Stayed in a junior suite, great large room with a living room area and perfect bathroom with separate shower. Tastefully put together, kept super clean, and the staff is very attentive and helpful. Spectacular views, very peaceful and we really enjoyed breakfasts on the dining room porch, visiting the chapel, and walking the grounds on the footpaths. Beautiful hikes nearby in the national park. Convenient parking; if you’re driving in, just go around the cone blocking the front entrance and drive through the pedestrian area approaching the momentary, the hotel parking is around the back of the monastery.

It was a bit pricier than other places, including for the laundry service, but then again it’s a very nice experience so perhaps you get what you pay for! We were very happy to have chosen to stay here for 4 nights.

The entrance was very grand and the location was spectacular-right next to the monastery with amazing views. The two bedroom apartment was large, basic but comfortable. We had 2 excellent breakfasts in the restaurant and a pleasant dinner experience also. We were a short stroll to the Spring Boats, the beach and the markets and restaurants. The location was fantastic!

Our first night’s sleep was very disturbed due to a dripping toilet setting off a loud, vibrating pump which shook the bed. We let reception know. They offered to move us for our second night, but we really didn’t want to have to pack up again and move so we opted to stay and have their maintenance person look at the problem. They said they fixed it but the same problem happened the second night. We turned the toilet fill tap off at the wall so we could get some sleep.

The hotel was absolutely lovely — peaceful and serene, offering a perfect escape. The views were truly spectacular, and the staff went above and beyond, always friendly and accommodating. One of the most charming touches was the presence of beautiful peacocks roaming the grounds. The gentle sound of church bells in the distance added to the overall sense of calm and tranquility.

The only downside to this hotel was that all the restaurants closed by 8 p.m., which made it a bit difficult to grab a late dinner

Once you drive in the area and parked beside the monastery, you immediately feel you are previliged because other tourist cannot drive in the area. After all the day tourist gone, you feel you own the whole lake and monastery. The hotel is in the building obviously was monk's living quarters in the ancient time. There are peacocks roaming in the garden. In the morning, you are awakened by the sound of peacocks in the yard.

Authentic, very clean, peaceful, amazing view, but most importantly very kind friendly staff that makes your stay exceptional. The whole atmosphere of the place early in the morning before the first tours arrive is unforgettable. the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. Thank you!

It can be quite cold in the evening and early morning so dress appropriately.

I am on a road trip from Vienna to Odrin through every single Balkan Country. Best place to stay, second to nothing! Clean, quiet, spiritual, people are awesome :) The breakfast was fine, but the view toward the lake was just fantastic. I hope I can visit again. Sorry for the trouble with the car, but thanks for the help!

All good! Probably the fridge should be in the room with the table, but other than this, perfect! Can be little noisy when the tourists start gathering up.

If you are travelling through Northern Macedonia, or the Balkans in general, this place is not to be missed. Quiet, peaceful and cosy, you can stay here for a week for sure, maybe more. The surrounding beauty is beyond description. The hotel in the monastery is classic, with a hundred old oak furniture, but nevertheless comfortable. And the view from the window is worth a million. A lovely restaurant with veranda, a park with peacocks and a sad-bottomed beach just outside the doorstep.

Preface with this: If you are planning to visit Lake Ohrid on the North Macedonia side, it is highly recommended you stay here. The very old monastery has been converted into a hotel. The history is palpable here, and the views are truly spectacular. If in your budget, pay extra for a lakeview room. You will not be disappointed. The monastery is at the end of a lakefront promenade. Along this promenade you can purchase souvenirs and snacks. There a couple very nice restaurants as well. People come to the lake beach to sunbathe (there is a campground behind the monastery) so it can feel touristy but not overly so. We saw two pairs of newlyweds taking pictures there during early evening. And rightly so, the sun setting on the lake was superb. You can take a 30-minute covered rowboat ride on the spring-fed pond there too. It’s a UNESCO site. Highly recommended. Five Euros if you go with a group. Our “gondolier” was a high school young man from Korce named Angel. He knew a lot about the spring and shared information in different languages. His kindness and congeniality added to our experience there. Behind the monastery to the left is a small walking trail that borders the pond in places. The nature stroll was a highlight. The breakfast (included) was tasty and varied. We ate in the veranda overlooking the lake. It was sublime.

A fantastic place in itself. Hotel in a former monastery right by the lake and springs. The beach next to the hotel - on the other hand, the monastery from the tourist one is completely forgotten in a military camp on the border with Albania. Nice and helpful staff.

You can have dinner at the hotel only until 7:00 p.m. The surrounding restaurants then close at around 8:30 p.m. That's very early :(

The location overlooking the St Naum church is unbeatable, exceptional and absolutely stunning. A must do for at least one night if visiting Ohrid lake. The beaches next to the hotel were so clear and not crowded. The spring boat tour was also unmissable. The word to describe the environment is heavenly.

The blinds in the rooms don’t block out any light so we had early wake ups every morning. Also the way the hotel arranges the bedding is strange. The duvet is covered by a sheet that is much smaller than the duvet and there were stains on it. The staff were apologetic and changed the duvet but still a strange bedding set up.
