Location was good, E 27th and 5th Ave, away from the madness of Times Square. This is an older hotel, with the charm of a bygone era. The room was small but comfortable. Maid service was provided each day, which is getting to be the exception since Covid. The "grab and go" breakfast was actually quite good, though limited in selections. The staff was very cordial and accommodating.

I found it quite odd that they took a $300 "security" deposit. I was a tour operator specializing in student travel for over 30 years and even when traveling with students I had never experienced that at any other hotel. There was an extensive "minibar", which I always insisted be removed when I traveled with students , so maybe it was to cover that. The deposit is supposed to be refunded to my credit card. Today is Monday and we only checked out this past Thursday, so I am not surprised the refund has not been made yet.

Location, atmosphere, extra miles on minor amenities down to the nice paper towels in the basement bathroom.

Could add alil more to the “free breakfast”. Room garbage need to be bigger or more prominent. Free use mini fridge for guest meals/waters. Elevator priority settings need to be updated. Can be stuck on your level for 5-10 literal mins watching the elevator go up and down past you.

- rooms are quite small - furniture needs a little update - shower pressure a bit low but otherwise fine - wasn’t too loud except for 2 nights when fans from the neighboring building made a lot of noise - there was no real breakfast included, only a black coffee and a croissant to Горна Оряховица , was expecting normal breakfast and this was the reason to chose this hotel over another one close by 30% cheaper, very disappointing

The Evelyn is situated in a very good location to ensure you can navigate Manhattan fully. It’s great if you want to go north to central park and then south to the financial district for ground zero. The flat iron is literally just along from you so if you have been on a long yomp round Manhattan you can stop off at the shack next to it and get a nice beer or wine to quench your thirst. The staff (Amal, Keyanie & Arielle) are truly always friendly and cannot help you enough whenever you go to them. I thoroughly recommend the wine nights but they could either make them longer than an hour or just make it every night.

Room was a little small

Amazing location for a trip to New York. Very central easy walking distance to Empire State Building, plenty of subways stations nearby. Staff were superb offering us water each day, we asked was it possible for a late check out which they organised. Room was very clean and bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was reasonable, nice coffee and pastry which was great for us on the go each morning meaning we had the option to try plenty of brunch places the city has to offer. All in all we would happily stay here again if we were to come back to New York

WiFi and tv stopped working for 2 of the 7 days we were there. When talking to staff they explained it was a local area problem due to construction work so not the hotels fault, staff kept us updated in the afternoons when we returned from our day out in the city.

Lobby area and art deco styling. Our room was great, very comfortable bed. Communal areas all very clean. Decent gym. Reception staff always cheerful and helpful.

Resort fee is something we haven't come across before, not sure why it isn't just added in to the room rate for transparency. The grab and go breakfast offer is very limited and no price list in the cafe even if you wanted to buy additional items. We understand that the Tusk bar operates as a separate business but that could have been made clear as there was no priority given to hotel guests and it was very expensive. Wine hour is a nice touch but serving warm Chardonnay is a crime.

Great location and beautiful art deco property. Beds were really comfortable and we had a welcome pack of snacks and a branded gift bag- we had slippers and a robe in the room (I would suggest that it would be great to have 2 robes in the room available for couples staying but that is a really minor detail). Grab and go breakfast was great and tasty (it was on the small side but the menu and quality of food was great and we could always buy extra items if still hungry). Staff were really friendly and accommodating. There were some nice guest events (we had to opportunity to have a free wine tasting). Well located for visiting all major attractions. Nice hotel bar as well.

It could get really loud outside with construction works taking place in the early hours. The positives outweighed the negatives.

Beautiful hotel, stylish, comfortable, cosy and welcoming. The room was really nicely decorated and bed very comfy. Welcoming pack on arrival was so thoughtful. Just the whole vibe of the hotel was amazing, better than we imagined. Felt transported back to the 1920s and the hotel definitely had a quality feel. The breakfast was fantastic such high quality and perfect for a grab and go breakfast to get your day started. You can sit in if you wanted , wasn't busy when we went so always got a seat. Staff were so friendly and very welcoming . Would love to go back. Especially as the location is spot on! Walking distance to empire state building, shops, subway , restaurants. Felt very safe in the area and it was extremely clean

Absolutely nothing it was 100% perfect, the staff should feel very proud of the hotel and the way it is run !

Great welcome, amazing decor sympathetic to the age of the building. Room.was very nice, comfy bed and clean. Loved the bathroom and the toiletries smelled so nice. The free wine hour was such a good touch. The wine itself was exceedingly good. Added breakfast was also very much appreciated. The location was also perfect. Flat iron around the corner and the Empire state close too. We walked everywhere. Would definitely stay again and definitely recommend. Beautiful hotel in a great location.

Walls a little thin, could hear tv from room next door. Also a lot of single use plastic, maybe some more sustainable things? Eg i dont think the remote needed to be put in its own plastic cover.
