Absolutely beautiful and large room. Impressive indoor pool. Our best breakfast in Vietnam with multiple options. Gorgeous honeymoon chocolate pudding on arrival. Welcoming and friendly staff throughout.

There isn’t much to do around the area especially for restaurants. However we stayed here for day trip to the caves.

The hotel is beautiful and our room was fantastic. It really feels like a 5 star hotel so did not disappoint in that respect. The view from our room was amazing and we slept really well. The staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast is amazing with many things to choose from and a lovely environment in which to enjoy it.

Our main issue with the hotel was the restaurant and bar. We couldn't find any restaurant that we wanted to eat in nearby on our first night so we decided to try the hotel restaurant. Unfortunately there was a function on so the restaurant and Garbo bar were not open to us and we were advised to try room service. That was disappointing. On our second night, we decided to try the Garbo bar again but it was again closed. I think for a hotel of that quality, the bar at least should always be open - there is another that doubles up a a Starbucks in the lobby, but it's not a particularly welcoming set up.

The bed was a dream. Firm and supportive pillows, weighted blanket, and soft sheets. The staff went above and beyond to help make my birthday weekend special. They even helped my boyfriend arrange a cake from a nearby shop. The breakfast was absolutely amazing! A full spread of pastries, fruit, and lunch items. It included omelette and pho stations, and freshly griddled pancakes and waffles. And to top it off, the hotel offers 24-hour room service. Having the flexibility to order a late night snack proved invaluable to our stay. We were so happy we decided to stay out of Phòng Nha and in Dong Hoi instead. The hour long trip to see the caves was well worth our stay at this luxurious hotel.

Rooms are big and comfortable. Good value for money. Very good breakfast, with a lot of fresh choices. Good swimming pool. Great location, surrounded by many cafes and restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff especially Yen Pham, Suong and Ngoc at reception/front desk. Yen in particular was amazing! Her customer service was EXCELLENT!! We had an issue with our Vietnam Airlines tickets. Yen went above and beyond to help us. She called Vietnam Airlines and helped resolve our issue. This was greatly appreciated. Thank you, Yen! Thank you, again to Yen Pham, Suong and Ngoc at reception/front desk. You are all great assets to the hotel. We highly recommend this hotel!

The receptionist Dung is amazing and so is the reception manager. We got sick in Phong Nha and arrived at the Melia hotel unwell. Dung accompanied us to the hospital the next day as he speaks fluent English and was our translator. He was a literal lifesaver for me and my 8 year old daughter. And he even came back to the hospital In his own time outside of his shift to translate to help me get discharged from the hospital. At the hotel The beds are so comfy they are the best in Vietnam and the breakfast was amazing! We didn’t swim in the pool but we took a look and it was so beautiful and clean and was inside but views over the city. We would stay here again as a base to visit phong nha caves. Thank you to the hotel staff you are all amazing! I cannot thank Dung enough and I hope the hotel recognises how he went above and beyond for us.

Dong Hoi, Hue- Melia Vinpearl. Our stay couldn’t be better exclusively to the hotel staff, especially to Nhan (front office supervisor). We were traveling from Hanoi to Dong Hoi by an overnight train and booked a trip at 8:00 am right upon arrival. Our train was delayed due to a road accident, and we were not sure if we manage to take the trip. They organized super quick transfer to the hotel, the check in took seconds, they even packed our breakfast to take away. We enjoyed the trip and came back to our luxurious room. We were leaving the next day and accidentally left a purse with money and documents in the hotel safe. Nhan contacted us soon after we left, organised the delivery to our next hotel in Hue (also Melia). She was updating us on the status delivery, so we were motivated to even worried. We got it back on the same day with all our documents and the money! The reception staff in Melia Hue were also extremely helpful. We can’t appreciate their help more! Moreover, our room in Hue was upgraded for free and we enjoyed our stay incredibly (they have a great swimming pool with the city view and a lovely rooftop bar). We want to express our gratitude to the both Melia hotels for making our experience unforgettable and evidencing the best service. We highly recommend both hotels, they are 10 out of 10. Located right next to the market and coffee shop. Very comfy room and nice indoor swimming pool. It would definitely be at the top end of hotels

We arrived early as we didn't have a choice on flights. We were aware we would have to wait as they have a 14:00 checkout. Not their fault, but a little update occasionally goes a long way. The beachside seafood restaurants are more up the other end of town, but a $2.00 grab will get you anywhere in Dong Hoi. The hotel is very luxurious and would be nice for a few nights stay for sure

Beautifully presented hotel , redemption area very grand , rooms roomy and really comfy beds and a fantastic gym and indoor swimming pool area and spa ! The staff excellent and attentive . Hotel afternoon tea amazing with a lovely coffee shop and restaurant - who serve the best burger ! The area is not touristy offering great access to rural Vietnam , paradise caves and the north south rail line . The town it’s self is beautiful and still feels untouched with some great historical sites to see and lovely river and sea views

There is nothing not to like

Amazing room (very large and good quality) for the price (out of season). Beautiful interior pool to make laps, great breakfast, but the spa was the highlight. Beautiful spa area, great masseur, and very low prices compared to other 5 stars hotel in Ho Chi Ming or Hanoi. worth to go if only to rest in the middle of a long tour of Vietnam between North and South. If we know, we would have stayed 3 days instead of one. Very nice place to relax.

nothing, although not much to see outside out of season (when the beaches are closed) . But plenty to do at the spa , pool, gym, dining room....

The hotel is just beautiful! Located just 10 minutes away from Dong Hoi station, the hotel is just stunning to look at with spacious and extremely clean rooms and professional staffs. The hotel also offers a gorgeous view of Nhat Le river bay. This was our honeymoon and the staff was kind enough to greet us with a sweet personalized note and a cake. The breakfast menu is really delicious. Any day trips to Phong Nha Ke Bang will definitely pick up from this hotel. We had a beautiful stay at this property and cannot recommend this more! Cheers!
