Superb location - very easy to get there by bus (50 cents!) from the airport in around 20 minutes, and just a walk across the road to get to a beautiful beach. The room (single) has a decent size and the sink is handy. Plenty of storage, too. The communal bathrooms were kept clean.

upon arrival my room smelled a bit, and the window cannot be opened (my friend had a double room (which also has a minifridge) and experienced the same, though his room had a balcony so airing was possible; however on that side of the building there was apparently a lot of noise, e.g. bottles being emptied early in the morning). The aircon is very loud.

I liked the service and the facilities. The room was small though adequate for one. The bathrooms were nicely updated and a great shower although I would've liked to be able to close the window while showering but I understand the issues of mould forming! The Bistro was a bonus with a very appealing menu. For a Friday night I was surprised I heard no noise! I hope to get that room next time.

The mattress needed turning as I felt like I was sleeping on a slight slope as one side against the wall, the access side was a little worn. Hard for housekeepers to flip a mattress but the should be flipped north south east west every 3 months. Your mattresses will last longer.

When we arrived at 10pm there was a group possibly staff having after work drinks in the courtyard directly below our room. They were very loud with the noise travelling directly to our room. They finished by 11pm but something that should be mentioned to staff to be more considerate of guests. Our A/C was working when we arrived but we turned it off. When we tried to turn it on during the night it was so noisy we had to turn it off. Reported this to staff when we left so hopefully it has been addressed.

It’s near Coles, near the beach and the bus stop. The location is perfect.

The main entrance door before reception is accessed via card. I don’t know why while I was waiting for my food in the microwave in the lounge area a security guard had to come and ask me which room I was if I had my key card on me. Why the hell would I be inside the premises if I don’t have access card. This was unnecessary and intimidating and for this alone. I’m never staying here again. All my life I’ve travelled in other countries without this nonsense. But for it to happen in Australia I must have looked homeless to this security guard 🙄

Great convenient location. Not far from the airport and lots of cafes/restaurants around and the pub downstairs looked great (but got there too late in the evening to have a proper dinner, but did have room service and late night smaller hit snack meals available).

It wasn’t an issue for me, but it does seem more like it could be considered more a hostel, but didn’t feel like it, as I stayed there on a Tuesday night. Soap in the the room at the sink would have been hand to wash my hands (when needed) and not have to go outside the room to wash hands at the shared (gender specific) bathrooms.

The rooms have been renovated so looks fresh and new. The place smells lovely. Coles supermarket and Domino's Pizza are across the road so easy to get essentials.

Stairs and parking.Lots of stairs to climb and drag up your luggage. Its an modern vibrant hotel with lots of customers, so parking is had to get. Parking at the back is paid parking but if you tell the bar staff they record your rego number and parking is free. I was not told this but asked about parking. That is how I found this out.

Short walk to beach, nice room, shared bathrooms are very modern and clean. Right in the heart of things.

Couldn't figure out where to get water for the kettle in shared kitchen; in- room tea and coffee facility would be a step up. Bedside lights that can be turned off from bed would be much better. Also would be good in ALL these older hotels, if receoption explains where bathrooms are. It's just a bit of a flusterlooking for thrm after a long drive!

We enjoyed our stay at this Hotel and were surprised what we got for the price we payed. It is very close to the Beach and also just a short drive to the airport. The rooms were very clean and so were the shared amenities. They had the best shower I have ever seen in shared bathrooms, even providing Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner and towels for free. The common area has a microwave and a fridge as well as filtered water. The hotel is close to burleigh heads which is a very nice area with lots of restaurants and cafes. Can only recommend staying here :)

The only thing I did not enjoy that much was that our room didn't have a proper window, but I saw that almost all other rooms had windows

I have been a frequent visitor to the Palm Beach Hotel over the last 6 years, and it never disappoints. Centrally located in beautiful Palm Beach Qld its within walking distance to the supermarket, medical centre, shops and cafes and beach. The Palm Beach Hotel has the best restaurant and bar. Providing you dont mind the shared bathroom facilities, which I might add are beautiful, then the Palm Beach Hotel is for you. Just be sure to book ahead.

The stairs. I reckon a lift would be a definite improvement.

Helpful, polite staff. Budget, well priced accommodation. Handbasin, TV, in room and room service available. Common room with shared fridge and shared, free, coffee, tea making facilities, with shared microwave. There are stairs, no lift, to accommodation if you aren't located in a ground floor room. It can be noisy in the night as it is a pub open till 4am. Only one night was noisy when I stayed. Polite and helpful Security guard patrolling all areas of the facility.

The shower toilet block was pretty cold but then again, it is winter.
