We loved everything about it! Perfect location in the town centre, close to everything, including restaurants, cafes and shops. Bathroom had quality linen and all amenities including toothpaste. Bedrooms had everything we needed to ensure comfort: aircon, blackout curtains, tea & coffee facilities, assortments of teas. Jacuzzi on the back terrace and Mini fridge with complimentary soft drinks, bottle water and even snacks! Beds had high quality linen and were very comfortable. Windows are soundproof ensuring peaceful environment despite it being in the town centre. Our hosts Paula and Stephen are the nicest of people and made us feel very much at home. Breakfast was fresh and delicious! This is a true gem located in the heart of York.

We were welcomed by Paula who showed us to our beautiful bedroom which had balconies facing the front and back of the property. There was a spa on the back facing balcony along with a table and chairs on both. The bed was large and very comfortable. We had a wonderful breakfast, cereals, fruit & yogurt as well as a cooked breakfast. We were able to park in the grounds. Stephen and Paula made us feel very welcome. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending their guest house and we would return if we passed this way again.

Avon Terrace Guest House more than exceeded my expectations! It's a beautifully appointed and charming historical building. It is exceedingly clean, and everything, from the tissues in the bathroom to the luxurious bedding, is of the highest quality. There are special touches like extra toiletries should you have forgotten anything. Our hosts made us feel very welcome and comfortable, and the highlight of our day was the absolutely delicious caramel fried banana hot porridge! We enjoyed the beautiful view from the back balcony as well as the big spa and leisure area on it. Everything is within walking distance in this lovely little town. I can't wait to return to this guest house!

The fact that we only stayed two days!

We enjoyed a two night stay at the Avon Terrace Guest House and it was absolutely fabulous. The hosts Paula and Stephen were so welcoming and friendly. The accommodation was very comfortable and beautifully furnished with high quality bed linen and super fluffy towels. It has an excellent location in the very heart of York. We had two fantastic breakfasts each morning - the porridge with caramelised banana was a real treat followed by bacon and eggs. It really set us up for the day. The property has so much history and we loved hearing all about it's very colourful past. And if all this wasn't enough it has a great spa bath on the balcony! We highly recommend the guest house and would like to thank Paula and Stephen for such an wonderful stay.

Right from the phone call telling us our room was ready up to the moment we left, hosts Paula & Stefan were amazing. Gorgeous guest house, our room was immaculate & comfortable, we enjoyed brilliant hospitality & a delicious home cooked breakfast. We enjoyed the spa upstairs on the balcony, overlooking the treetops & spire of nearby church with the pond & gardens below. Can't recommend this place enough. Charming guest house & like the rest of York, has an interesting past. Right in the heart of town & a stones throw from pubs & local sites, short walk to Residency Museum, everything right there. Fantastic!!

The accommodation is exceptional, we could not have hoped for more. The room was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The seating on the balcony provided a fantastic environment to relax and enjoy the sunset. The spa was perfect to relax in. Our hosts were fantastic, friendly, welcoming, we loved it. Breakfast and the company made us feel relaxed, right at home.

Paula and Stephen welcomed us on arrival. The accommodation was excellent and exceeded our expectations by a long way. The hot tub was an extra we were not expecting and was much appreciated after a long drive. Extremely spacious and comfortable accommodation. Paula provided a very tasty breakfast. Highly recommended.

Wow! What a beautiful, friendly town. Paula and Stephan are the most gracious of hosts, making sure their guests' comfort is their number 1 priority ❤️ it feels like you are coming home when you return from your days adventures. The room and the bed are so comfy and warm. 100% will recommend all my friends and family to stay here as I will when I come back again. Almost can't wait 😍

I loved every part of my York adventure.

We honestly liked everything about this accommodation. Paula our host was super friendly and helpful and cooked an amazing breakfast both mornings. The room was spacious and everything was neat and tidy. The spa and balcony was wonderful and there was even some complimentary goodies in the mini fridge! To top it off its located right in the heart of York.

It was a one-of-a-kind experience staying at this beautiful BnB at the courtesy of our wonderful hosts, Paula and Stephen. They made our stay unforgettable through how stellar they’ve been maintaining this historical facility and providing above and beyond service. The room was absolutely stylish and comfortable while still maintaining its olden day charm. We also had tasty homemade breakfast by Paula and Stephen themselves before they sat down for a nice chat with us. It was overall the most authentic accommodation experience I’ve ever had anywhere in WA.
