We stayed in on of the boats and it was great fun. The pool area was lovely - especially during the hot weather. The gardens and dining area are beautiful too. Lovely friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for you. Especially the girls at reception and in the restaurant.

I was contacted by WhatsApp after making my booking by someone who identified themselves as the receptionist from this property. The helped me organise a transfer from Saigon and also a couple of tours. The car was an hour late to pick us up and the tours were very average. When I discussed this with reception, it turns out the guy wasn’t even a part of the hotel - I have no idea how he got my personal phone number but it can only be from the hotel. I really didn’t appreciate this at all. He also had over charged me for everything. The guy then sent me another WhatsApp admitting he wasn’t a member of staff. I asked how he got my number but he didn’t reply. The breakfast foods can be covered to stop flies going on them.

I cannot express enough how happy we were to be here for two nights. I have stayed in different types of accommodation all over the world and this is one place I will always remember. The lodges ooze character and authentic charm in every sense. The outside ensuite bathroom was quite unique, yet still so private. For a start the staff showed an incredible amount of patience and were very calm, soft-natured and helpful. The staff at the lodge allowed us to check in an hour early, which was also greatly appreciated following our extremely long journey from the Czech Republic. As far as the amenities are concerned it affords a pool peppered with marigolds and coconut trees. We had the fortune of staying right next to it. By night I was able to swim under the moonlit night accompanied by the occassional firefly. Last, but certainly not least, is its position away from a main road. Thus it can only be reached by small tarmac lanes or river. The area surrounding it is enveloped in vegetation, jackfruit, durian and banana trees. It's peaceful, good value and I truly hope that the owner maintains the standard of this place in years to I wish Mekong Silt Lodge all the prosperity it deserves and a very Happy Lunar New Year. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING, everyone.

The showers are warm when run for a little. For those wanting a hot shower you're probably best off checking into the Sheraton Hotel down the road for a much less authentic experience of Vietnamese life. Hitherto, I cannot find any justifiable, negative comments to say about this spot. That aside, if you want the convenience of shops and restaurants you won't find an abundance here. That's the sacrifice of a tranquil, lovely location.

Staff were all really friendly and incredibly helpful. The peaceful setting and large pool are perfect for a few days away from the city. The beds were very comfortable, and the room air con and fridge worked well. The refillable glass water bottles, tea/coffee, and robes were nice additions as well. The outdoor bathroom was lovely. The floating market trip organised by the hotel was well worth doing, although it felt a little expensive. Breakfast and dinner choices were plentiful and, for the most part, well cooked and tasty.

Appreciating the setting, there still seemed to be a lot of bugs in the room. We were inundated with lots of huge ants every morning and evening. The pool area is lovely, but the wooden loungers are very uncomfortable without cushions. The food in the restaurant was generally good, but a couple of the pork dishes were a bit disappointing. The price quoted for the laundry service seemed very high compared to other hotels throughout Vietnam (we opted not to use it).

Lovely setting, nice rooms and swimming pool. Staff is very friendly and we had two bikes with baby seats. They drive you with the electric car to the road whenever you want to. Breakfast is nice.

Family room is a bit small, could use a some more storage space or places to hang towels/clothes. The restaurant menu could use some slightly more western options, even it was just an omelet or basic sandwich. Was not so much for kids there. And because of the location its kind of a hassle to get somewhere else for dinner. One of the days we stayed there was a kind of celebration or party. Which meant people changing clothes at the swimming pool, and us swimming with a huge crowd watching everything. A bit uncomfortable.

The rooms are great. The bed is comfortable. No insects inside. There are some mosquito outside in the evening, but you can ask the staff for repellent. The swimming pool is clean and refreshing. The territory is clean and feels like a gardening full bloom. The staff is very friendly and communicable. Thank you for the pleasant time.

Everything was perfect

The whole trip was amazing and the staff were friendly and accommodating. They supported booking a car to and from the Ecolodge to Saigon. They also kindly organized a floating market tour and gave good advice on how to get to Can Tho to enjoy the city. The staff were friendly and the food was great. And the bungalows were charming and atmospheric. Highly recommend.

Amazing place. Like many of our stays in Vietnam we wish we could have stayed longer but we were moving through the country so quickly (we are a group of 3 friends that stayed 1 night). The staff here are excellent, from communicating through WhatsApp after booking and helping us to organise a Cai Rang market tour and the car to the airport in the afternoon (shout out to Cho the tour guide who does the tours at Silt Ecolodge, through Mekong Experience Travel, smart, intelligent dude who was great to chat to). Early morning Cai Rang tour is why we came here and to sail through the delta as dawn breaks is a veeerryy special thing. They take the eco thing seriously and will pick you up from the road in their electric car as it's a bit tricky to find for cabs (narrow roads). The lodge runs through solar power. There's a beautiful Buddhist pagoda on the main road just where the entrance to the side road is which is definitely worth seeing, very peaceful spot. Grab cars/bikes are easy to get from Can Tho town to the lodge (5 min walk from the main road where they drop you off, we guided the cab to the pagoda). You should go into town to check out the night food market as it was one of the best we saw. Also, eat at the restaurant - they take your order in the afternoon and cook for you in the evening. We had the Thai hotpot which was amazing. Rooms are great, the floating rooms on the lake and the lakeside lodge looked ideal for couples. Rooms have mosquito nets on the beds and a minibar. One of the best stays we had on our trip but waaayyyyyyy too short, I could have stayed for days!!

Everything was great, 5 stars.

One of the most beautiful hotels we stayed in so far in Vietnam! The surroundings are stunning and also the cabin as such and the outside bathroom were just amazing! It is so peaceful and calming and perfect for a get away from the city. The staff is super nice and helpful and always there if you have any questions. We booked the boat-tour to the floating market which was one of our highlights so far. The tour guide and the captain of the boat were both so nice and attentive. It didn’t feel like one of the classic tourist-boat tours - so highly recommended from our side! If we would come again to the Can Tho Region we would def book here again!

The property is quite far away from the city center and is only accessible from the main street via a narrow and long street. Bear this in mind while booking, there is not much to do around the property, so you always need to get a taxi (or take one of the free bikes) if you want to go somewhere else. Also, we didnt have warm water in the shower which was okay for an outside bathroom where it’s always humid and warm. Again, it was okay for us, so we would definitely come back again!

The staff was very helpful and contacted the bus station to arranged the pick up when we arrived in the station, also arranged our tickets for the return back to the city. The room we booked was very unique and is an actual floating bedroom, very cool….

Just a suggestion that the room needs a mirror

Nice Ecolodge. Clean, attentive staff, nice food at the restaurant. Quiet place with some additional services. Free bikes for the guests when we stayed there.

Bit far from city centre. They don't have motorbikes to rent and the road it's busy to go by bike.
