turn on the fan. The bathroom faucet was leaking when off. The tv remote wouldn't work until they came in to reset the tv. In the morning it had the same problem. The breakfast didn't have many protein choices. Not much for celiacs.

Not too many complaints.

There were a ton of loud kids in the after 10 on Friday and Saturday. At one point Friday night someone brought a puppy into the pool area. Very annoying. Also heat register in room 154 squeaks when you put it at a certain temperature.

The front office agent was very friendly and efficient. I needed to stay another night but they were sold out due to the recent ice storm. She called another hotel and found me a room. I also liked that the hotel is within walking distance of the Applebees.

Easy to get in and out of property.

Housekeeping was hit and miss. One day they would fix the bed but leave the trash. The next day they would take the trash but leave the beds unmade. While checking out there was a sign stating “If you stay two nights or more, they would only change the towels and pick up trash. Not making beds and not cleaning the room is nonsense. If you’re not going to provide standard services, then lower your prices to reflect that.

Everything was as expected, room was clean & comfortable, cable, well there's room for improvement guide/provider I found very confusing. Location worked well for us with our travel in northern lower. 7 of 10👍

Breakfast, 2 stars. Really left a bit to be desired. At the end of the day I was there for the night, not for breakfast so yes I would stay again.

For a disability accessible room, I didn't expect a bathtub I couldn't get into and the bed was so high I could hardly sit on it, much less get onto it! But the staff was Very helpful in coming up with a "step" solution. So it worked out!
