The breakfast was great, with a wide variety of options to suit everyone, including gluten-free choices. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The temperature of the swimming pool was perfect, and the location was also ideal—close to everything we needed.

We didn’t realise our room would be on the first floor—had we known in advance, we might have preferred a ground floor room for easier access. Just a small suggestion: it would be great to have a dedicated toaster for gluten-free bread or toasties at breakfast.

Breakfast was provided and you even had a Christmas cracker. Good size room with fridge. I enjoyed the pool/BBQ area

The self check in wasn't great. Had to get someone who was staying in another room to help. Even when I was there and people was struggling with check in, I tried helping them. Staff should be on site for few hours during check in to avoid guest helping guest out. BBQ wasn't working during my first night but they got it working for my final night.

If you ever visit Katherine, the Twin Pines Motel is the place to stay. Wonderful, friendly staff, secure (free) parking, clean, comfortable, quiet dark rooms, (conducive to a wonderful night's sleep), and a delicious full breakfast the next morning to get you on your way - fabulous! From the moment we checked in, it felt more like we were visiting friends than staying at a motel. The property is gated, so feels very secure, and once checked in, you don't need to leave the property if you don't want to. Guests can self cater their evening meal using the free poolside barbeque, or take advantage of the property's poolside dinner and drinks option - we did the "poolside dinner and drinks" which consisted of a delicious pizza and a choice of drinks. It's also nice sitting around the pool chatting to other travellers and getting tips on where to go and what to see in the area. We will definitely stay at the Twin Pines Motel when we visit the NT again.

Felt safe and secure, pool was terrific and had a quiet nights rest. Fair price and given Katherine crime and disorder at this time, being 3 streets back from the main road was a bit bonus.

It’s not the motels fault however Katherine appears to be getting worse with loitering indigenous people, drunk and disorderly around shops, general intimidation, and something that needs resolution.

Walking into the motel room was like stepping back into my childhood in the '80s - it was a very basic room, but had everything we needed. It was clean, the aircon was lovely and cool, and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. The pool area included an outdoor kitchen, which meant we could make toast for breakfast, pop popccorn in the microwave, or cook our own dinners, which we really apreciated. There was also a social night with pizza and margaritas, which we didn't take advantage of, but looked lovely. Pine Tree is in an excellent location, an easy walk into town or the local supermarket. The inluded breakfast was great - lots of choice and very tasty

The wifi was non-existent in the two rooms we booked (on checking in we warned it could be a bit hit and miss), but that didn't really help us. We received a LOT of emails prior to checking in ... but not once did anyone let us know we should book tours of the local area early. A warning would be nice. Parking is tight - both the size and number of spots. Reception is supposed to open until 7pm, but on our first night we went to ask a question at 6.20pm and it was closed.

Two points that I did not highlight in my previous review. Rooms do not have a microwave. This is unusual - rooms at most properties nowadays have at least a small one. There is, however, a large microwave in the pool/garden area which guests can avail themselves of. Similar to most properties, this property does not have a recycling service/facilities. I believe that most accommodation providers should aim to do more in this area.

Open rooms. Great breakfast . Very surprised at the price. Smart management. Catering to workers who will keep coming back . Good marketing and price good. Well done. Be back

Great location room was clean. Staff were fantastic. Breakfast exceeded our expectations by far. (nothing beats a full continental breakfast) Laundry facilities were great . The Pool and surrounds were clean and tidy .The BBQ area was also clean and tidy with plenty of tables and chairs for all

We couldn't stay longer

Breakfast was very good for a budget motel. Bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans and potato gems, all well cooked by the chef. Yoghurt, fresh fruit selection, 4 juices, 4 different types of bread, usual Vegemite, peanut butter etc. bonus, cappuccino machine ( even included take away cups )

Nothing

Clean, quiet, cool, and comfortable. Couldn't ask for much more. I particularly liked the self check in and that the room was cool on arrival.

Maybe a little outdated, but isn't all of Karherine. Nothing to complain about.
