Check-in was friendly even though it was in the middle of busy evening service in the restaurant. For parking you get a number of the spot you are supposed to park in. During the dark and with a bus parking next to it it wasn't easy to find. When I entered the room, jazz music was playing and the lights were put on, creating a welcoming and relaxing mood. I needed to turn on the aircon pretty soon because it was a rainy winter day. The room looked high class and was very clean, the bed was comfortable. In the room was a medium size complimentary bottle of red wine and chips/crisps (depending on your variety of English ;) ). I could not figure out how to turn on the tv to anything but music. The wi-fi worked well so I just watched German news online instead.

I stayed from Thursday to Friday and therefore breakfast started very late as it counted as weekend. The warm choices were very salty. There were some noises going on during the night. Some guests at breakfast said that was the fire alarm. The aircon was making funny noises at times as well and some wildlife. But let's be honest: there is nothing to really dislike about this place. It was wonderful and stylish.

Room was lovely. Dinner at Conners on Friday was delicious. Loved the fireplace for pre- dinner drinks on the Friday .

Unfortunately no meals offered for Saturday night. Restaurant for some reason shut, no room service for food is a let down especially when you want to have a few drinks. When booking on the website it does say dinner is available on Saturday nights so this was a big disappointment for us.. No fire place at 4pm on the Saturday so we gave up and just sat in our room. Breakfast was okay but took forever to get coffee topped up and many empty banbaries like no eggs available for a while. Only other thing is there is no lake, it’s dried out. So don’t pay extra for lake view, we are thankful we changed our booking and didn’t pay for it.

Lovely setting. Spacious ground floor single storey apartment. Beds comfortable. Felt secure. Nice outlook. Park close by so surrounded by park & open spaces. Short drive or could walk to town. Reception/manager was friendly & professional. Did his best to resolve heating issues very promptly. Had everything we needed for our 3 nights day.

Like many hotels, Theentry doors bang loudly. Luckily, we didn’t have anyone next door. We were not advised prior to arriving that the restaurant was closed. As we were there from Friday to Monday we presumed the restaurant would be opened at the weekend. However, this is a temporary issue that we would check next time before booking.

Perfect location - bike hiring is good too

Can't recall if they told us that hiring a bike was $80! One of the tyres went flat, and they could not pick us up, so, we had to walk back to the hotel. What would have happened if we were further out in the Riesling trail? I guess they need to have a plan for those unforeseen situations.

The room was excellent. The staff were excellent

We went for buffet breakfast. $18 each. was expensive for a 4 year and 8ys olds I as and adult found I could only eat bacon and small amount of scrambled eggs and a little mushroom., (Wasn’t much left when we were there). I found that there was no consideration for dietary needs. I am a Cealic so could not eat any cereal or bread. Would have been nice to ar least have gluten free cereal. So $25 dollars was also a little steep for me. But the rest of adults found there was enough food for them, but did comment food was not very hot.

The location was close enough to town for convenience but not to close for noise and disruptions during the stay. The room was clean, the staff were fantastic and willing to help wherever, the restaurant and bar were convenient if you didn’t want to leave the club, the amenities were comfortable and well maintained. They also offered room service and gave you a small brochure on Clare to help ease into your stay.

The air con, although it worked well, we presume was filled with dust because by our second last and especially last night we were sneezing non-stop and couldn’t catch a break, with sore throats and blocked noses. We both have a dust allergy. We were fine a few hours after checking out, so it was not sickness. The pool and spa were great on the 40 degree day, but during the rest of the stay we were not aware the spa was not heated. I was very disappointed with this as was the main reason I spent extra to stay here as opposed to other locations. More information needs to be provided about the club.

We had a great experience at Clare country club! We weren’t really sure what we were going to get as some country clubs can be rather outdated… But this one was a welcome surprise! The room we were in looked newly in renovated and the pool was excellent! Even the dinner and food was delicious and the 4 till 6 pm happy hour was a bonus! We will be back

The guest laundry was a little old and smelly, so we decided against doing laundry! We also hired some bikes to use for the r Riesling Trail from the country club but we were given little to no instruction on how to find or get to the Riesling Trail! After a bit of Google searching and mapping we did eventually find it and it was rather close, so a few simple suggestions from the team on how to get there would’ve been nice! Once we found the trail, it was great!! Only a few minor things, but overall a great stay and would be back

Apartment was very good. For 2 couples or family. We had Apartment on the lake. Good breakfast

A little needs doing on some of the buildings. Eg grass growing in the gutters. Some needed painting . Just more care needed on outside around the appartments.

Friendly staff. Restaurant dinner was excellent. Picturesque setting, with views over pool to the lake. Gum trees are beautiful and lit at night. Lounge area at Reception is very comfortable, and Happy Hour is a great idea. There is so much to see and do in the area- wineries and history!

The quilt on the bed was not thick enough. There were 2 blankets, but they were old. The dining area would be enhanced with plants or colour- maybe artwork. Pricing is a bit high.

The bed was very comfortable - in fact probably the most comfortable we've come across in 3 weeks of travel. The shower was great, the room size was good, the room was clean. Nothing to fault with the accommodation.

We arrived feeling good but received a less than friendly reception which made us, as one-night-only guests, feel unwelcome. I'm sure this must have been a one-off tho'?? Caught someone at the wrong moment? But it did put a dampener on what would have been a lovely stay.
