June 2025

We stayed at Ibis Styles Vung Tau for 3 nights The positives: • Rooms are very well soundproofed – we didn’t hear any noise from other guests during our stay. • White, clean, well-maintained towels. • Spacious bathroom with a fully enclosed shower and excellent hot water pressure. • Air conditioning runs continuously, even when you’re not in the room. • Power outlets also work without inserting the key card. • We received two key cards at check-in – rare, but very convenient. • Rooftop pool area is lovely, with lots of seating and great views. • Daily housekeeping. • No toiletries in the room (to reduce plastic waste), but you can request them at reception. • Big, comfortable bed with a full duvet cover. • Plenty of power outlets, including one on each side of the bed. • Large mirror in the room + magnifying mirror in the bathroom. • Very helpful and kind reception staff – they even helped us book a minivan back to Ho Chi Minh City (the transport company refused to arrange hotel pick-up because we didn’t have a Vietnamese phone number, but the hotel staff sorted it out for us!).

Minor issues (mostly external): • Not the hotel’s fault, but the beach area is currently undergoing major redevelopment. The entire area around the hotel is one big construction site. On one night we could even hear workers in the distance until early morning – didn’t bother us as we sleep with earplugs, but worth noting. • I’d probably choose a hotel next time on the side of the beach with sunset views. • Our room had a sea view, but the windows were extremely dirty – likely because of the nearby construction. • The “fridge” is more of a display cooler – it doesn’t chill as quickly or as well as a normal fridge, though it wasn’t a real issue for us.

Modern aesthetically pleasing design. Very spacious and comfortable. Bright uplifting colors. New stylish decor. Ideally situated opposite the beach. Staff are extremely helpful and accommodating. I had a problem with my booking and they sorted it out in a short time. The pool area has amazing views, but no umbrellas in the seating area to protect you from the sun. The water was sparking clean and has a rooftop bar. Clean neat gym room. Mattress and bedding was of the highest hotel quality. Top stuff. Great sea views

Breakfast had a good selection however most of the dishes contain pork so I couldn’t eat anything as I don’t eat pork so that was disappointed for me. The parking area is away from the building so for lazy walkers like me it isn’t good. They have old non android TVs so you can’t connect/watch Netflix or other streaming channels

Great location on the foreshore with less than ten minute walk to the main food street. The rebuild of the park along the beach was still underway when we were there, but the parts that were open were impressive. If you are looking for a beach, this side of Vung Tai has a very long and wide sandy beach. The room was spacious and clean and provided bottled water. The buffet breakfast has an impressive array of local foods, though it is very busy in the morning.

This location couldn't be better—it's just a quick 2-minute walk to the beach. They've got everything covered for keeping things clean, with faucets for washing off sand and doormats for drying your feet before you step inside. It's a simple yet effective way to make sure the hotel stays nice and tidy. Moreover, the hotel boasts a rooftop swimming pool with separate sections for both children and adults, ensuring that everyone can enjoy a refreshing dip in their own space." In addition, the service at the hotel was exceptional, with a particularly noteworthy mention to all the staff from reception, especially Ms. Thu, who provided caring and attentive assistance throughout our stay, enhancing our overall experience.

The children's club unfortunately suffers from poor ventilation, making it uncomfortably warm. Additionally, the breakfast spread lacks variety and excitement. It would greatly benefit from an upgrade to the buffet selection, with a focus on incorporating more local delicacies. Suggestions for improvement include more meat and seafood options like Pho Bo (beef noodle soup), Seafood Congee, Bun Be Be (a Vietnamese rice noodle dish), Banh Khot (savory mini pancakes), or even Com Suon (rice with grilled pork ribs). Adding some dim sum to the mix would also be a welcomed addition. Furthermore, streamlining the menu by removing redundant items such as excessive bread varieties would help streamline the dining experience."

Room is nicely decorated and furnished. The receptionist (Mr. Nam) was very friendly to welcome me and helped me a lot when I checked in the hotel. He even upgraded my Standard Room to Superior Room for free because it was the first time I was here. Actually I really went here for vacation and to see if I like the hotel. He even allowed me to check out at 12:30 pm because we checked in quite late. I felt very welcomed and warm with this offer. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool area was nice and perfect for chilling out, they even provided us with the towels to dry ourselves and keep us warm before we got back to our room.

Toothbrush and toothpaste were not in the room and we had to ask for them and they will provide. We didnt know it and we bought our own toothbrush and toothpaste. Please let us know about this rule in advance. The elevator is not easy to use, we need clear instruction in advance. We got stuck in the elevator for a few minutes (no light) because we didnt know how to use it properly. Luckily, someone outside used it and the door was open. We were completely scared. After that, the staff explained to me very clearly about how to use it. It’s quite different from other hotels we have been to (use the cards differently).

The breakfast was amazing because there are many varities of foods and drinks. Moreover, the foods are tasty and delicious. The rooms are clean and colorful. It was comfortable and good vibes. All the staffs in the morning and evening shifts are very friendly and very helpful. The hotel is located close to the back beach and some good food places.

The two things i did not like is the zero plastic policy and toilet amenities was not provided and need to ask for it at the counter.

This hotel has a more funky arcade feel due to its colour scheme and lobby entertainment. The rooms are spacious and beds come with thick puffy boasters and pillows. The only slight downside is the air conditioning - it was too cold for my preferences and I did not know how to fix it. Overall, definitely worth it when you stay in Vung Tau.

The Ibis is a nice choice to stay in Vung Tau. Modern facilities, great location right across the street from the beach, comfortable rooms. Staff is friendly and helpful (and generally speak good English). Very nice pool/bar on the rooftop. Restaurant is good.

One thing: not the hotel's fault, but public gatherings near the beach can be quite noisy early morning and at night. Best to try to get a room on the left side of the hotel, not the right side. Also: no room service is provided, a little surprising, just a slight inconvenience sometimes.

It was clean; the staff were so helpful; the pool was beautiful; breakfast was great I have nothing to complain about Hieu helped me book a car back to HCM and was so helpful. Luan was lovely at check out. All staff were amazing. I had a migraine and was sick on the first night. I was so so so thankful to be sick in such a clean bathroom.

Honestly nothing. The stay was amazing. For an Aussie in Vietnam, it was a bargain.

Great location. We paid for an upgrade to a room with a sea view on the 11th floor. The room was clean and comfortable but we couldn’t get the air con to work so an engineer came within minutes and got it working. Great service! The roof top infinity pool was lovely.

We were disturbed by very loud music from a fun fair on a neighbouring plot. This started at 6pm and continued until 10pm.
