What can I say... My boyfriend and I decided to take off on Friday night to head to Silver City. The room caught my eye and seemed to be as good a deal as any. I wanted to go rustic. Anyone can go to a Motel 6 or Holiday Inn. I wanted history and it didn't disappoint. The room was small & so was the bathroom, but the tub was deep & huge. So what. The continental breakfast was good and plentiful. The staff was great. I had a hiccup with my coffee maker. I took it to the front desk when I was heading out and they had my replacement when I got back - Brand New! The bed was wonderful. I usually take my own pillow but forgot. No worries - the pillows just added to my comfort. We really like the Murray Hotel & will definitely go back again!!

The only issue is the parking sucks. It's all street parking, so if they are busy, parking is a long walk

The location was a plus! The room was a little warm with no ac, some rooms have them some don't. Luckily, the desk clerk was able to supply us with a fan. The room was small but comfortable, beds very comfortable. Rooms were quiet, and I never heard other guests.

Parking, street parking only! You may or may not get a spot near the hotel. Continental breakfast was crazy! With it being a busy weekend, it didn't seem like they were very prepared. Breakfast foods ran short, and with only 1 coffee carafe guest standing around waiting for more coffee, the large seating area had very few tables/ chairs for such a large area.

This was my second visit at Murray Hotel, so I knew what to expect. This made my stay better than last time which was already excellent. Being a historical hotel from 1938, don't expect a resort environment. After a long day of driving I like that checking in was easy, the room cozy and comfortable with everything I need without looking around. Breakfast is provided but it is not readily known.

As my last review the parking is street parking next to a really high curb (there is a good reason why the curbs are so high, but you need to learn about the history of Silver City, and they provide a city history guide in your room. The other problem is because the bathrooms are small, it is hard to use the toilet flush handle. If they can get a different toilet tank configuration it will definitely make a difference.

The location and history of the Murray is a family favorite. The breakfast dining room is great to share a meal and catch up. The lobby also has comfy seating to gather everyone before heading out. The room seems to be updated from last year's stay. Nicely, decorated.

Unfortunately, our bathroom sink had a leaky fawcet that worsened during our stay, resulting in the sink water being shut off. Thankfully, it was our last night.

If you like to imagine what a quality hotel was like away from the big city during the 1930s this is the place. The atmosphere, many of the furnishings and conveniences of the 1930s has been nicely restored. The standard of the 21st century such as safety are blended in nicely. The room is comfortable and cozy. The staff is top rate. I arrived in the evening and the desk person was great and friendly. I felt welcomed,

My only complaint was the parking. You have to park on the street, Silver City being an old mining town , the curbs and pavements along the streets are very uneven, be careful how you walk, you can trip,

The property is beautiful, so well maintained. I just absolutely loved it. It was mine and my husband's 23rd anniversary and he took flowers to the hotel and staff was wonderful about getting them in the room before we got there. It was just perfect.

There is absolutely nothing I didn't like about the property. It's centrally located. You can walk to restaurants.

The whole Hotel and room were clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly. Great location downtown, easy walking distance to many restaurants, and coffee shops.

TV service was antenna only. When unwinding at night it was hard to find something to just "have on" that wasn't from the early 1900's.

The hotel is located in the centre of p very close to the museum of silver city.the staff, in particular Laure at Reception,were extremely helpful and professional . The breakfast is good, with a waffle machine,as well as bagles,6, cereals as well as fruit juices, coffee and hot water. The hotel's bedrooms are spacious and comfortable . Finally, there is a movie theatre a few minutes away.. I have no hesitation in staying again n at this delightful hotel that knows how to treat people .

Parking was a slight problem

Great location, nice rooms. Hotel staff were very helpful. Hotel decor is really fun old art deco - very nicely done.

Continental breakfast was a bit skimpy with no boiled eggs one day and no yogurt the next. But there are two good breakfast places nearby,

Beautiful property! The whole space is clean and comfortable. Excellent location to walk around downtown Silver City. Great to have a pet friendly hotel that is so lovely.

The air conditioning is window units - they work well but are awfully loud. If it wasn't unusually hot during our stay it wouldn't have been an issue.
