Nancy at reception the night we checked in was wonderful and welcoming. The cleaning staff the next morning were also very nice and the towels/wash clothes bright white and soft.

The smell of vinegar (I’m assuming they used for cleaning, also might be why the hotel appears to be rather dirty & dingy) and the front desk clerk the morning we checked out. Our keys stopped working before check out, so when I went to get my mom coffee and returned to the room I wasn’t able to gain access. My mom wears hearing aids so she couldn’t hear to let me in unless I was to bang on the door loud enough to wake all the guests. I returned to front desk and explained my key no longer worked, the clerked rolled her eyes and said “they programmed it wrong”, all she needed to do was a quick apology and reprogram it. Her gossiping (what she was doing when I approached) was more important I guess.

I liked the hospitality and kindness from the staff as well as the service. Since I have family in Ava, the location was perfect. Next year, we will be here for the family Reunion, and we will be staying at Wyndham's Super 8 motel.

There wasn't anything I didn't like. If I would have found something I didn't like, the staff would have fixed the situation.

It was okay if there was another motel I would have probably stayed in it.

Need to have better breakfast. Water was not hot. Not a big selection. And no juice.

Staff was friendly and ask if we needed anything in our room since they weren’t allowed to enter during our stay, which we found unusual.

Location, value and staff.

There are some facilities maintenance items that need to be addressed due to age and usage of the building. The bathroom had a poorly repaired wall section next to the tub and a faucet handle that was worn out.

Great location. Easy check-in. Everything worked.

A/C is noisy, as it is in all competitors. I turn it on when I get there to cool the room, then turn it off when I am ready to go to sleep. At this time of year, the room stays cool enough all night.

everything was fine except the ac was turned off and it took almost a day to cool off and when it did it was middle of night n=because i cranked it up and then it was freezing and i liked everything but with no pool and a small cereal and yoast breakfast it was a bit over priced.but all staff was fine

Staff quite accommodating and friendly.

The lighting in the room is poor unless you turn on every lamp. Exhaust fan in bathroom noisy.

everything… All of the staff were more than personable and very very helpful… One of the cleaning ladies… And I did not get her name… But she was absolutely fabulous… Visited with us about some of our local questions and made sure we had the right amount of clean towels… Extremely personable and very helpful… Everyone from the front desk on was excellent.

what’s not to like about it… Everything was great…

Breakfast was grab and go and the selection was minimal but offered fulfilling items. The beds were very comfortable and clean.

The restrooms and the corners of rooms need some assistance including headboards. The breakfast worker did not speak to me at all until I spoke to her. No phone service really in this town
