Facility & grounds were great.

I thought for the price there should have been a breakfast included like in other hotels. We were really disappointed to learn that you no longer heat with the wood chips from the pallets. We also noticed that the hazelnut orchard is in need of cleaning out. There were scrub trees growing among the hazelnuts! Last time we had the option of not having the towels changed everyday. It seems like you are less interested in helping the environment now than you were several years ago when we stayed.

What a beautiful location! We were blessed with a view over the fields, woods and trails behind the lodge, and -bonus!- had French doors that opened onto the scene. We enjoyed sharing a pulled pork sandwich and cider at Porter's and fresh salads and drinks in the Library Lounge, and it was a real treat to have fresh hot coffee in the lobby and a quiet early morning cup by the fire before going out for a lovely autumn walk on the trails.

There was a big log column in the middle of our room, and my friend stubbed a toe in the middle of the night on that. That's all!

The rooms have nice aesthetics with the large wooden beams and doors that can be opened to the outside. The indoor pool is large with a separate baby pool and hot tub with water jets. The locker rooms are also very nice and clean. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Whenever we stay in Nebraska City, we like to stay at Lied Lodge because it is close to Arbor Farms with a lot of outdoor family activities.

I can't think of anything I didn't like.

Such a beautiful place! So relaxing and the pool is massive and they have a hot tub and sauna. It's very family friendly as well as a great getaway for couples. The rooms are very very clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend.

I booked a room with a "garden" view and ended up with a view of the parking lot but it didn't matter we enjoyed our stay very much.

Location, quiet surroundings, the animal life birds in the trees in the area. The walking paths were great also the added shops near by that were no pressure on sales. Maintenance of the property was the best i have seen for a property its age, it appeared nearly new.

The only weakness was no easy trailer parking without taking up multiple spaces or unhitching.

Wondeerful location. Located on a large, wooded property with numerous trails for walking. The property is on the Arbor Day Farm, owned by the Arbor Day Foundation. The on-site restaurant is a little pricy but the food was really excellent. The room was clean and quiet. Ony problem, the blanket on the king bed seemed like it wass queen sized. Didn't quite cover us both.

The property was outstanding inside and outside the lodge. As a nature lover I had a blast waking the 2.4 mile trail looking for deer and identifying track marks. There was also pleanty of sitting areas around the lodge with a fire where you can enjoy a drink. The wine tasting and cider did not disappoint! Only sad part is you cant purchase take home cider, but we did get a bottle of wine.

There was a dirty towel in our bathroom leftover from a previous guest. We ate at their restaurant and were accused of walking away without paying, but we hadn't moved at all. Kind of a strange thing to accuse us of simply because they couldn't see us from inside. Additionally, if you sit outside other patrons do sit outside and smoke so just be mindful you might inhale fumes while trying to enjoy a meal.

We didn’t do the paid breakfast. It was expensive before inflation.

They were kind enough to let us stay in the same room two nights. My daughter booked one night and I booked the other. We put our sign out for room cleaning and didn’t even get clean towels. Since Covid hotels seem to think that rooms can be ignored. At this price I would think you would give more service not less! If you have to reuse towels put up some extra towel racks!

The lobby is beautiful and we enjoyed the grounds and the lounge. The sleeping room was lovely with a gorgeous view.

Dinner in the restaurant was focused almost entirely on red meat dishes. There was only one vegan dish and no vegetarian entrees at all. The salads were fine however the side dishes were sometimes odd. We have stayed at the Lodge several times in the past and noticed there were not even any pasta options this time. I'm not sure we will eat at the Lodge again although we may stay there.

Beautiful setting and lodge. Everyone was warm and welcoming. We were able to order dessert from the restaurant and eat it out in the atrium with our own bottle of wine as we relaxed near a real wood-burning fireplace in the lodge’s grand atrium which is filled with plush groupings of chairs. The vibes were beautiful, cozy, homey, and yet grand all at once.
