Very comfortable stay. Nice location, and very clean. Staff went above and beyond seeing me well looked after, one lovely girl brought me water bottles and made sure I was okay since I arrived a bit exhausted. I noticed the hotel has a great looking restaurant. For the reception guests just check in at the bar. There will always be someone in bar area to attend to checking in.

The Pokie machine area has a bit of an odor, but you just pass through quickly. Maybe an odor eliminator could be beneficial in this area, but a few pokies players didn't seem bothered.

Ivan’s (man behind the bar) service was exceptional, along with the woman who was the manager ( apologies as I didn’t catch her name.) We had just completed a very long trip to get there and they were wonderful in organising an easy check in and a delicious meal without a long wait. So appreciative!

All good & so suitable to travellers in a car

The property was a basic motel room, but comfortable a a long day on the road, as we got in a bit late we didn’t try their restaurant. Across the road was 2 takeaways joints and a bakery which had excellent

Little local undesirable’s, just make sure your car is locked and your valuables are locked away.

Included microwave but no dishes or plates, only tumblers and cutlery

Fridge was small and up high and there was no door on the freezer section which was over-iced and needed defrosting. The normal dining facility was unavailable due to a large function that night. Some ants and spiders webs

Location is in town, lovely restaurant at The Rix, other food options are nearby. After reading other reviews, I expected to stay in a dungeon but no! My room was lovely & modern, comfy double bed, hot water in a jiffy. It was excellent 👌🏻Ask for Room 9!

The room was tiny but as it was only me, I didn't mind at all. 2 people might find it a bit squeezy tho?

Everything. Dinner was amazing inside at the restaurant. The place just look overall clean and friendly.

Was woken quiet a few times during the night from drunk people outside out door. Is to be expected, being a pub. But with having an early wake up the next morning, it’s was annoying.

The Room was great and a very nice newly renovated ensuite which exceeded what you would normally get in pub accommodation. The staff were incredible, so nice and thoughtful and attentive. The food in the restaurant is amazing. I understand why they have won awards.

Ground floor motel room with on-site parking. Close proximity to CBD and easy walk to view historic buildings.

Restaurant was closed on night of stay. Some businesses were closed as well for Charters Towers show holiday on day of departure.

Check in was easy. Room clean and comfortable. Nice bathroom. Good meals at the restaurant. Terrific location. Allowed our rag doll kitten to stay.

The bathroom sink tap came off so we had to keep putting it back on again, but that’s minor

I liked the clean and tidy rooms after a long days drive. And a good working shower and fresh towels.

I didn't like that loud music from the pub. I found it hard to fall asleep. However I do understand I booked at a pub/motel and is to be expected.
