Love the spacious rooms and comfortable beds! The hot tub is amazing even though it needs the right side jets fixed. But having a hot soak after a day of physical work feels great.

I really wish you could find some quality staff for the bar/grill ( Sneakers). If the prices were a little more competitive, more people would visit. The menu needs a revamp and a GOOD chef. Even if you started serving Indian/Middle Eastern fare. Alpena needs more variety in their restaurants. A marketing professional would do wonders for the hotel as well. Even though you are the least expensive hotel in town, it is not well publicized. A full hotel at a lower price makes more revenue than an empty hotel at a higher price.

This location is a bit away from downtown but we prefer to be away from traffic. It’s on the main road so only took a few minutes to get there. It was closer to the parks that we wanted to go to. It had the biggest breakfast area we’ve ever had, it was nice not to be crowded into a small room. The bed and pillows were very comfortable for us. The bathroom had a nice big counter and good lighting. We must have been upgraded from the basic king room that I booked because we were pleasantly surprised to have a sofa in the room, thanks for that! The staff was very helpful when we were able to arrive a day early in arranging us to stay in the same room for both reservations. There’s a sports bar/grille on site which was convenient one night when we didn’t feel like going far, food was good, staff there was great!

There was nothing we didn’t like.

My room was clean and well maintained. The bed and pillows are super comfortable. I love using the hot tub after a hard day at work.

Coffee not available or wasn't made in the afternoon. With all the construction workers staying at the hotel it would be nice if breakfast items such as muffins, danishes, fruit, etc. were available earlier (5:00 - 5:30am). The prices of the restaurant/bar food are ridiculous. It is WAY cheaper to run to a store to get beverages. And the service is horrible! I have had to wait 20 minutes to get a beer and at least 25 - 40 minutes everytime I ordered food there.

There were quite a few things I loved. First off the day we checked in I got a morning phone call because I screwed up the booking. I got 1 bed for 3 adults (1 single and 1 couple). Eeek. That would have been bad lol. But it thankfully was caught by the staff! We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The pool are was very clean. I don’t have kids but it was very cool to see a small indoor playground and a few other activities. Our room was average and clean. The beds were very comfortable. I haven’t been to a hotel with beds that comfortable in a while. All the staffs were kind and pleasant.

You can definitely tell they have done some renovations to this hotel, This is our third visit here. Our second visit was not good but our first was so we decided to give the Ramada another chance. I'm really glad we did the pool was amazing and clean as well as the hot tub, perfect temperatures for both, We had a great time! The whole pool area as we'll as the play area and arcade and breakfast areas were extremely clean!! The added jungle gym was a nice bonus too! Great addition for the kids, My daughter had a blast! Our room was very clean and comfortable as well, we brought our dog and and requested if it was possible to have a room by the pool not really expecting it because we know there are specific rooms for pets and not only was our room right across from where you enter the pool area but also right near the gym which my husband always uses when vacationing that was also very clean! Staff was very welcoming and kind especially the young man with long hair who kept the coffee in the lobby fresh and each time he saw us he was kind and asked if we needed anything or how we were doing, there was also another young man who saw our key card was taking a bit too long to open the door and immediately fixed the issue and we didn't have any more issues, My apologies for not remembering their names. We will definitely stay here again and we appreciate the updates, cleanliness and staff!

There wasn't anything I didn't like.

Breakfast was good. The scrambled eggs were cool. But I understand that the breakfast area was just going through a remodel and needed to find its center.

The two rooms we had were both mobility accessible. However the one that was zero clearance had too small of a bed. I understand that the extra large bath area meant a smaller bedroom, but I think a queen would better fit the need. The other room was mobility accessible but not to the same extent. Smaller bath with tub instead of zero clearance, and the bed was a king with pull-out sofa. Between the two rooms we made it work. But had we booked one of the rooms, we would have liked to have a part of each. All in all, we had a good stay.

I did not like having to go up and down stairs also my room description said pool side and it was not, we booked for 3 nights and on our last day our key cards did not work had to go to front desk also on Saturday morning they ran out of milk at 7:30 am and had no milk on Sunday morning all while still setting out the cereal despite the fact that there was no milk, I mean to avoid negative reviews someone could have just ran to the store for some damn milk!

The rooms were spacious, the staff we encountered were friendly. Everything was clean and the breakfast was perfect. We did not use all of the amenities, unfortunately we were not there long enough to enjoy all of those things. I did use the check in and check out on my phone which was a huge plus. The Dove soaps and lotions were a huge plus.

The only issue was our toilet seat was not secured tightly. so every time I sat down, I had to adjust the seat so I wasn't sitting right on the toilet. There were no washcloths in the bathroom either.

The pool and hot tub area was very nice. Room was very clean and comfortable.

Access to our room corridor was through an outdoor entrance and the keypad wasn't working. Had to walk around the entire building to ask for assistance. The maintenance staff fixed the issue very quickly but the front desk rep wasn't very friendly and seemed like we were bothering her.

Nice clean room, arcade was fun, price was decent, easy location to get to. Easy to get through building, and the available snacks to purchase is a nice convenience.

The tub itself could use an update. The breakfast was good, but the eggs were a 1/2 hour late and some things like muffins, fruit, juice and yogurt were not refilled very often.
