The hotel has a great location; we loved that we could book a room with a big window and a balcony with a view over the lake and mountains. The bed was very comfortable; the room had what we needed. It was nice that the hotel has its own beach area in front of the hotel with sun loungers and umbrellas, with easy access to the bar/ lounge if you want to buy drinks. There are shops very near and the hotel is at one end of the lakeside promenade and there are restaurants, cafes and bars all along the promenade area. Although we didn’t need an accessible property, it is great that the hotel is accessible and Pogradec itself is very flat and accessible and attracts wheelchair users and older people because of this.

The hotel is quite basic in a number of respects. The breakfast buffet was fine and offered eggs, bread, sausage, cheese, tomato, cucumber and jam, as well as cereal, but it was not a big buffet, there was no fruit, the coffee was terrible. In the hotel rooms, the bathroom was small, the shower was fine but soaks the floor, the bathroom products were basic and not very good quality. We don’t speak Albanian and the staff at the front desk did not speak a lot of English, so we didn’t manage to get much helpful information from them.

I love that it was located by Lake Ohrid and the winter weather was perfect. Room was clean, even though old. The cleaner and staff were helpful even though not everyone speak English. I was given a room that has a balcony overlooking the Lake. Pogradec is beautiful in its own ways and I get to enjoy nature by myself.

The toilet was old and generally an old hotel room. Need some maintenance but I must say the cleaner did a good job to make the place comfortable. We need shower gel:) if possible.

My parents stayed at hotel Enkelana and it was an amazing experience from the moment we booked until they left. I reached out to the hotel several times with questions and they were so quick to reply. They took care of everything we needed before they got there, when I asked if I can pay before my parents get there to surprise them, they said yes but it wasn't just that, when my parents got there, the hotel had prepared a nice note for them. Above and beyond customer service! The room was very clean and very very nice. The restaurant in the hotel was very nice and the food was exceptional! My parents mentioned one of the waiters at the hotel restaurant, Arian, and he was amazing! Also, the lady that helped them keep the room clean, Vali. She was amazing as well! My parents were very sad to leave as they felt part of the family there. Thank you, Hotel Enkelana! See you next year when we all come and visit!

View from balcony of city & lake was great. Very convenient for dining, banks/ ATM, groceries. Walking distance to Intercity bus station if you don't mind the hike uphill. April seems a little early for some of the activities & could not find the tourist information Centre. Weather colder than expected for spring(snow was forecast the night after I left). A great stay. Recommend location & accommodation.

Everything was great and a good value for money! The receptionists and the housekeepers were friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable but they could include a kettle and some coffee and tea as most of the hotels do. The breakfast was very poor with limited options. I could never find coffee and sometimes I couldn’t even find petula. Overall it was a nice stay!

The location was perfect, the lakeview from the bed was fantastic for the price, the room was clean and the cleaning staff was really nice and professional.

Breakfast was not bad, but very few options and every day of our 3 days stay there were the same options. The view was really nice but the place was too small for all the people that were there, it turned into a crowded room more than a relaxing breakfast.

We had a wonderful two bed suite with 180 degree views of the lake. Stunning and plenty of room for 4 of us. Great location on the waterfront. Terraces are lovely

Breakfast at the weekend is a combination of survival of the fittest and feeding time at the zoo. Horrendous with big queues and people filling their plates like it’s their last supper… Workman on the building site next door starting early and washing their paintbrushes in the lake. Unbelievable. It is not the hotel’s fault and they were going to speak with the builders once we reported it.

Breakfast was good. Our view from our balcony was amazing. The staff kind and helpful. Juren at The front desk was so helpful. Even calling our rental car company when we were concerned about some issues. He gave us some great suggestions about what to see and do.

The shower could be designed better so the water doesn’t go out onto the floor. Shower door that completely shut and/or an edge that keeps the water in.

Had a suite. It was a lovely huge room. View of the lake was memorising. Balcony to sit and soak it up. Room exactly as shown in the photos. Really enjoyed bein in the room. Fridge in room was great for keeping drinks cool. A/c worked really well. Great shower. Hotel was a good size and had a bar with lovely desserts. With windows shut the room was very quiet. Sound proofing was excellent. Outside there was a lively buss but not like sone resorts in other countries where there is lots of shouting and drunken behaviour. It was a lovely atmosphere of people enjoying themselves respectful of others. So far in Albania that has been the vibe. No traffics noise as road doesn’t run in front of hotel. Car park next to hotel. The location was fantastic. I would definitely stay again and recommend to others despite a few negatives.

Pillows were very hard. For English visitors a kettle in room would be nice. Breakfast wasn’t great. The first morning we came down at 8.15 (breakfast finished at 10) and were told the milk has finished. No milk for cereal or coffee! Coffee and tea sat in jugs but they did not keep hot. Generally the hot food wasn’t kept hot. So everything cooled down very quickly. Organisation of the buffet wasn’t very good so you had to join a long line to get anything. There was some variety but no fruit. Swimming pool in hotel was 5 euros. Unsurprisingly there was no one in it! In summer the lake was perfect.

The check in was very smooth, and the staff was very helpful, especially the cleaning lady she always made sure we were provided with towels etc. Our room was very spacious and had amazing an amazing view! Breakfast was included in the price which quite a selection and very tasty, great start of the day!

The bed was uncomfortable as one of the sides kept on sinking every time you would lay on it and the toilet had a quite unpleasant smell.
