The pension is amazing, the decoration is really good and we were able to drop our bags while we were exploring the city and surroundings, we did not inform our arrival time accurately and we had to call in order for them to open the house for us, and it was super easy!

We did not have a car, so we will arrive by train and it is a little bit far from the Melk Bahnhof, there were no buses either to get to the house. That was no problem at all and we walked like 16 min with our bags.

The guesthouse is located in a nice, quiet area close to the center of Melk’s old town. Check-in was easy, following Bianca’s clear instructions. The room was decent — not very spacious, but suitable for three people. The bathroom was clean and well-equipped, with all the essentials such as toiletries and towels. Breakfast was satisfactory, with fresh products. Overall, we recommend this accommodation for a short stay of 1–2 nights.

The toilet was unusually high, which might be uncomfortable for some guests. Although the breakfast items were fresh, they were not replenished often, leading to some shortages. The beds were not particularly comfortable, and the pillows were even less so.

We loved Pension Marillenhof! Our host was so nice and friendly and stayed in touch with us and gave us instructions for all the things we needed and answered our emails when we had questions. The pension is charming and nicely decorated in Austrian style, which we loved. Our room was large, comfortable, and quiet, and of course, the typical Austrian super clean and well-arranged. There were other rooms next to ours and the breakfast area was adjacent to our room, but we heard absolutely nothing. The pension is located in a quiet residential neighborhood within a short walking distance of downtown Melk and the abbey. On our walks to downtown Melk, we loved walking through the beautiful cemetery that's on the hill on the way. The breakfast was wonderful with lots of homemade goodies and healthy choices of breads, cheeses, and meats, and of course, homemade apricot (marillen) jam! This was a wonderful place to stay and we will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Melk.

We liked everything and would have stayed for a whole month if we had the time!

Pension Marillenhof is very well located, under 5 minutes walk to the old town of Melk and close to food stores. Bianca our excellent host prepared a lovely breakfast - poached egg, selection of toasts, cheeses and meat as well as cereal and fruit. Access to the room was easy as we had the unit at the side where we could come and go freely. Bianca communicated promptly and clearly with us as we travelled from Salzburg. Excellent value.

We loved the peaceful location just a short walk from the Melk Abbey. The view over the orchards was stunning, especially during sunset. The room was cozy, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully decorated. Breakfast was homemade, with delicious local jams (especially the apricot!). The hosts were incredibly welcoming and shared great tips for hiking and dining in the area.

Nothing – everything was perfect!

The breakfast was extraordinary. So many small food details (2 types staffed small pickeled pepers, 2 tipes of olives, 5 tipes of chees, 3 tipes of sliced salamy, boiled domstic eggs just perfectly done, 4 tyles of bread, cheery tomatoes.Apple strudel, poppy strudel, nuts, creemy greek yogurt...what can I say more than excellent. It is sillent part of the city, 5 minutes walk to the centar of old town and the Abbey

There is nothing to dislike there

Excellent location, 10 minutes walk to the city center (uphill on the way back, but that's not a problem). The parking is right in front of the pension and there are enough places. Quiet and peaceful area. Check-in was easy and quick, we really liked the terrace, too bad it was cold and we couldn't stay outside for too long. It was perfect for our one night stay.

In a quiet neighbourhood just a few minutes off the Danube River bike path. We enjoyed the plate of fresh Wachau apricots in our room. Our hostess gave a great recommendation for dinner (Pasta e Pizza) which was a short walk from the guesthouse. We sipped complementary coffee on the morning on the patio.

We only stayed for 1 night & totally enjoyed ourselves. Bianca is friendly, helpful & accommodative! Location is excellent as it’s near the old town & the Abbey. Easy to find parking too. Breakfast provided was good. Thank you Pension Marillenhof !

The pension is a short distance from the historic center of the city, the rooms were clean, spacious and tastefully furnished. The owner took very good care of us upon arrival, she got us an excellent white wine. The breakfast was very good and we were satisfied.

It's just my feeling, for me the mattresses were very soft. But that's just my view. Otherwise, I have nothing to complain about.
