The lodge is right off of US Highway 12 to the west of Lolo Pass. This is a beautiful drive; you are definitely up in the mountains and remote. The facility is very nice and is an eclectic mix of a beautiful log lodge and several smaller log cabin outbuildings. We were in unit number 10 which is a small double bed log cabin built in 1929 with an enclosed front porch and woodstove. There’s not a bathroom in the cabin, but there was one about 100 feet away, as well as a shower room. It was an absolute joy to experience the old log cabin, which was very clean and very nice, as well as being run out of the room by the warmth of the woodstove (just have to open the windows cool things down). Been a lot of years since we’ve had wood heat, and you forget how comfortable and enjoyable it is, especially out in the woods like this. There is no cell service at the cabins, but there is (limited) satellite Wi-Fi available for guests if you go into the lodge. There is a restaurant in the lodge, but also several large comfy couches near the fireplace where you can catch up on your electronic device, if necessary.

Breakfast in the lodge didn’t agree with me—-not sure what the problem was….

The charming cabin we stayed in was lovely, very romantic. But you need to read the information. There is electricity but no WIFI/ cellular service, airconditioning (we did have a fan) or running water in some of the cabins. The toilets and showers were very clean and well maintained. The lodge was a very inviting place for a meal, a drink at the bar or just hanging out. The evening fire behind the lodge was also great(they also have WIFI there)!

Although I appreciate the need to unplug from cell phones and wifi, I did need to have wifi access during our time at the cabin. It would have been nice to have it in the cabin instead of just the lodge.

this is a great location. The staff is always very friendly and work to meet your needs. The rustic cabin was well equipped with wood and other amenities.

I have stayed here two years in a row, almost on the same dates. The restaurant has been very "uneven". This trip, My first night the service and food was very good. I enjoyed and savored the whole experience. Night two was not just disappointing, it was inexcusable. The salad never arrived. The steak was 80% fat and gristle. The baked potato was so cold... butter, literally, would not melt in it. The waitress, not the same as the first night's, never checked in once the food was delivered. When asked about the missing salad her response was, "oh gosh." Not sorry, not apologetic, not how can I make that right? There were only two other couples in the whole place. It wasn't that she was too busy. The food was not her fault, but the service was.

An excellent and affordable option on a spur-of-the-moment trip to Montana! This property is much more affordable than many others in the area but you do not lose value for the lower price! The staff were very friendly, the rooms cozy and clean, and the breakfast delicious. There are great views out back (although it was hazy when I visited). There's also a coffee shop and museum onsite, but I didn't have a chance to visit them.

A little farther from Glacier National Park than other properties (but even with gas, it was still cheaper than everything else).

Beautiful location, friendly staff, and great food. I have been going to this area for years and always enjoyed it. That said, I have seen a noticeable improvement the last few years in terms of the food and details in the cabins. Better linens, towels, etc. Fabulous place to get away with family and friends!

You are in the forest so be prepared to deal with some bugs and the heat, depending on when you go. The lodge is a great place to cool off in the hot day.

Super cute and classic rustic cabin. No heat or water - but I knew that before. Shower/bathroom house was warm, clean and close. Wood burning stove made the room super warm and cozy. Decor and style perfect for style of cabin. Beds clean and comfortable. Staff at Lodge super friendly and helpful. Its not "elevated luxury" per se - but that's not what it is going for - or what I was looking for, so really for me, this was PERFECT and inexpensive. Had EVERYTHING I could want. I would absolutely return. Theres is also a small gas station at the Lodge, which I didnt need, but its an added bonus for anyone that does. The little shop there has all the basics you could need as well. Internet/Wifi didnt reach the cabin, but it was very nice to be disconnected. Wifi worked well in the bar of the Lodge, so if you needed it, you could sit in the bar with a nice drink and get work done.

It was beautiful and comfortable.

Just be prepared to be TOTALLY unplugged. There is no cell or internet service. They say that they have WiFi available in the main lodge, but it is spotty and I couldn't connect at all. I couldn't access any of my maps or saved websites for the things we wanted to do around the area. The staff were all young and not local, and could not answer any questions about the area. They had no paper maps. Had I known this beforehand, I would have printed off all of the info we needed prior to arriving.

The lodge grounds are beautiful and the cabin we stayed in was comfortable and romantic. We would definitely consider coming back for a long weekend getaway.

Breakfast in the restaurant could have been better. The eggs were overcooked and super salty. Also, the drive to the lodge from Missoula is very windy. I would not recommend driving to the lodge in the dark. It’s a beautiful drive during the day.

We loved the beautiful mountain location and rustic cabins! Very charming place with comfortable beds and an accommodating staff. We enjoyed the community fire pit for roasting marshmallows and visiting with fellow travelers. The food at the restaurant was spectacular!

We had to wait several times for the shared bathrooms to open up, although the staff did keep them very clean.

The place is beautiful and beds are comfortable. Perfect stop on the way to Montana.

I have stayed many times before and always had a great time. But this time we stayed at the quadruple room and I didn't know it had an outside bathroom. It was hard for my parents to walk there in the middle of the night. It should be stated clearly in the description of the room.
