After adjusting our expectations for accommodations in the remote Kimberley areas, we cannot deny Freshwater is considered top-notch. It is new and spacious, with basically all facilities that travelers need. Staff are friendly and helpful, but they are only available during their service hours, which will end at 6pm.

Strange design of the bathroom which has no partition with the bedroom. One person using the shower/basin or turning on the light of the bathroom will definitely seriously disturb the other person sleeping on the bed. We stayed on the ground floor. We could hear clearly the steps of people upstairs and feel the trembling of the ceiling whenever they walked around their unit.

Beautiful apartment and facilities. Short walk to the township and lovely walking tracks alongside the lake. Beautiful swimming pool area and very friendly helpful staff. Appreciated the shuttle to/from the airport. Comfortable bed, good shower, great facilities in kitchen. Fans and aircon great. Also appreciated free laundry services. 20 minute walk to airport to rent a 4WD car for the day. Drove to El Questro Wilderness Park and swam in the Zebedee Springs- highly recommended. Had dinner at the Pumphouse one night (taxi or car required) - beautiful meal and location. Pub meal at Kununurra Hotel with live music. Very nice friendly town. Coles supermarket about a 20 minute walk.

Given the nightly tariff of $400 pn, we expected to have our apartment serviced daily.

We stayed in apartment B1 for 3 nights in early July as per our booking. We enjoyed our stay a lot and wanted to stay for 3 more nights but unfortunately they were fully booked out. The apartment was very spacious, modern, clean and absolutely great. It had everything that one would need for an enjoyable stay. The kitchen was well equipped to cook if one wanted to. The wifi signal was quite strong. The laundry (washing machines and dryers) were free to use. I would definitely recommend this place.

It would have been good to have some cleaning during the week.

Cleaning and bed-making at least every second day. It was a bit hot to walk into town, and dangerous as. lot of unfenced guard dogs, but taff didn't offer us a lift to town until I read on the last day that you could request one, even though I asked them on the first day how I could get to town. They told me to call a taxi but the taxis were perpetually unavailable and we had to walk. One day I waited 40 minutes for a taxi after contacting four different taxi services so I had to take the shopping trolley back to the units to carry my shopping and the hotel rang me to report to me that I had left a shopping trolley outside.

The place was very clean. The common areas were spacious and open plan so it was a good space to hang out with the group. The Master is huge and the rest of the bedrooms a good size. There was a carton of milk in the fridge when we arrived which was a nice touch. Kitchen has everything required for self catering. Bathrooms were good, hot water and good pressure in the showers. No other amenities except soap, shampoo, conditioner and moisturiser all in pumps (BYO shower cap etc). There was a hairdryer. The free shuttles to and from the airport were great with no waiting times. There is free shuttle into town at 10am. Would be nice to have more regular shuttle times even if you need to pay. There's a bar/restaurant next door at the Grande, open 7 days, if you don't have easy access to town and a coffee shop in the caravan park opposite. The Pumphouse restaurant is promoted but you do need transport to get there (transport is available at a cost - check price before booking). Tips: There's liquor restrictions in Kununurra so make sure you take your physical ID. Also, being a small town, a lot of places are closed on Sunday so plan ahead - Coles is open and a couple of souvenir stores in the mall.

As mentioned in other reviews, noise from upstairs apartment is quite loud just from footsteps, scraping chairs etc. I would request an upstairs apartment because it can disturb your sleep. There is no security box which is surprising given how we were told to be cautious and lock all doors. Early check in and late check out wasn't available for us (there were lots of availability on booking.com the day we were checking out) but the times are stated clearly so I didn't rate down (or up :)) for this. Air con in master did not work, but again I didn't rate down as we only informed the reception on check out.

The room was excellent and everything we needed.

The ants in our bed. We reported the ants and all they did was changed the sheets. We are very clean people and no food laying around. The ants were coming from the garden at the front door. So we had ants in our bed again that night. The next day we bought some surface spray and sprayed the front door area and that resolved the problem.

The apartment was large and very comfortably furnished. The complex was very well maintained with very attractive gardens. We were pleased to be able to use the communal laundry which, like the rest of the property, was very clean and well maintained. Overall a very clean and comfortable apartment in a lovely setting. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.

Nothing to dislike.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable and was equipped with everything we needed to cook our own meals if we wanted do. The resort was beautiful and well kept. It was easy to access and park and we felt safe and secure the whole time. The pool area was great, with lots of places to relax. There was a BBQ area that looked nice and clean and well kept. We would stay here again and we would recommend this resort to other families.

I had an upstairs apartment looking over the lake across the road. It was very clean and comfortable. The pool was a very relaxing area with sun beds to relax on. Every morning I crossed the road to the coffee shop at the caravan park for great coffee as well good takeaway breakfast options. I loved the location as I could walk around the lake in a peaceful area but also walk to the shops.

We stayed from Sunday Night to Saturday Morning. We were in a 2 bedroom unit on the bottom floor that was a disabled room. The room itself was very clean and tidy and had most things we could have wanted (large size fridge/freezer, reasonable stove and oven, all the plates and bowls, (Although bigger sized bowls would have been good for breakfasts), bath and pool towels in the rooms, a good TV and comfy couches). All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The grounds were beautifully maintained and the pool was great.

We would not choose this room again for a few reasons (but would stay here again). As a tall family the lower kitchen benches weren't ideal, but as a disability room, they would have been perfect (They even thought about how someone in a wheelchair could get to the sink and had an empty space under the sink behind the cupboard doors so you could get your wheelchair under it). The biggest issue for us being on the ground floor was the noise from above. Even just normal walking around the room above created noise in our room. We had early risers (5.30am some mornings) and this woke us as they were moving around. If I was to book here again, I would probably request a room with no other room above, or be the one in the upstairs room.
