Tommy was the friendliest host, he didn’t get to meet me until checkout and made sure to introduce himself and insisted on making me a coffee and a banana to apologise for not being there during my stay. The hotel itself is well looked after with great value for money. The room is very spacious and clean. 24 hour reception is good for solo traveler’s wanting to feel safe with late flights. Water, tea and coffee are free. Tommy has great English so communication is easy. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who has an inconvenient flight time as it’s a 5 minute drive from airport. Thank you again Tommy!

Location close to the airport, which was important for our 1 night stay. Triple glazing meant good sound proofing of our room, to aircraft noise and close by airport road traffic noise. A good breakfast was provided. The manager/owner was eager to make sure our stay was a good one.

First contact staff member was not good: he initially short changed us, then tried to charge a more than the minibar bar prices for drinks from reception; then suggested a booked Grab taxi for next day at 150000 Dong, which turned out to be only 50000 Dong the next day. Not a good start for tired travellers. Not too many food options in the not so attractive surrounding area. Booking.com should carefully check the room descriptions, as our room didn’t have many of the facilities listed in the room details. eg washing machine, clothes dryer, CD player, DVD player and …Fireplace! LOL!

If you’re looking for a place to sleep near the airport before a flight, this place is a good choice. Its owner/manager, Mr Tommy, is friendly, helpful and attentive. We were looking for a place to sleep after a long van ride before an early flight. Tommy set us up with a good,clean comfortable room, and arranged for breakfast and a car to our flight. If I had any complaint it was that the room smelled a bit from cleaner, which is a positive in retrospect. There are no frills and we didn’t leave the premises. But for us it was what we needed. And 35 USD is the right price.

After much research, we chose the New Airport Hotel based on its location and room size. We were pleasantly surprised that the room exceeded our expectations on many other levels. Late check-in wasn’t a problem and went without a hitch. The room had everything we needed for our one-night transit stop, including a hairdryer and basic toiletries. Drinking water was available in the room, and there was a fridge in the lobby with more beverages. Tommy was very helpful and quick to reply to all of our questions, making sure our brief stay was as pleasant as possible -- 10 stars for service.

Well it’s all been said hasn’t it, Tommy’s infectious enthusiasm 👏(the world needs more Tommys), the clean spacious quiet rooms, double glazed windows ensuring no traffic noise, simple but delightful breakfast providing all one really needs to tackle the day, brought up the steps to the restaurant by Tommy and his offsider…and yes they have a kitchen to correct the ledger from one totally negative review. An interesting little village with several restaurants and shops. Very local and non touristy. Tommy organised a 5.45 am ride to the airport 👍 Don’t hesitate to book, best value for money in Hanoi.See you again…

Clean comfortable rooms,the staff are lovely, extremely friendly and helpful. We were able to book some day trips and overnight visits from here with the help of the staff,for a very reasonable price. The location is good for the airport,but we used it as a base while we stayed as there are plenty of places to visit just in this area,shops and restaurants with delicious food for a fraction of the price you would pay for in the centre of Hanoi. We would highly recommend staying here, Tommy is really kind and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for him ☺️

This place is a great place to stay. Lovely friendly and helpful staff.We have been made to feel very welcome there. The room was very clean and the huge bed is really comfortable. Breakfast is great,there are some options to choose from. For evening meals there are restaurants within walking distance that serve delicious food at really good prices and there is the BEST barbecue restaurant close by,but unfortunately I can't remember the name,the food is amazing! Ask Tommy where it is! We will be staying again 😁

Nothing to complain about

This place was great. The owners were very kind and helpful, they drive you to the airport or pick you up for minimal cost, the beds were comfortable and it was only 7 minutes from the airport. We would 100% reccomend.

I have nothing negative to say. I would not reccomend for very long stays because it is far from the old quarter, but we only stayed for one night prior to an early flight the next morning and we could not have asked for anything else.

Great value stay near Hanoi Airport Perfect for a layover, day or overnight stay, this hotel is super close to the airport. Staff were super helpful and even stored our luggage during a short side trip. The room is simple but clean, with a firm bed that suited me well. Great value and convenience for transit travelers.

Being close to the airport and main road, it can be busy. Consider wearing ear plugs.

Tommy was incredibly flexible and accommodating — he kindly accepted our early check-in request, which really helped with our travel plans and made the transit much smoother. The hotel is perfectly located near the airport, making it ideal for avoiding delays or catching very early flights. Tommy was also very friendly and made sure everything went well during our stay. The Wi-Fi was excellent too, fast and reliable.
