Newly opened hotel and had an excellent experience. The facilities are top-notch and brand new, providing a fresh and modern atmosphere. The staff were incredibly dedicated and well-trained, ensuring that every aspect of my stay was perfect. The restaurant offered delicious and well-prepared dishes, making each meal a delight. Overall, it was an outstanding stay, and I highly recommend this hotel.

All was just very good

I have had a very pleasant stay here. The beds are really comfortable, the rooms have a lot of space, a fantastic shower and also a fantastic breakfast with lots of choice and the possibility to order almost everything you would like. Special thanks to Fernando and his team for helping with and joining me to the football match in Estadio 11 Novembre and for organizing all the transport I asked for. Also thanks for the great communication and the excellent service (early check in and late check out for example) all the time. Obrigado!!

Everyone was kind and very helpful. The hotel is perfect for solo travelers it's safe and the hospitality is 10/10 Everyone at the hotel was amazing from Fernando who received me on my arrival, Ivandro who assisted me a lot with communication challenges (I speak English and people speak Portuguese in Luanda), the manager Delcio, even the driver Gasper was amazing. I had the best time!

The stuff were pleasant and helpful. The rooms were always clean and sheets were always crisp. Beautiful quaint hotel with lovely art and wall paintings. The interior decor in the hotel is amazing. They always left out some kind of snack and drink. My stay there in totality was pleasant

Location was far away from town. Breakfast had limited options but enjoyable nonetheless. The cleaning solutions they use have an unpleasant smell and I had to ask for my room to be sprayed with an air freshner most of the time. Though the staff were pleasant and helpful, it would help if the staff had some basic understanding of English. They sometimes got orders wrong for simple requests.

Close to airport for overnight between flights internally from international arrivals. Clean. Tidy. Staff however poor on English and one cannot under any circumstance rely on the hotel shuttle. Even if you send a message on bookings.com you will be stranded at the airport. You must find someone who speaks Portuguese to arrange and even then they get it wrong.

Not in the centre of town if I had business in Luanda I would stay somewhere else. But as an over night it’s close to come and go for overnight stays. No 24/7 service. No coffee on the morning. Machines in room don’t work. Sometimes flights very delayed. Room service 24/7 which is an international standard would make it a better stay. In the middle of nowhere cannot leave or walk outside. No where near the Illia. So if an overnighter option should have 24/7 room service.

The Protea hotel by Marriott in Luanda is a brand new hotel which is tastefully decorated and with a modern urban vibe. The hotel is staffed by young, competent, professional, polite and energetic staff. The staff in all areas (bar, restaurant, front desk, management) are very eager to ensure the comfort of guests. The hotel is located away from the beaches, in a residential part of Samba in Luanda, but the quality of service and the easy access to different parts of the city make up for that. The hotel is very safe and security is not a concern at all. The rooftop bar is a great spot to chill at the end of the workday.
