The location right on the Guadalupe River is unbeatable, perfect for floating and relaxing. The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed. Doc even helped us replace a float when one of ours had a hole. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the views were amazing. It felt like staying with family.

Honestly, nothing major comes to mind. Everything we needed was provided, and the experience exceeded expectations.

So well thought out and clean! The rooms are floor throughs so you have a door to access on each side - out the back you overlook the river! Mini fridge and freezer, microwave, keurig and sink outside the bathroom… room to hang clothes, suitcase rack and a little counter along that wall for sitting to eat. Pretty sure we were in a deluxe room. The common area out back with tables, chairs, grills has lots of room and lots of options for everyone. My daughter loved the swings and slide! It was nice also to have a pool. Everything was so clean and comfortable! Love that the AC has a continuous fan option so it’s not turning on and off all night. We figured it out night two and it made for a much better sleep! We ate at red river tavern Friday night. It was busy before the concert at the amphitheater which is walkable from the restaurant. Wildflower cafe for breakfast DELICIOUS- get there early and red dam barn for dinner. All were great. We also had our own tubes and decided to get on the river paying $20 to park at the red dam barn. There were some shallow spots we had to walk and we had kayak paddles so we def used them to move faster. It was a 4 hour float. Without the paddles probably 6 hours? But it was pretty cool to end our float at the motel and home! Some areas were nice and deep and good for swimming. The water was cold! But awesome on a hot Texas day.

You could hear a bit of noise from the road at night. ( I am sound sensitive) but with the continuous fan on low night 2 it was no issue.

We made this reservation while we were on the way to Canyon Lake. The innkeeper was very welcoming and friendly. The entrance to the rooms are from the outside, but we felt very safe. The room was clean, cleaner than most of the 4-star hotels I’ve stayed in. Even the windows are spotless. The staff checked up on us to make sure all our needs are met. The views from the back are amazing! Will stay here again.

Nothing against the property, but more of a preferential thing. I like sleeping on firm mattress and the mattress was too soft for me. Also, if you plan on doing work, the wifi is on the weak side. Again, I wouldn’t count this as a con since most people come to this area to relax and I honestly wasn’t expecting the wifi to be strong given the location.

So glad we stayed here! I was looking for lodging that was walking distance to Whitewater Ampitheater which was highly recommended and this was the place. Our back door opened to the extended patio overlooking the Guadalupe River. What a great place to be!

It's obvious the owners Wendy and Doc put a lot of love into their lodge. The grounds are manicured leading up to the bank of the Guadalupe river. Our room was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again.

That we couldn't extended our stay.

We love everything, the Owner was so kind all the time and the room was clean, we love the decoration in the room and looks and smell as a cabin, like wood. The view is fantastic, suuper relaxing, my kids play a lot in the swings and played by the river in front our room. Definitely we will come back.

Just the pillows don't are comfortable but the owner promised that next time she will give us soft ones.

Loved the location, the wonderful staff, and the patio facing the river. I loved they had fire pits at the lower level to use. We sat out at night watching the fire and talking.

It was clean but hair in the keurig so we didn't use it to make coffee. Hairs in the tub. It wasn't a big deal but we would prefer no hair.

Nothing I didn’t like except for the weekend going too fast.
