This is a typical Austrian Alpine hotel. If you take into account the location and the family who runs it, I would say it truly offers everything you need — including a good dose of charm. Please keep in mind: this is not a modern city hotel, so don’t expect ultra-modern rooms, a minibar, or similar extras. Instead, it’s an Alpine hotel where you should value the position, the traditional style, the atmosphere, and above all the genuine warmth of the family (several generations together) who take care of the guests. Everything we had was fresh and tasted really good. Breakfast offered a nice variety (just don’t expect a 5-star buffet) and everything was fresh every morning. For those who appreciate the location, nature, and the sound of cows in the early morning, watching the mountains and clouds drift by, this place is simply a perfect choice. And finally, the personal greetings and hospitality round everything off beautifully. And bonus point - you are just across Dachstein cable car :)

Improve wifi in the upper floor, although guest should value nature, peace, and animals surrounding you.

Lovely place with lovely owners and environment. We stayed for 3 nights and would love to stay more. The views were breathtaking and being in the hearth of the mountains is just lovely. Even when it rained one whole day we liked the short hikes around and just the cosiness was awesome.

The location was absolutely perfect, we could easily hike around the area. Overall, I believe that it was the best place for us to stay at, even better than being down in the town centre. We could easily reach the hotel by a public bus (960). The staff is super friendly and helpful, we were very happy with everything. If we would return to Dachstein, we would happily stay there again. :)

The location is great, just opposite to bus line 960 terminal, and 5 minutes walk to the Glacier Cable Car terminal. The balcony of my room faced the mountain with great view. The restaurant is cozy and warm, the food is tasty and the price is reasonable. A delicious breakfast is included. The host is very friend and helpful. I will definitely recommend to my friends.

The view from the window on the mountains wonderful. Service very helpful, nice. The girls are always smiling, they care about the atmosphere and the comfort of your stay. In the opinion of several people wrote about poor breakfasts. It's not true. The breakfasts were tasty, fresh products, very good coffee. This is a mountain hotel! We will stay here again if we are in Ramsau.

The family running Berghotel Turlwand were very welcoming and friendly and assisted us with language and advice around travel and sight seeing. We will visit again!

Magical view; lots of options for hiking. Comfortable clean accommodation; good bed; free parking; wi-fi worked well; friendly and helpful staff. The food options in the Cafe and Restaurant were good and reasonably priced. The closest accommodation to the Dachstein gondola.

Staff is very friendly and always looking to help. location is AMAZING. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

The furniture in the aisles needs some refurbish, but nothing to worry about, the place is in general great!

they charged us 44€ per child, despite small children I did not get the room I booked, they forced us to use a larger room with triple bed. so with 2 kids, 88€ extra on top of the 170€ initially payed. breakfast was way below our expectations, we had to ask for stuff and it was all just minimal. disappointed.
