The rooms looked great on the inside, with a very cohesive decoration scheme and nice furniture. There was a good amount of space in the 2-Queen room, with plenty of storage, a usable desk, and a separate sitting area. The King Suite (now listed as the Romantic Jacuzzi Suite) was amazing.

The stairs up to the 2nd floor were metal that got slick in the rain (yes, it rained - bad luck), which made me nervous going up and down with kids and luggage. The parking lot was pretty cramped, although there was always a spot available when I needed it (but in general, I'm not a fan of having to pay for parking upfront not knowing if you'll even be able to use it). I didn't feel unsafe walking around near the motel, but there's not much in easy walking distance, and the roads are pretty busy.

This is a comfortable room in a clean well managed facility. The location is incredibly convenient, close to the freeway shopping and amenities. I paid $99 for a king size bed in a room with a microwave refrigerator and large comfortable bathroom. This is an old motel that’s been upgraded. Unlike other hotels of similar vintage, I found the rooms to be very clean, quiet, and, comfortable providing an overall pleasant experience for a bargain hotel.

For the price, it would be wildly unrealistic to expect much more. It would be great if there was a breakfast room with a free breakfast, but I can’t see them being able to make a profit if they had to shoulder that additional expense since they are pretty much the lowest priced 8+ rated hotel around from what I can see by the other reviews. All rooms are no smoking and no pets.

The hotel, though older, has renovated rooms and a reception area and now features a very modern style that is both clean and comfortable. The rooms are well-maintained, and the contemporary design adds a fresh touch to the overall ambiance. One of the best aspects of Hotel Astro is its value. If you're looking for a budget-friendly place to stay with modern amenities and easy access to downtown Pasadena, Hotel Astro is an excellent choice. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit. It offers free parking at the site, no breakfast provided. Vending machines and Ice Machine at the site.

Our room was squeaky clean. Lots of room to spread out. Adorable decor. Linens were all relatively new & cute. Temperature control in the room was excellent. Easy in/out. I would stay again!

The shower soap only dispenses 1/8th teaspoon per squirt and after dozens of pumping I still only had a fraction of a teaspoon. There’s a constrictor that restricts the flow that cannot be removed. We stayed in the spring (May 20-22, 2024). All the summer bedding had been placed. The bedding consists of an ultra thin blanket and an even thinner polyester bedcover. I was quite cold both nights and ended sleeping in my sweater all night.

The place was obviously upgraded, the rooms were super cute, and even the front desk was aesthetically appealing!

The only issue was the parking was a little small and part of the hotel policy stated that if there were no more spots available that you’d need to get a street parking permit. Luckily I didn’t have to do that but I was concerned about it. Also the WiFi didn’t always work but that’s honestly it.

We wish there were towel racks to store our used towels on for our party of 3 people. There was no where to hang up towels which resulted in us requesting more new towels after only using the towel once. We also wished there was a full body mirror available.

There is just one small thing, which is that the cleaning product used in my room smelled really strong (or maybe it was an air freshener or something?). It just took some getting used to, but it was a bit distracting at first. Besides that everything was great and I'll stay again!

Great value option for a weekend stay in Pasadena. I stayed at a different property last year that cost about 2x as much and certainly wasn't any nicer than the Astro. WiFi was pretty good as well.

It's a discount motel so it doesn't have much in terms of amenities, but it did have an in-room refrigerator and microwave which was a surprisingly nice touch.

I had to find a hôtel at last minute. I found the Astro hôtel on trivago. I was able to. get a room for the night. what a surpris. itwas very clean an clode to the 210 hwy. D'ennuis was a block away. great place to stop. will definitely use them again. great service.

Our first room had a sewage issue with a perpetual smell, so when we asked to either fix or change the room during the 2nd night, we were able to change rooms by the next morning, which we appreciated! Location was great too.

The outside is definitely motel vibes, but the rooms itself look like a hotel inside - a bit misleading by the accomodation name with initial impressions but the interior was spectacular!
