Perfect location - bike hiring is good too

Can't recall if they told us that hiring a bike was $80! One of the tyres went flat, and they could not pick us up, so, we had to walk back to the hotel. What would have happened if we were further out in the Riesling trail? I guess they need to have a plan for those unforeseen situations.

The location was close enough to town for convenience but not to close for noise and disruptions during the stay. The room was clean, the staff were fantastic and willing to help wherever, the restaurant and bar were convenient if you didn’t want to leave the club, the amenities were comfortable and well maintained. They also offered room service and gave you a small brochure on Clare to help ease into your stay.

The air con, although it worked well, we presume was filled with dust because by our second last and especially last night we were sneezing non-stop and couldn’t catch a break, with sore throats and blocked noses. We both have a dust allergy. We were fine a few hours after checking out, so it was not sickness. The pool and spa were great on the 40 degree day, but during the rest of the stay we were not aware the spa was not heated. I was very disappointed with this as was the main reason I spent extra to stay here as opposed to other locations. More information needs to be provided about the club.

We had a great experience at Clare country club! We weren’t really sure what we were going to get as some country clubs can be rather outdated… But this one was a welcome surprise! The room we were in looked newly in renovated and the pool was excellent! Even the dinner and food was delicious and the 4 till 6 pm happy hour was a bonus! We will be back

The guest laundry was a little old and smelly, so we decided against doing laundry! We also hired some bikes to use for the r Riesling Trail from the country club but we were given little to no instruction on how to find or get to the Riesling Trail! After a bit of Google searching and mapping we did eventually find it and it was rather close, so a few simple suggestions from the team on how to get there would’ve been nice! Once we found the trail, it was great!! Only a few minor things, but overall a great stay and would be back

Apartment was very good. For 2 couples or family. We had Apartment on the lake. Good breakfast

A little needs doing on some of the buildings. Eg grass growing in the gutters. Some needed painting . Just more care needed on outside around the appartments.

The staff are lovely, friendly and so helpful. I was travelling without my husband on this occasion, and selected the Country Club because I knew I would feel safe during my 4 night stay. Newly refurbished rooms with walk-in shower and comfortable bed. Happy hour in the bar with an open fire is a great way of mingling with other guests before dinner. The breakfast option is amazing value and delicious. I had dinner one evening which was also delicious and good value. The Clare Valley is a wonderful choice for lovely wineries and eating out options, and the Reisling Trail is wonderful for walks and cycling.

The grounds and property are looking a little rundown.

Nice hotel room. Quite large with sofa and small chairs/table for 2. Stayed in course view room. Large bathroom with good shower. Hot day so made use of the pool, although small it is 1.8m deep. Did not use the breakfast facilities as decided to go for an early walk to beat the heat and had breakfast in the town.

Course view means looking at it through a window. Outdoor furniture overlooks the car park. It was very hot however so didn't really want to sit outside anyway.

Our room was absolutely lovely, very clean. very comfortable bed. Our meal was exceptional, cooked to perfection. We had the dukkah and chicken skewers for entree which was delicious. We both had the steak for mains, one was rare, the other medium rare, and they were exactly that. Potatoes were average and not very many of them. Dessert was quite nice, but all in all we loved our meal. Loved the lounge bar with the fireplace, and the breakfast was very nice too, not too keen on the powdered eggs though and it could have been warmer, but that is probably being a bit picky lol.

Very noisy, especially when people were checking in, and also from 7am in the morning. The room was quite expensive but when the receptionist saw what we paid, she threw in a complimentary breakfast which was very much appreciated. Only 5 sachets of coffee in the room, but we only had a couple of cups so it didnt really matter.

The room we were in was newly renovated and was pet friendly. They even provided a comfy dog bed and bowls. Breakfast was standard for this type of accommodation. Very nice walking the dog around the golf course early in the morning with the birds in the gum trees. The lounge bar with fire and chesterfield chairs was very cosy and comfortable. We also took a 6 hour wine tour with lunch included and it was fantastic.

A car is required to get around as taxis are expensive because most of the attraction ie wineries are 10 to 15km away in various locations.

Had a great long weekend at the Clare Country Club for a girls winery weekend away. Rooms were adjoining which was excellent, they were spacious, new & clean with a big bath tub in each room. The apartment had a full size fridge and a stove top. Breakfast was good, shower pressure was good, beds comfy, different pillow options. Parking was ample.

No shade around the pool and it was very hot. Apparently the large umbrellas were removed because they blew away when it was windy and that was dangerous. It would be nice if the deck chairs had smaller umbrellas people could put up or down as an alternate option

The room was incredibly spacious, featuring a sleek and modern bathroom. The bed was not only large but also exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful stay.

I arrived after Reception had closed but had arranged earlier in the day to collect my key card from the key safe at the reception door. Unfortunately, the code provided didn’t work, leaving me waiting outside at 10:30pm for assistance. However, the issue was quickly resolved once I was able to reach staff.
